It doesn't react quick enough. Very slow but looks good as a paper weight.

    Not for large hands

I saw the M510 mouse on sale recently and decided to pick it up. Plug and play: The mouse worked perfectly after plugging it into my windows 7 desktop. Interface: I had to download the software for the mouse as it did not come with a disc. The software lets you change the mouse speed, acceleration, assign buttons, etc.. Ergonomics: I'm going from a larger mouse - the Logitech MX518 (same shape as Logitech G400) which is a wired mouse. I was immediately disappointed in the feel of the M510 in comparison which is made for a smaller hand. Both my ring and pinky fingers touch the desk now w/o support whereas the shape of the MX518 comfortably fit my hand and allowed my ring finger to rest on top of the mouse and my pink hug the side with a little bit of support. The side buttons on the M510 are kinda awkward and don't really have the convenient positioning that the MX518 had. Sadly I'm going to return the mouse and go back to a wired setup unless I can find a suitable wireless replacement in a larger size. For reference I wear around a size L in gloves or maybe slightly larger. On a side note - I couldn't really configure the software to make it feel like my old mouse but maybe I was imagining the awkwardness - hard to tell. I played around with a lot of the settings.

I bought this mouse to go with my laptop at work because I hate using the pad on the laptop. This mouse has been amazing so far. The size and contour are perfect for my hand and fit comfortably. I love having the scrolling wheel in the middle and the forward and back buttons on the side. This really makes navigating pages much easier. The laser is very responsive and I haven't had any issues at all with connectivity. Battery life seems to be pretty great as well.

    Extremely Happy

I have just ordered a custom build computer and wanted to get all new peripherals. I had spent an hour looking at keyboards and mice at Best Buy and had done a good bit of poking around online for reviews. I was not looking for a wireless keyboard at this time but was intrigued by the fact that I could have a single receiver for both a keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. (They call this a ‘Unifying Receiver’) So I also got a Logitech K800 wireless keyboard which I gave a 5 star review for. I installed the receiver on the front of my computer and connected the mouse. It was found right away and away I went. I will echo what another review said about the unit tracking on just about any surface. I even found that I could get it to track quite well on my arm :-) I am happy with every aspect of this mouse would give a point of action to anyone buying any sort of ‘human interface device’: You should interface with it before buying it. I laugh at reviews from people who say a mouse it too small, too big, too clunky, etc…I spent an hour handling every unit Best Buy had in the store as the most important thing to me was the feel. Overall I’m extremely happy with this mouse

Yes, me too, it's a great mouse.

Like most of the other reviewers, I'm exceedingly happy with this mouse. Over the past few years, I've been happily using Logitech's MX Anywhere mouse, but they have an issue -- they just wear out over time, and start malfunctioning. Logitech actually has a "new, improved" version, which I definitely don't like as much as the older version. I went through that routine the last time I needed to replace my malfunctioning MX Anywhere mouse, and I managed to find an older version, then returned the newer one. But now that mouse is malfunctioning, so what do I do now? I tried a different mouse I didn't quite like, so I went looking again, and found the M510 Advanced. Oh, this one feels "just right" in my hand. And it actually works with a little "personal problem" I've always had -- I've always tended to rest my "right mouse finger" on the right button, which tends to lead to unwanted right mouse clicks. Well, look at the design of this mouse -- instead of "the buttons going all the way out to the edges" of the mouse, they are "inset" with a bit of a frame around them. PERFECT! I can rest my finger on the right button, with my finger also on that "frame" around it, and I don't launch any inadvertent right clicks. So, it works fine, it works with Logitech's "Unifying" hardware and software, and thus with my Logitech wireless keyboard, it feels fine in my hand, and it works with my lazy right mouse finger. Perfect! Actually, writing this review really clarified something for me: Heck, I ought to buy a bunch of these things while they're available, and hopefully that'll keep me mouse-happy for a decade or two in the future. This one is JUST RIGHT.

Great Mouse, Convenient in a Hurry

This particular Logitech model, M510, is my favourite. Comfy in the hand, reliable, oldie but definitely a goodie. When my old one died, I loved being able to order online, then head to the store an hour later and pick it up.

    Good mouse for average user

I bought this mouse at a Walmart 2 years ago, upgrading from a peace of trash Microsoft mouse. This is not the type of mouse for gaming because I managed to break one of the side buttons by dropping it several times. After some hardcore gaming I noticed that the left right and middle mouse buttons became loose. It felt very weird in my hand and the buttons were weird to press while playing counter strike. This is a very great mouse for the average user but not for a hardcore gamer on a budget. I rate this 4 stars for being long lasting but it does wear down a bit.

    Nice Large Size Mouse

I have 3 other smaller size Logitech mouses that have been in use for numerous years, tied to 3 other laptops. I decided to buy this large size as is more comfortable for my larger hand when working on my main 15.6 Asus F556. The smaller ones are used with the 11" laptops when using outside my home or traveling. They just plug and play.

I bought this to use at work because i couldnt stand the one provided by our IT dept. I love this mouse, I needed to have a back and forward button and this mouse does not dissapoint. It is very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. And the install process was a no brainer. I would recomend this to anybody looking for a mouse.

    Mouse of Greatness

Alright, I'm no mouse expert or a super tech-savvy person. I do, however, understand when a product performs well. This one does. Value for price: I got it on sale for $30 but I went to the store fully intending to pay the $40. Good price. Compatability: I haven't gone around testing it on other computers but it works perfectly fine on mine, Windows 7 64-bit OS. Design: Couldn't be much more simple. It's a mouse with a standard scroller. The scroll has its own right and left clicks and there are two arrow buttons on the side of the mouse that are not hard to reach at all. Also, the mouse size is pretty standard, not small but not big either so it should be comfortable for most people. Ease of use: Super simple. Plug the little receiver in a USB port, wait for a little bit, and you're ready to go. The only actual thing you have to do with the mouse is pull a battery tab out. Performance: Has not failed me at all. Sensitive and very receptive. Works on pretty much every surface. The range of connection is really good too. I could move the mouse from a few rooms away when I tried it. Overall, great mouse for the money, not lacking in any regard.

The M510 mouse tracks really well on all surfaces. Nice rubber on sides for grip which makes it easy to hold and handle. Batteries last forever. It has a on / off switch feature underneath. Excellent mouse and I went back to Best Buy an purchase a second one after trying it out for the other laptop in our home that my family use. Bluetooth is awesome.
