Solid wireless mouse

The Logitech M340 is a solid choice if you're someone like me that likes low-profile mice and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on them. While it's not perfect, it's a great option for an inexpensive wireless mouse. Make sure that your laptop or desktop computer can support this, however, because it only uses Logitech's 2.4 GHz wireless technology and not Bluetooth.
Setup - While I get why Logitech wants to use a clear clamshell package for retail display, it's not my favorite kind of package to get into. However, the rear of the package has cutouts for pulling the plastic open. Once you get the mouse out of the package, you'll want to lift the top shell by the mouse buttons in order to get underneath it. You'll need to pull a paper tab from the battery and pull the USB receiver from its hole in the mouse itself, then put the buttons back on.
Usage - Once the receiver is connected to your computer and the mouse is powered on, you're good to go. It functions like any other ordinary mouse. It prompted me to download the Logi Options+ software, but this isn't required for any additional functionality the mouse would have.
The clicks of the left and right buttons are nearly silent, meaning you won't hear yourself click. There is a tactile feel to the buttons, so you'll at least feel the click. For productivity, this is a solid option. You won't want to play any fast-paced games, however, as you may lose track of your finger being up or down on the button.
My only complaint? No Bluetooth, Unifying receiver, or Bolt support. Not a huge dealbreaker for a desktop PC or a laptop with multiple USB-A ports, but for people using Macs or newer computers that have more USB-C than USB-A ports on them, this can be a dealbreaker.
Still, the M340 is a good option if you want a low-profile wireless mouse that just works.

The M340 Limited Edition Wireless Ambidextrous Mouse with Silent Clicks is a super-affordable yet very stylish mouse from Logitech. It’s a perfect colorful match for any small laptop. The mouse has a very simple design and is quite flat and small. As such, it seems like it would be better suited for smaller hands. It works with a single “AA” battery that comes packaged with the mouse. It does require a small USB-A dongle to connect to a PC or laptop, so it will require a spare USB-A port. Installation is as simple as plugging in the dongle and you’re done. I would prefer a Bluetooth connection if given a choice. The Silent Clicks feature has its pluses and minuses. On the plus side, it’s definitely quiet and not likely to disturb anyone sitting nearby and yet there still remains a satisfying tactile feel when clicking. However, a minus is that has a bit of a mushy feel when clicking and that takes a bit of getting used to. The big attraction to this mouse is the variety of colored patterns and of course the price. Mine is the Sheer Dream model, and the soft colors are beautifully distinctive with a cream white trim. It’s a perfect match for my sapphire blue laptop. Of course, price dictates the features and the mouse’s optical resolution is only 1,000 dpi, but that’s plenty for general use and the intended audience.
It's great to see a company like Logitech, a leader in PC accessories, care about the environment in their use of recycled plastics in the manufacture of this mouse. I personally use Logitech mice and keyboards on all my PCs and laptops based not only on their solid quality and features, but it’s an added bonus to lend support to their efforts to protect the environment through the purchase of their products.

What a wonderful mouse! The logitech m340 wireless mouse is simple, light, and portable. It uses a usb wireless receiver to transmit signal. The top plate of the mouse actually comes off and gives access to the battery and usb dongle.
The on and off switch is on the bottom of the mouse. The top plate is magnetic and easily snaps on and off. There are a multitude of different cover plates you can get to fit your style as well.
The use is pretty standard and does carry just a bit of input lag, so using for a gaming setup might not be best. It does have a good feel to it, but it is a bit of a different feel to the left and right click, as the clicker is under the top plate and the clicks are not cut out seperate. The scroll wheel works well.
Overall, there is not much intricacy to this mouse. It is built well and doesn't feel cheap. It is stylish, and easy to setup. I think this is a great mouse to get for home or office use and with the ability to change the cover plate, makes it well worth the buy

The Logitech M340 Collection - Sheer Dream is a stylish, slim, simple mouse that is easily carried in my tablet case. All I needed was an adapter and it paired up seamlessly. It also paired seamlessly with my desktop as well. According to the information provided, it is compatible with Windows, ChromeOS, and Surface. I can verify it is compatible with Windows and ChromeOS. It is a simple mouse with just left and right clicks and a scroll button. It's major feature appears to be colors and designs which I found interesting, choosing a colorful print probably influenced by the 60s music I was listening to at the time. It comes ready to plug in and go. You just pull the tab which pops off the top opening to the battery chamber and where the USB plug is kept. Adjust the AA battery that's included, take out the USB plug and replace the top and you are ready to start. I like where the USB plug is located as I know I won't lose it unlike another mouse where the plug could easily drop out. It comes with Silent Touch Technology and it is indeed silent so it can be used anywhere without disturbing anyone. It just needs a very light touch to use which is still a bit difficult for a dinosaur who was taught on a manual typewriter. As for the mouse itself, the back of the mouse is a bit thicker than the front which is different than other slim mouses I've used. I like it as it fits better in my palm. It is still about the same length as my regular mouse but is slimmer. It's great for carrying with you. It worked on any surface I used, from a mouse pad, to wood, to my skirt. Overall, it is a stylish, basic mouse that is easy to use, easy to carry with you and does the job it was made for.

This review had input from my daughter (29 years old). Overall, I found the Logitech M340 Collection Mouse in “Sheer Dream” to be a great mouse. The design of the mouse is very cute and I love seeing it as I am working. The mouse is lightweight, which makes it easy to use and move around for different activities.
I used this mouse for both work and for video games. While it is best suited for work tasks, it did do alright with the video games as well. The mouse clicks are nearly silent, and the scroll bar moves easily and does not take up a lot of space. To use the mouse, I simply had to remove the cover, ensure the battery was on, and put a USB receiver dongle into a USB-A port on my computer and my mouse was ready to use.
I have the habit of doing some things right handed and some things left handed. All of my previous mice have been designed to be used in the right hand. This mouse is designed to be ambidextrous so I can use it in either hand. It's also very inexpensive and you can't go wrong for the price.
Easy setup and easy to use. I would recommend others try it as well.

I have always liked Logitech mice and this one is certainly no exception. First, the color and design is striking, and unique. It's comfortable to use and is the perfect size/shape to slip into a bag while traveling or in between meetings. The scroll wheel has the right touch and the clicks are silent which I think is a must for any business or classroom setting. It is accurate many surfaces and glides smoothly on most surfaces. It includes a USB receiver and battery which is hidden under the topside of the mouse for easy access. The battery is included, which is a huge plus and based on my experience with other Logitech mice like this one, you will go a long time on one battery. In fact, I recall going for months on the one I use for work and expect this one will be no different. I do wish it had Bluetooth for newer laptops that are switching to all USB Type C ports so that'd be the only thing I would say may be a deal breaker for some. If you have a Type-A port, this is a no brainer and an excellent mouse that I'd absolutely recommend.

Logitech M340 Mouse
This mouse can be used easily by left or right-handed individuals. It’s very compact, with a low profile that can easily be tucked in your laptop bag for travel.
I found the mouse to be somewhat small for my hands, but not uncomfortable to use. While I prefer a higher “shaped” profile that better fits into my hand, I do like the minimal size for travel with my laptop. The battery life is advertised as lasting as long as 18 months. Even if it only makes 12 months, I find that amazing and easy to live with.
Installation was super easy by just plugging the “dongle” into a USB-A Jack, turning on the mouse (or removing a piece of tape initially off the battery) and instantly I was up and running. There is a prominent On/Off button on the bottom of the mouse for when traveling or shutting down. My only suggestion would be to add a red or green color to the slide button to make it even easier to see if the mouse is on or off rather than trying to view the raised letters next to the power button. My other Logitech mouse does that and I like it.
Performance is great and it works flawlessly. The clicks and rolling wheel are all very quiet as advertised. And the mouse is made from at least 42% recycled plastic. I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone needing an inexpensive compact mouse that works extremely well.

Nice Little Mouse

Features
These stylish mouses come in an array of patterns, bringing a little bit of brightness to an otherwise (typically) dreary office! It has an ambidextrous design so anyone can use it. It runs on one AA battery and comes with both the nano receiver and the mouse.
Pros
The slim design of this mouse makes it much more comfortable in the hand over long periods of time. I also love that it's made with recycled plastic; I love seeing the little things companies do to try and reduce their carbon footprint. Silent Touch Technology reduces the clicking of the mouse by 90% in comparison to competitors. It is also compatible with Windows, ChromeOS, and Surface, which is much appreciated for someone who has a Windows laptop and a Surface tablet.
Cons
It claims 18-month battery life, but that is only if you do not use it and it is kept on. In reality, it is probably going to be half that. Of course it is conditional on each user's computing conditions, but I am always suspicious of products that claim these long battery lives.
Conclusion
All in all, it is a great item for the price point. I got one to use at my office and my colleagues seem to enjoy using its slim design much more than bigger/bulkier ones.

Great Portable Mouse, VERY fun color scheme

I love this line of portable mice from Logitech, and this one nails it, along with a very fun and unique color scheme. The M340 is the ideal mouse to have in your backpack, left or right handed user. The silent clicks are appreciated by everyone around you, yet you can still feel the positive feedback. Works with a typical logi nano receiver, which is probably my only complaint, that this one doesn't ALSO do bluetooth... but hey at this price point, they had to leave something out to keep it affordable, so I suppose that can be it. At least logitech nano receivers can usually be reprogrammed to connect to other logitech devices, and the 2.4ghz signal is quite reliable. The first time I had to change a battery in one of these mice I thought I was going to break it, but the design is so integrated that you might not realize where the seams are. Lastly, and perhaps most important is that this tracks true. It still won't work on highly reflective surfaces or black marble countertops, but aside from that the eye does it's job well. Logitech does it again with an affordable and very usable portable mouse.

This Logitech M340 mouse is perfectly functional, quiet, small and lightweight.
The mouse came in brilliant packaging - tear open plastic so you don't have to fight it or get cut trying to open it and get the mouse out.
Installation was very easy - you simply pull the battery tab which opens the cover to reveal the battery and the USB receiver. Once you plug the receiver into your computer and turn the mouse on - it's ready to use.
The mouse initially felt uncomfortably small in my hand, but the more I used it, the more I liked the feel of it. It is extremely lightweight and slim, which makes it easy to carry anywhere. A very simplistic design.
The mouse is responsive and when clicking the right or left buttons, is quite smooth and amazingly quiet. The scroll wheel is also smooth and noiseless.
You can get the mouse in a variety of different colors/patterns. The price is so affordable for such a good little mouse that you can order a few of them to carry in briefcases or have on hand.
Overall, I definitely recommend the Logitech M340 mouse!

First, let me say that Logitech has this down to a science. With the exception of travel, I use a Logitech mouse every day and have no issues – that said this would almost change my mind.
I’ll start with the connection – one small drawback is that it's not Bluetooth – I would prefer but also like the solid connection that the USB dongle provides so it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Once using the USB dongle connecting was straightforward and had no issues. After initial setup, it was basically plug it in and turn it on and it was ready to go. The setup was very easy and only took a couple of mins to get everything installed and drivers updated to the latest version.
Use – if you are looking at this for a daily use I personally would have a bit of a drawback as I have a pretty wide hand and it doesn't fit far enough into my palm to be a very comfortable use for hours on end However if you need a good travel mouse this would be an excellent choice It’s small and flat enough the carry on your pocket if you want
Features and functionality – absolutely no issue with the functionality it worked perfectly. And for the feature, the quiet click is really nice – the buttons have enough of a tactile feel in the click that you won’t miss the noise. The magnet top is a nice feature - easy to remove for access to the battery and the clip-in storage for the USB dongle.
Over all this is a really solid mouse and for me, if it was a tad bit bigger would be perfect in every use case as is though it would make a great travel mouse.

It's very cute to look at, and the battery life is solid. That is about where the good starts to taper off.
The size and general ergonomics aren't great for someone with large hands.
The biggest issue I have is that the accelerometer is not good at all. If you try to navigate in Google Maps, for example, a simple flick of the finger will send you catapulting into the stratosphere or zoomed all the way in.

There are a few different Logitech pebble mice that are worth mentioning in my mind.
There is the M350/355 (I think the 355 is the old number maybe?) which has a unifying receiver and Bluetooth
Then there is the M350S which is only Bluetooth.
Then there is this one the M340 which is only a wireless receiver (USB). This 340 is the exact same size as my old 355 and the overs can even be swapped, so I was a little surprised when it only came with wireless and had to look into it. Depending on what you need this could be perfect. The USB receiver can be stored in the mouse but is USB A so hopefully your computer still has one of those, otherwise you’ll need an adapter, and the nano receiver might not seem so nano anymore.
This is by far the quietest mouse I’ve every used. It is precise, easy to use and quiet, all the perfect things in a travel companion. While I love my ergo mouse, it doen’t fit in the bag very easily so having a super slim mouse is a must. The color is just fun.
If you have a single laptop that has a USB A port that isn’t being used by other things, this will make an awesome mouse. If you have multiple laptops (work and home) and like to just use one mouse or use it with a tablet. I wouldn’t recommend this one (the Bluetooth one instead).
Pros:
Slim
Quiet
Fun design
Precise
Cons:
USB A dongle
Only works with dongle

Fun colored compact mouse

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This is a fun colored compact mouse that just works the way you would expect. There's nothing particularly fancy about it functionally, but it gives you some nice options for color and style beyond the basic black or white you see with a lot of other mice.
Setup was simple, I just plugged it into the usb slot and it registered and started working in seconds. Wireless signal seems strong with no lags or stuttering. It also uses a standard battery so if it dies you can get it back up and running quickly without trying to plug it in with a usb port. That's a plus or minus depending on your preferences.
It is compact, but what they mean by that is that it is low profile. Its still about as wide and long as most of your basic mice, but it isn't very tall at all. This is a big benefit when throwing it into a laptop bag since it doesn't bulge out and helps keep your bag's pockets fairly flat. The downside is that it means your hand is pretty flat to the table and isn't the most comfortable to use. If you're using this for kids, or if you have smaller hands, you probably won't mind, but it started to bother me after a while. I still like it as a backup on my laptop when traveling because it packs well, but I wouldn't use this as my everyday mouse with my docking station and monitor.
All things considered, this is a good mouse with some fun color options.
