Great Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model a little over five years ago and used it every day. I more than got my money's worth out of the last one, and I'm sure I'll get the same out of this one.

Decent value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor control, but it's always on sale... Not sure if that's an indicator on quality. Works fine though. I would not recommend for gaming.

Cheap version of a once great mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 3rd M705 mouse I've purchased and it will be the last. This is a low quality version of the original M705 mouse. The weight is significantly less than the previous version, the finish is worse and the buttons are terrible. Even the on/off button is really bad. How do you screw that up? The price cut from $79.99 down to $25 should have been a clue so shame on me. For the $25 price tag I suppose I got what I paid for.

Logitech M705 Wireless Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mouse because my old Logitech mouse died...So this was my first M705 wireless mouse. After a week or so the mouse started acting weird and the double clicking was very annoying. Upon further investigation this is a common problem with this mouse and has to do with the left clicker part inside. Cheap Component. So I do not recommend this mouse for gaming or any computer use at all.

Scroll wheel is just too sensitive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scroll wheel moving many lines up and down is a neat feature, however it is just too sensitive. Regular movement of mouse would cause screen to skip up or down a few lines by itself. I really wanted to like this mouse because of its "vertical" shape as in other mice I have used, but the scroll was too much of a negative.

Absolute JUNK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frustrating POJ...Ripping open the sealed plastic package is the only thing that works with this product, because of the pre-cut opening. That doesn't matter, because the product doesn't work: Popped the included batteries into the mouse (correctly), and inserted it's USB dongle into a USB slot. Windows reports it didn't install correctly and the device may not work properly. No kidding, because - in addition - no light emanates from the "high performance laser" (that's what's printed on it, no kidding!) I then tried three other slots with the same abysmal install results. After turning the mouse on/off switch on, to see if - at least - the laser in the mouse made light, I was right about that suspicion too. Dead donkey. I measured the batteries voltage which was fine, and even tried other, new batteries without any improvement. I returned this POJ, and went back to open another one in the store, going through all the same steps (except the USB dongle). That laser was dead too! The entire box of mouses don't work. No wonder this is on sale. In fact, Costco and Logitech should PAY ME for my time and gas wasted on this stupid product trying to get one to work. Using a ten year old mechanical mouse for now, made when products weren't complete fails, until I can order a simple, $2 wired, optical mouse. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK! This posting will end up on my ten global consumer websites in four languages (read by about 310,000,000 readers) as a prominent Southern California Consumer Advocate.

Unusable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse scrolls on its own, making it impossible to use for any type of editing. The screen view jumps up and down, and zooms in an out on its own because the mouse is spuriously sending the message to move. The underlying root is that the scroll wheel has too much momentum and is very difficult to stop from rolling. It rolls on its own even by the motion of moving the mouse in other ways. In order to make it through the week with it I've had to spend way too much time and effort to slow the wheel before making my next move with the mouse. It takes forever to make sure it's in the right position before I can click and do what I need to do with the mouse. I need a mouse with a wheel so there's no point in just disabling the wheel. I've given it a week and have had enough. I plan to give it away and get something else.

Poor design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scroll wheel is unusable in fast mode as it does whatever it wants when moving the mouse, probably not balanced well. Clicks are the loudest, most obnoxious I have ever heard on a mouse. Gives hand cramps as it's too wide even for large hands.

Updated model - Missing a button
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased this as a replacement to an older M705 mouse. I loved the old one that had 3 programmable buttons by the thumb, but this new one is missing one of the thumb buttons. The missing button happened to be the one i used the most. This update should have used a new model number to indicate that it is not the same as the older M705 mice.

Long press, lousy on clicks, not sturdy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i am fooled by these highly rated reviews. Glad i got this while on sale or else i would have regretted for overpaying for this poorly built product. Buttons are so loose, even for gentle moves buttons can shack. i have to give deep press to click the buttons. adding fuel to the flame it makes lousy sound on clicks.

Would prefer NO stars
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech - Marathon Mouse M705 Wireless Laser Mouse is one of the most poorly designed mice on the market. EVERY computer mouse in existence has had the sensor it uses in the center of the product, but not this one. This one has it's laser on the very edge on the right side. Unless you plan on moving your entire arm when using this mouse then it is pretty worthless.

Bad redesign
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse used to be the best for its price, but now it look slike they redesigned it with much cheaper materials and just is not worth $30. The buttons are finicky and the top plastic is very cheap and poor. For $30, there are better mouses and this crap.
