I bought this to go with my new lapto, which I am using exclusively in my lap, in my living room. It installed seamlessly and works very well. I do not know what the two little buttons on the left of the big buttons are for. If somebody could answer that, I/d be curious. Whatever it is, might come in handy. :) I do recommend this to anyone. Very comfortable and works perfectly.

No more picking your mouse up to re-center your field of operation. All movement is controlled by your thumb turning the ball - (up-down) (left-right) even diagonal. Left-click and right-click are just like on a mouse. It has 2 additional buttons that you can even program if you want to. I usually pop-out the ball once a week and brush off the dust that can collect on the contacts that control cursor movement. A mouse is a thing of the past.

I had one of these that plugged in, finally giving out after years of use, when I worked on a computer all day at my old job. Now that I am retired, I decided to get another one. This one is so much nicer not having another cord to worry about. It really helps with the issue of my hand getting so tired. I just put my hand on it and roll the ball. It takes a little getting use to for those who have never used one before, but you will catch on quickly.

This is my second Logitech trackball mouse. I really enjoy using this particular mouse. It fits neatly into my hand and is easy to control. The trackball decreases wrist and hand movement when I am using my computer. I used to have carpal tunnel but have not had issues with it since I started using this mouse. I also like that I can use this mouse in a small space without being concerned that it will fall off the keyboard tray or arm of my chair because I don't have to move it around as much as a normal mouse. I highly recommend this trackball mouse to anyone who works in small spaces or a comfy armchair.

I own an older model and needed another one for working from home. This item is great. Since the time I started using the trackballs, my wrist has never had any issues. When I was using a mouse, my wrist would be hurting at the end of the day. Made a simple switch to a trackball, never hurt again! It takes some time to get use too, but definitely worth it!

I have more control with a trackball than I have with a mouse. This trackball fits perfectly in my right hand. I have not had any forearm fatigue since I began using the trackball.

I bought this because I wanted a mouse that I didn’t have to physically move the entire mouse. By having the mouse ball, it allows me to move the cursor with ease and precision. I find that this would be perfect for digital artists to because of the precision you can achieve from the movement of the ball. It was so good, I ended up buying a second one to bring on the go.

I had a wired Trackman Marble+ that I purchased back in 1998 and when it died, I bought the M570. I have one of these on my home PC and I purchased another to use on my work computer. I work long hours on spreadsheets and the wrist and tendonitis pain was becoming unbearable. Since I bought this, the pain is all but gone. I highly recommend this product for anyone that may be experiencing the same wrist pain and tendonitis that I had.

This is an excellent Trac ball mouse. I used a Microsoft Trac ball mouse for years. The Microsoft Trac Ball mouse was so highly rated that even being discontinued it sells used for up to $80.00. Mine finally died on me so I had a big decision to make. Buy another Microsoft mouse or take a chance on the new improved Logitech mouse. I really didn't think anything could match the performance of my Microsoft Trac ball. Was I wrong !!!. The Logitech performed just as well. In other words it is an outstanding performer. I'm an adult gamer and this mouse is so state of the art you can even download a free app from Logitech to fine tune the mouse....Very Cool Indeed...To say I have found the ultimate mouse is putting it lightly. To use an expression my beloved Grandmother used "I'm Over The Moon" Do yourself a favor and buy and enjoy this mouse. If you never used a tracking ball give yourself a week to learn it. ONCE YOU DO YOU WILL NEVER USE A REGULAR MOUSE AGAIN. You don't have to move your arm or wrist ever again. No strain no pain...effortlessly let's you move the cursor in a very precise way. The Logitech satisfied me in every way. It earned my Highest Rating. 5 STARS. LIke I said, once you tried it you will never go back to a regular mouse. After you experience how comfortable and accurate it is you will also be "OVER THE MOON"...Grin...now you have to admit..it doesn't get better than that. Also remember there is a free download from Logitech if you want to fine tune the mouse. This is something I learned in a gaming room after I bought the Logitech. In my opinion right out of the box my mouse worked so well I didn't make any changes...BUT...Logitech gives you options and that speaks well for the company.

Very easy to use, solid trackball mouse, once you use it you will not want to go back to a mouse pad based system.

This is a different kind of mouse. It has a trackball on the side that moves your cursor, rather than the usual sliding around the mousepad type of action. This is a big plus for those who have limited room, or for those who wish to use the mouse as a sort of remote control. It seems to be compatible with the latest Linux systems (although Ubuntu 12.04 doesn't pick it up right away. You have to unplug the USB receiver before booting up. Ubuntu 13.04 is fine, though). I would recommend this mouse to anyone that's looking for something a bit different.

My husband loves this mouse for playing Warcraft. So he recommended it. Took a while to get use to the rollerball. Never had a mouse with that feature. I like it and fits great in your hand.
