The bluetooth connection is very weak, and often freezes up entirely. I've tried changing the batteries in the keyboard, moving my entire computer set up around so that my keyboard is practically pressed up against the wireless USB plug, and it still functions correctly only half the time. I'll type a whole sentence, but then nothing happens on the screen because the keyboard won't connect. Then, in a weird delayed reaction, the sentence I just wrote will show up all at once BUT with all the letters and punctuation in a nonsensical jumble. It is extremely frustrating.

The dongle stopped working in about 3 weeks. Sadly Best Buy return policy is only 2 weeks on items like this. Needless to say I now have to deal with the manufacturer and use my old wired stuff.

Posted .Hi Brownsbacker92, I'm sorry that you experienced difficulty with the MK270 keyboard. I hope that you tried using a different USB port on your computer/laptop to clear up the connection issue. Also, the USB receiver is rated for 33 feet, even within that distance there can be some disconnect depending on how many other devices you have giving off signal in the general area. Sales associate brought me one from the back room. When I returned home (4 hours away from the store I purchased it at) I did not get around to opening the box for a couple weeks. Appears mine was a returned item as the usb piece that plugs into the computer was missing. Over 3 hours on the phone with customer support and the only option provided was take it back to the store (4 hours away). All in all I have a decorative mouse and keyboard since I can’t use them with the USB adapter.

Posted .Hello, I am so sorry you were unable to locate the USB dongle. It may be stored in the bottom of the mouse where the battery compartment is located. Mouse wore out quickly. It may have been a bad unit but it was a cheaper model and our secretary put it through a hard workout. For light duty at home it may be okay.

I have attached a link to the “Getting Started” support page for the Logitech MK270, here you can find product guides, software downloads and further assistance. If you have not already done so, I recommend downloading the Logitech “SetPoint” and “Options” software for customization. I am unsure of exactly what you are experiencing with the mouse, but you may want to run the “Connection Utility” software to check for Firmware updates. “Connection Utility” can also be used to reestablish the connection of the mouse and keyboard to the USB Nano receiver. If the issue still remains after these steps and after restarting your computer, please contact Logitech support for further assistance.

The keys had a strange feel and the mouse was much lighter than I expected. I am much happier with my more expensive Logitech sets.
