They last about 3 years and are a good deal for the price. It usually is the mouse that starts to screw up the keyboards always seem to work. I usually drop the mouse at least 1 time each week which might account for the mouse failure.

The only thing to watch out for is the distance from the Usb receiver and the product. I had to connect the usb reciever to the front USB port on my PC because it would lose signal from time to time if it was plugged in the back port
