    There is no way to not be able instal. You just plug into a USB port and voila! I did have a newer mouse I wanted to pair with te keyboard since it was Logitech too but since the keyboard and mouse came together the font work with newer Logitech devices that use the pairing software.

    Attention: USB stick left close the keyboard and mouse will be faster. I use it at work in my room as a computer technician. Allows me to type any words or create graphic organizers etc. on the projector screen without having to be directly at my desk. A previous wireless mouse/keyboard combo I had ended up with a defective scroll key on the mouse. So far this is holding up really well.
