The Logitech M500s is truly a great mouse—that is if you are into the old school “standard plug and play” then this mouse may be for you. I especially love its size as it is pretty large in both length and circumference; therefore, if you have larger hands, then you should be able to maneuver with relative ease and comfort. I have other Logitech mice with the braided cord in which I really do appreciate the durability that they have. However, this mouse has basic cord, but it does appear to be durable. I have experienced ease of usage when surfing the internet with this mouse as it glides and clicks with relative ease. I have not experienced any lag or missed-clicks when using this mouse. Thus far, I truly don’t see anything to negate its overall performance. However, due to its large size, some may want to use it with a desktop as it could very well be used with a laptop, but bear in mind it does take up port space if you’re limited in available slots.

I wasn't expecting anything special out of this mouse. I was wrong. It feels like a premium product in my hand, and definitely doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart like a lot of mice I've used do. I particularly like being able to use the Logitech Options software to change what some of the buttons on the mouse do - I never use the forward and back buttons, for instance, but I do use volume controls and track controls. The frictionless scroll wheel is a bit much to get used to, but you can easily click the button below the scroll wheel to turn it to a normal scroll wheel. That's really nice, and a good accessibility feature. The tilt is nice too, and makes side scrolling less tedious. Finally, the ergonomic shape is a bit odd considering I'm not used to it, but after a long day of using it I have to say my hand feels better. Overall, it's a really nice mouse and I'd definitely recommend it, even for stuff like gaming.

Sometimes you don't need a fancy, high DPI, changing colors, options with weights kind of thing. Sometimes you just need a darn mouse. Well, this one is it. Extra buttons and a scroll wheel with click options for freewheel take your mousing game up a notch. Laser optics instead of the traditional old optical eye will keep your cursor moving even when you shove this mouse through that accumulating layer of Cheeto dust on your work from home desk. The gentle ergonomic shape might not keep you from getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but also will go a long way to that end, and feels more comfortable under the hand. Corded means price is right and no batteries to go dead. Or for your rude small coworkers to steal for use in their noisy toys. Either way, you have to have one of these, you should pick this one.

I'm partial to Logitech mice. This one is really good! I took it to work to use for my daily driver as I work at a computer all day. The mouse looks HUGE, but it surprisingly fits my small hand well. I can no longer handle not having the back button by my thumb. This one is in the perfect place and the forward button is easy to reach too as both sit just above where the thumb rests. The movement is a nice smooth glide and the clicking is the same precision we've come to expect from Logitech. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fast scroll. I have another Logitech mouse with that feature and I will continue to look for it if I ever am in the market for an additional mouse. This mouse would certainly appeal to those who prefer wired mice. It feels good in the hand and works great, as expected!

Are you looking for a mouse that is super comfortable for long sessions while you are surfing the web or playing games? Then the Logitech M500wired mouse is for you. Testing the mouse I spent 8 hours doing excel, PowerPoints and lots of mouse work. My hand was comfortable and didn't hurt after a long day. It glides across mouse pads with ease and has the hyperscroll feature that lets you get through those longs webpages and documents super fast! Its light, durable and its Logitech! Highly reccomend.

My new Logitech optical mouse is awesome, the size is perfect for my hand fits comfortable, love the side thumb buttons that allow you to go back & forth between you previous page & current page without having to move your mouse all at the simple click of a button, reduce stress on the wrist. The fast scroll silent wheel is awesome & you can adjust that at the click of a button to slow it down also! I have no complaints for it being a wired mouse it been perfect! Awesome for my workdays

I’ve had the pleasure of using this mouse for over a week now and it’s a solid as it can get. At this price point they’re basically giving it for free. It’s a bit on the lighter end in terms of weight as I’m used to more heavier mouses for gaming, but as a general scrolling mouse like for an office setting and work, this is perfect.

The M500 mouse proved to fit comfortably in the palm of my hand. It has very well designed contours so that your hand does rest on top of the mouse and seems to automatically slide your fingers into the positions for the left/right buttons and the scroll wheel. The sides have a soft rubber texture and the whole mouse feels cool in your hand because of the premium surfaces. I am going to make this my main mouse even though I prefer a wireless mouse because the cut/paste operations are more precise than others I have used. Also the scroll wheel has a very precise scroll left/right feature not just scroll up/down. For forward/back browsing buttons, Logitech figured out that you need to have a nice indent below the buttons so you don’t accidently hit them. Logitech did a great job here also. You can use the button below the scroll wheel to make the scrolling smoother/faster or slower with an audible soft click as you spin the scroll wheel. The Logitech Options Software will enable you to modify the button assignments as well as adjust the pointer speed. I do recommend this very well designed and affordable wired mouse. I loved it.

Overall, this mouse checks all the boxes for me. -easy to use -easy to set up -great shape for my hand -responsive and accurate -buttons feel and click nice This mouse is a no frills kind of product. It is very functional and has a great shape than doesn't hurt your hand with extended use.

The Logitech - M500s Wired Optical Mouse does not have the traditional rectangular shape with a rounded front and back, but instead it is rounded on its sides and its top with an indentation that fits my thumb perfectly and gives my four fingers the appropriate space to comfortably control the mouse. It has the benefit of being a plug and play device. I installed Logitech’s Options software which gave me the ability to customize the buttons actions. Scrolling can be sped up by using the Scroll wheel mode button, which reduces friction and thus increases speed. It really scrolls super fast. Enabling smooth scrolling slides the cursor so fast, it gets lost. A left-handed person can swap left and right buttons for better control. There is a developer mode in the software that allows installation of third-party application profiles for development purposes. Being able to program the Logitech - M500s Wired Optical Mouse to my specific computer processing needs makes it a grat asset to complete my computing tasks.

Having used many mice over the years it’s can be hard to tell them apart. The key is which ones are smooth and responsive. Another thing I like is it has a good feel in the hand. This mouse meets all of those requirements. Wired still works well and helps with the responsiveness. I would recommend this product.

The Logitech M500 series is the quintessential classic optical wired mouse. The build quality is excellent as is the case with all of Logitech's input devices, but the M500 series is their mid-premium range level, and the build quality here is their standard quality. Button clicks seem durable and are clearly articulated, and scrolling has just the right amount of tactile feedback. All in all this is a great USB-A connected mouse for wired use cases where a wireless mouse just wont work. I suspect a USB-Type-C connector version would be a great add to this lineup with Dell's XPS and Apple's MacBook lines no longer including any USB-A ports. Otherwise this is the perfect product (for wired cases).

The M500S is an excellent corded mouse with a very comfortable fit and feel and great features at a great price! Features You can switch between "hyper-fast" or normal click-click-click scrolling with the click of a button. This is a feature I love! Hyper-fast scrolling is a huge time saver when scrolling through a long list, a long email chain, or down a very long web page and it's more convenient to me than using a scroll bar. The high resolution is great! It does 400-4000 DPI, adjustable using Logitech Options which you can download for free. My horizontal screen real-estate across monitors when I work is 8,320, with desktop scaling turned off. The high resolution of the M500S lets me maneuver across my workspace with a short amount of physical mouse travel. It has a back and forward button on the left side along with a wheel that can tilt left or right for two additional "buttons". You can also press on the wheel for it to act as a "button" as well. Fit and Feel I love the fit in the hand - it's perfect! At least for someone who is right handed. The right side is slightly lower than the left side and your thumb fits perfectly under the side buttons, allowing your hand to very comfortably grip the mouse with the rubberized right and left sides. The click is solid, but not tiring, and it activates as it should, when you feel and hear it. The feel of the roller is great too. It has a great feel and click during normal scrolling and when in hyperfast mode it scrolls fast as it should! There's rubber down the center of the wheel for better grip. Logitech Options Logitech Options is a free download that you can install on your PC to configure the mouse. This lets you adjust the DPI and other configuration options. You can assign keyboard keystrokes to the buttons or use them to launch apps as well as controlling system functions like volume up/down, copy, paste, and many other things. You can even set the mouse to have a specific configuration for a specific application you run. You can't configure the button that's used to switch the scroll wheel mode or the main left and right mouse button. You can switch the left and right mouse buttons to make the right button primary and the left button secondary.

I like having a wired mouse to reduce interference with my other technology. This mouse is simple but practical. It is a little smaller than what I'm used to, and would like it to be a hair bigger, but after using it a few days - it is comfortable. I really like the speed and responsiveness of the scroll wheel but mostly like that you can select a silent mode for the wheel! The mouse has seven shortcut buttons, which help with common tasks and are a time saver, even using just a couple. Overall, this mouse is great.

I walked into Best Buy and spoke with "my trusted" go-to guy for all things computer related at the Best Buy location I always go to at First & Main in Colorado Springs. I quickly explained what my problem was; and before I made this purchase, he also made sure that I did all things I needed to first with my existing mouse to make sure I wasn't spending money I didn't need to. Then he pointed me to this mouse. Installation was super quick - under a minute; and it's worked beautifully ever since.

I love all of my Logitech products. My Bluetooth died and this was a great replacement for a wired mouse. I only regret it does not have the thumb wheel to move pages from side to side.

I like this mouse. Its a bit like the classic mx518 but has a slightly different shape. I like the rubberized grip. The scroll wheel is fantastic. The build quality is a bit cheapy though. I wish they made a version that felt more substantial.

The Logitech M500 just might be the best wired mouse I've ever used. It's super comfortable, contoured, and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. It has rubberized grips on the side which provide a nice feel. Easily plugs in and starts right up so no software to download. However, software is available if you want to customize the buttons for games, or any use, like cut/paste. Also includes a center button that allows you to change from "click/scroll" to "fast/scroll" for easier viewing of websites, etc. A great product at a great price - thanks Logitech!

TLDR: Decent DPI levels, great for right handed folks, comfortable for full days, using as my work mouse! Pro's: I use a "palm" grip, and am right handed, so this fits well! I have slightly larger than average hands for a male. The side buttons are right where they should be. I use and have used many versions of Logitech's gaming mice, way back to the earlier/mid 2000's. The option to "unlock" and "lock" the scrolling wheel is an AMAZING feature I loved on the MX Revolution that I used for YEARS as a gaming/everyday mouse. Con's: None, great value!
