    Great Mouse !

The Logitech M705 Marathon mouse has about 8 different functions and most of them are programmable or you can just disable a function if you prefer, thru the driver software. I disabled the three buttons that are in the area of my right thumb, I am right handed...so I did not accidentally hit them, while I was getting use to the mouse. The one feature I really like on this mouse is the option to have a "free wheeling" scroll wheel. You can click on the button just behind the scroll wheel and toggle the scroll wheel so it is "free wheeling" and smooth with no feeling of "detents" and is extremely fast or you can use the same button to toggle it to create the familiar "detent" scroll wheel feel which also tells the scroll wheel to move just the number of lines you have set it for (within the driver software) to move in the scroll area...3 lines per detent is usually the default. Sometimes in free wheeling mode the area scrolled will drop (scroll) back down somewhat when you are trying to stop the scrolling motion and you have to move the scroll wheel up a little more to position it back to where you wanted it, but when you get used to the sensitivity of the movement on the scroll wheel it is acceptable. I love the free wheeling mode when I am 10 or twelve pages down in an article or reading reviews and I what to get back to page one I just give that wheel a sharp finger flick and away it goes, no more pawing at the scroll wheel moving the usual defaulted three lines at a time. But if I need or want the detents back...I just press the toggle button...quick and easy ! I have medium to large size hands and this mouse fits my hand like it was custom made just for me. I got this just before Christmas 2017 at a really good price of $19 dollars!

I purchased this Logitech mouse to use with my second laptop. For some reason I seem to do better with a wireless mouse with my laptop. I have had other Logitech mice in the past and was always happy with them. The Marathon is ergonomic but not clunky like some can be. Ease of use and programming the buttons. I have had no problems with lagging, etc. Would definitely recommend.

I am an information analyst for a large company, so I float from application to application and use my mouse religiously. I have larger hands, and this mouse fits PERFECTLY in my hands. No pain, easy to use, and the quick scroll feature and side function buttons make it so easy to navigate from place to place (or scroll through a 10,000 row excel document). HIGHLY recommend!

The mouse words very well and connects very easily with the unified system. Very responsive especially for a wireless and the button to disable the wheel friction is an advantage for long scrolling. Programmable buttons can be useful but are unobtrusive so can be ignored without difficulty if not needed. Batteries last a very long time which is further extended by remembering to turn the mouse off.

This is a nice mouse i like how it fits in my hand. The page back and page forward buttons are a nice touch. The page scrolling wheel has 2 settings allowing for slow scrolling or fast scrolling. When you want to get back to top of the page you can unlock the wheel and with one spin zoom back to the top.

Purchased a new HP Notebook over the holidays and tried to only use the touchpad, but I'm old school and really needed a mouse. This Logitech M705 is ergonomic, medium sized and feels good in the hand. Set up took less than a minute. I like the hyper scrolling, but mouse is smooth either way. No issues with this mouse.

My old Logitech mouse went out on me after a few years. So, I decided to buy a new one but wanted to stick with Logitech. I looked at a lot of them but this one stood out. The price was a little higher than I originally planned to pay for but I went for it anyway. First of all, this is the smoothest scroll I’ve ever had on a mouse. There is a button near but below the scroll wheel. Click it once your scroll has notches where you have a little tension when you’re scrolling. Click it again it’s so smooth you can’t hear a thing. Left and right click buttons are loud. So if you’re looking for a silent click this one isn’t for you. Batteries do come with this. Also, if you think they didn’t give you the usb receiver, it’s inside the battery compartment in the mouse. So far the batteries have lasted and I’ve had it on for 3 weeks straight now. That means I have yet to turn the mouse off yet. But to be fair I should mention The computer doesn’t get used a lot. So the batteries might drain faster if you use it more often. I prefer to use rechargeable batteries, but I’m using the ones that came with the mouse to test. After these drain I’ll stick my rechargeable ones in, which should last longer anyway.

You get programmable buttons Control the speed of the mouse and get a notification on your computer when the batteries are running low. No more guess work! I have had carpal tunnel surgery and I have to say that this is comfortable to use both left and right handed. By default it's set for right hand. Goto the link that's on the paperwork inside it and install the software. Makes programming the keys simple too.

The Logitech M705 mouse does everything as advertised. The programmable buttons are handy for repetitive tasks. It fits in your hand and makes using it a long time a great experience. This mouse comes with a battery that should last 3 years. Very accurate and allows you to speed along on webpages or documents.

I've always been a big fan of Logitech mice. This one is probably my favorite. I have mid-sized hands and it fits perfectly in my hand. There is a small button on top just below the scrolling wheel that changes the scroll from a fluid, rapid scroll to a more precise, clicking type scroll. It also has a large button on the thumb side (which you don't even realize is there, that's really handy.

I bought this for my son, He uses his computer as much as I do and hes always asking for batteries. A good battery last me about 1.5 years. No Lie. I love the ergonomics of this. I use all buttons, I set up a forward and back. Biggest is I set up an undo. click it and its like it never happened. I need it, use it only second to the left click.

This mouse is excellent. With AA batteries, it lasts much longer than previous AAA battery systems. There is an odd problem I have found with this product, namely that the side padding tends to separate from the body of the mouse. I use a small piece of double stick tape and the problem is completely resolved - but this is a surprising shortcoming in design. That said, this mouse is so good, I just purchased a second for my wife who needed a replacement - she is delighted.

I find this mouse to deliever the best of both worlds. The ergonomics of this mouse fit my hand perfectly. Being able to switch the precision of the scroll wheel (either free spinning or with resistance) is its biggest selling point for me as different programs call for different levels of sensitivity. It sips on its battery and is very durable.

The mouse is fantastic. It actually does have an insane battery life: the application keeps reading 1000+ days. The fit and finish is solid; it fits my palm / claw hybrid grip well. Sensor looks solid: it's gliding just fine on top of a leather-covered desk. It uses 125Hz polling (likely for battery life); works fine on my 60Hz monitor. The scroll wheel's dual modes are fantastic. Very smooth <-> ratchet. And no, my fingers have never accidentally switched modes. Yes, the USB transmitter can be hidden inside the mouse underneath the battery cover (there's a slot for it). The little "sensor" button on the bottom left (that activates an "alt-tab" like interface in Windows 10) is HUGE for productivity. Really useful, when you have 10+ windows open. All in all, a solid mouse. Light enough to be mobile, heavy enough to feel to feel solid in hand. The negatives: in the beginning, I used to side scroll accidentally instead of middle-clicking. Side scroll doesn't seem to work in most places, so I just reassigned it to forward-back on websites. Now, I'm much more "precise" with middle click vs left scroll vs right scroll. Otherwise, I love it! :D

This mouse was a great buy that I truly recommend for someone who needs something for on the go. The mouse can be small enough to pack into any bag and its wireless so that's always a great thing. It also has an ergonomic design which is great to handle any strain you might get from prolonged use.
