I would rather use my existing mouse rather than the one that came with this. BUT - the older M317 mouse will not connect to the receiver that came with this - the new mouse is M340. The keyboard does not have an on-off switch that I can see either. So I had to slide out the top of the keyboard and remove the battery to turn it off and on for trying to connect to the unifying receiver. Bad move on my part. Yes, I have tried the Logitech Connection Utility

Individual unit issue or larger problem

Additionally while it was connected via a 10gbps it was still lagging on screen
