It needs replacing about every 5 years, but that is with daily usage. The battery usually lasts about 2 years. I can also use it with either left or right hand when one get stiff or tired.

An excellent portable and functional unit

I've purchased five of them at present and never had any problem. The wheel is wonderfully functional for scrolling and navigating forward and backward in web pages, etc. They are durable, fashionable, and last for months on a single AA battery. I've tried a number of different brands of mice and even different models of Logitech mice and this remains by far my favorite.

Just plug in the usb, insert battery, and it's ready to use. I have small hands and it fits my hand perfectly; not bulky or cumbersome. It's comfortable, responsive, smooth, and works on multiple hard and soft surfaces. Was a great price as well. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a compact wireless mouse.

This plug-in to a USB port, with no special software, is the perfect compromise. Works great and can easily be moved from one computer to another, if necessary.

M305 Comfortable Mouse

It is comfortable to use. I prefer these smaller ones, as they are easy to carry around and for me it's more comfortable then using a larger mouse. Most of us don't need those extra fancy functions on a larger mouse anyway. I have been buying the M305's for several years for myself and family. Have no complaints.
