Logitech for Life

Now, I preface this with that I've been a Logitech customer for 15+ years. Whenever I need to replace my mouse and/or keyboard - I ALWAYS go Logitech. I work from home and do a lot of PC gaming - so I think it's safe to say I put a lot of miles on my keyboard and mouse. This mouse has held up for quite some time (and still going) through the click abuse of some of my online gaming. It's perfectly comfortable and ergonomic. However, I think one of its best traits is its battery life. Changing the batteries happens next to never - I might change two Duracells out of this maybe once a year - if that. I can't remember the last time I had to switch the batteries.
Overall - a top-notch mouse.

The Logitech M705 Marathon Wireless Optical Mouse is an exceptional option for individuals who require a wireless mouse that is both durable and dependable. It is user-friendly, boasts an exceptional battery life, and provides a diverse array of capabilities. Although Bluetooth connectivity is not available, this is a minor inconvenience that the majority of users will not find objectionable. In conclusion, I would strongly advise the use of the Logitech M705 Marathon Wireless Optical Mouse.

This mouse fits my hand nicely, although I prefer the slightly larger MX Master. It's very fast and accurate and lasts up to 36 months on a set of batteries! I now have several of these M705 mice and am very pleased with their performance. the rubber tread on the scroll wheel is a very nice touch.

Very satisfied with how it moves and the button feel. I haven’t programmed the two thumb button on the side. I never have before but I think that would help me in my workflow.

I was so happy with my first Logitech M705 Marathon mouse that I've bought a 2nd one. This device is easy to set up and use right out of the packaging. It has programmable buttons which will be useful to those in the business world or those who use a lot of tabs. For me though, it's just a great little mouse to use on my home PC for browsing, email, games, and other functions.

I have been using a Logitech M705 mouse for five years now with my iMac computer and have been very pleased with it. Though it is still going strong after all these years, I decided to pick up another M705 from Best Buy when it went on sale for half-price. The M705 has ample buttons and each can be assigned any function from an extensive list in the Logitech Control Panel. The M705 has good size & heft and a great feel in your hand -- it is designed to be a desktop mouse and not intended for portable devices. The battery life goes on forever. I have only had to replace the AA batteries once since I first purchased the mouse in 2014. Overall, I highly recommend this Logitech mouse!

So far I have been very happy with this wireless mouse from Logitech that I purchased to replace an old wired mouse. It's very comfortable in my hand and easy to use. It's also nice not having to fight around with a wire since it has an optical wireless design that requires 2 AA batteries. Not sure how long the batteries will last but there is an on/off switch on the bottom that will allow you to turn it off if it's not in use. I have been leaving it on all the time. It's very quick and responsive when you move it. It also has excellent wireless range.

I purchased this along with a Logitech wireless keyboard to take advantage of the Unify feature. It is very comfortable in your hand and easy to use. "As long as you are right handed." On the other hand or left hand I should say it is a different story. My wife hates it as she is left handed!
Battery life is reported to be three years. I can't say just yet but I suppose it will be as good as the rest of my wireless devices. Tracking is nice and smooth and the scroll wheel can be set to detent or free spinning for quick scrolling. Overall this is an excellent mouse that I would have no trouble recommending!

I have smaller hands but this works great for me! Have not had hand strain thus far and it is comfy to use. Works great too, a little on the sensitive side. For reference, xbox series x controllers get uncomfortable for me to use after a few hours of gaming and the older, larger controllers were uncomfortable within the first hour of gaming.

So Far, So Good

Everything should work perfectly when new, and this mouse does! It has been delivering extremely well in the weeks I've been using it. It responds exceptionally vis-a-vis tracking, clicking, and scrolling. How long that continues to be the case is the more important consideration. My first Logitech mouse, the Anywhere MX, gave me three years' service; the second (another Anywhere MX) lasted less than a year. [Because I no longer had its receipt (my bad) Logitech would not honor the warranty.] For my third mouse, I went with this one, the Logitech M705, based on the reviews I read. (side note: Best Buy really had the best buy!) So far, the M705 has been excellent. I can't evaluate it's longevity just six weeks out, but I'm hopeful.

More than a basic mouse

This mouse works like you would expect a mouse to work so there's not too much exciting to say. It does have some extra features. There's a button near the scroll wheel that changes the scroll wheel setting from "clicky" to almost free-spinning. The free spinning wheel lets you scroll very fast through a long document or whatever, so if you have to do a lot of scrolling, it might be nice to have - we don't use it very much. There's also buttons on the side that apparently change function depending on what you are doing (or so says my gamer son). For my purposes, I have noticed that one of them works like the "back" button on my browser so I don't have to scroll up to the top and actually click the back button, I can just click the mouse button instead. Overall this mouse is comfortable to use. I probably could have gotten by with just a basic mouse but if you do a lot of scrolling or you need the extra buttons for video games, this is the mouse for you!

This mouse is a nice size for a desktop and fits comfortably in the (right) hand. I like the FWD/BACK browser buttons on the side, easily reached by the thumb with good tactile feedback. But the scroll wheel is a little chintzy - it has a I/O button on top that permits the scroll wheel to move in "clicks" or roll freely (called hyper-scrolling). Unfortunately on day two of use, this button became semi-broken, only working intermittently. Overall, I decided to keep the mouse rather than return it ... and I find it to be reasonably accurate (unless placed on a certain surfaces). The build quality is surprisingly not as "solid" feeling as I expected seeing it in the package, but it's passable. Battery life is not a concern to me, but this seems to have long life based on other reviews.

This is absolutely great. There are just 2 differences (not problems) from other mice I have used.
The first is the scroll wheel being "slippery." When I scroll past rungs on the scroll wheel, it is very easy to slip past and go to the next rung.
The next, is middle clicking (pushing the scroll wheel down) is a bit difficult to hit precisely. I need to push the wheel at different angles, which is not that much of a hassle, but it is a difference with other mice, in order to middle click.
Lastly, which is a personal problem, is that the mouse is a bit small for my hands. It is still ok, but just not perfectly snug in my hand. I have an 11cm hand span for reference.

Fast Mouse!

A comfortable responsive mouse and the buttons work. The scroll wheel is fantastic in hyper-fast mode, you can make quick work of a long list by giving it a good flick with your finger and letting it spin for several seconds. The only complaint that I have, and for me it is not that big of a problem, is that while the scroll wheel is in free mode if you lift up on the mouse it tilts back or forward then it will cause the program you are using to occasionally scroll up or down or a little of both so you may need to get into the habit of switching it back to precision mode. Just a minor problem. Over all I have been very happy with this mouse.
