    I purchased this item because my corded keyboard did not have a cord long enough to avoid me having to see the full board on my pullout drawer. This also prevented me from rolling back and forth with my office chair which put a strain on my knees. I am now able to keep on desktop and be closer to keyboard without a messy cord.

    I bought this for a headless server that I occasionally need to access. I rarely use the keyboard and mouse. However, having this means I don't have to pull a KB or mouse off another computer in the house. The receiver stays plugged into an unused USB port. I can turn the mouse and keyboard on whenever I need them. This is a no-frills mouse and keyboard. I haven't used them enough to know how long they will last.
