It works just as well as the other and has much better range, at about ten feet the other would cut out input or have tremendous lag. Thanks to Logitech's "unifying" technology you can use the same dongle with most their other mice and keyboards, so if you later change you mind about the type of keyboard or mouse the switch is easy and doesn't use up extra usb ports. The only cons are that both the keyboard and mouse use regular batteries and that they do not use the same type. The kb uses two AAA batteries and the mouse uses one AA. I would recommend also buying a set of rechargeable batteries if you don't already own one.
