M705 Marathon Mouse no longer a quality product

The pads on the bottom no longer have a smooth/shiny finish and therefore slides roughly over a normal mousepad. It also feels differently in the hand. The thumb rest is less pronounced and is less comfortable. The universal receiver no longer works with my older logitech products. The M705 Marathon mouse has been my favorite for many years but I won't buy another one.
