    I didn't have to install any special software. Plugged the USB adapter in and the keyboard and mouse began working immediately. The batteries are also easy to replace.

    Keyboard and mouse connect with ease. Mouse can be used without the keyboard. I can take the mouse to work for meetings and then have the full keyboard at home and mouse at home.

    only complaint is that when i hit the caps lock key it doesn't have a light to tell me that is is on. but otherwise a good basic keyboard.
