Good for light work
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect size to take on vacation or business trip. Nicely spaced keys and not much is missing from a full sized board. Battery life will have to wait to see if it lives up to the rated life. But so far so good and have not had issues with the included batteries. Pros: Light Nice key movement No issues with connection or setup it up comes with mouse and keyboard on same dongle. slim design for easy storage and packing for trips or smaller places. no skipping of letters while typing and keeps up with all my rapid fire backspacing (haha) Cons: Mouse works but flat design hurts my hand after awhile. I can't use with my hand flat so I end up with my hand "floating" above it while in use. Keyboard is not lit and letters are not pure white, so anything other than a well lit room has been a issue. Keyboard does not have a on/off switch. So like most wireless keyboards it will go to sleep to save battery. Issue is if you put in backpack or the like. It will keep turning on every time the keys are hit. Dongle storage area is very tight and you almost break it to get it in. It is only two little plastic fingers that seem to be ready to snap off. Keyboard battery area is easily dislodged and has come off a few times during transport. I still like using it. But right now I am not planning on using it in a lot of places. Instead I will put it in the second room and leave it.

Small but does the Job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit leary when I first opened the box as the keyboard is quite a bit smaller than the one I was using. Then I realized that it is the same size as my laptop keyboard and I was good to go. It has opened up so much space on my desk and has made typing notes much easier. The F-keys are great shortcuts and I really like the images on the keys to remind you what they do. The touch is very light so typing is fast and smooth. I haven't noticed any lag time as I've done with other wireless keyboards and it can keep up with a fast typist. It is also very quiet which is great. The mouse is slim and took a bit of getting used to but now it feels natural. This was so easy to set up and there was no big download to wait for. Also, it worked in conjunction with my old keyboard and mouse which I found interesting. My only complaint is that there is no indicator when the cap and number locks are on which can really be a problem when trying to type in passwords. Having a cat that likes to walk across keyboards makes knowing if the locks are on or off important. I would also think those keys would be easy to hit if you are handling it to travel. This unit is great for the office or home computers as it really gives you extra space on your desk. It is also light and compact enough that it fits in quite well with a laptop so easy for travel. So, far, I'm loving it.

Pretty solid mouse/keyboard combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always been a fan of Logitech products as they're pretty reliable and solid performance. This little combo set is no different. Never hurts to have one of these around the house. Obviously for your computer/laptop but this also works well if you have a smart TV with browser. The keyboard is quite slim however it has a bit of heft to it which I like. It doesn't feel like there's a piece of plastic on your lap like with some other brands. Keyboard is pretty smooth operation so no issues so far there. For those seeking a minimalist look/feel, you'll probably like this one. The mouse is okay. Personally, I think it's a bit too low profile. I prefer mice with some decent ergonomic grip to it and this mouse is quite flat compared to others. Other people may like this, however it doesn't suit my tastes. Biggest pro for this is the battery life in that this combo boasts 18 month life for the keyboard and 36 month (3 YEARS) for the mouse without needing to replace the battery. While I can't speak to this, I'm quite intrigued by this as one of the major problems with other mice/keyboard combos is the battery life lasting a few months or so before replacing the batteries. Again, pretty solid set that should appeal to just about anyone.

Super Quiet and a Great Feel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech MK470 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo is great. I love the sleek, minimalist design, while still having a number pad. Additionally, I did not realize how load my previous keyboard was, bu this keyboard is QUIET! The last element I am excited about is the battery life. The mouse is supposed to last for 36 months, and the keyboard for 18 months.

Sleek, quiet, perfect size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard/mouse combo is perfect for the desktop setup. The keyboard is very sleek and slim not taking up any space at all and it has a full size keyboard! The keys are very precise when typing and do not have a plastic rudimentary feel to them. They have a semi firm and quiet depress when typing. The keyboard looks almost high end with a low end price. The batteries are included and has an automatic sleep mode that shuts it down when not in use and saves battery life... so there is no power button to manually turn it off saving a little time when powering off the computer and just walking away. The mouse is very small, a little smaller than I would like for my average to larger hands, but it works. The button function of clicking the right and left bottom is very slight. It almost feels like I’m not pushing the button at all, almost like a touch button of sorts. The scroll and printing motion of the mouse is very precise and has a full range of motion with the slightest movement of the mouse.... very nice. It will be replacing my previous wireless keyboard/mouse combo that has full function of buttons (volume/mute etc.) just because I really like the look, feel, and functionality of this combo that much more. A very good buy if you are in the market!

Good Keyboard and Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What's in the box ---------------- 1. Logitech MK470 Keyboard and Mouse 2. USB receiver Pros ---- 1. Super Light weight keyboard and mouse 2. Plug and play, nothing to install\ 3. Super long Battery life - 36 months for keyboard and 18 months for mouse. 3. one receiver and 2 devices (Keyboard and Mouse) 4. Super Quiet keyboard keys 5. Its beautiful 6. Comes pre-installed with batteries 7. its got a windows button! Cons ---- 1. Not a Keyboard and mouse combo like the K400r 2. No backlight. 3. Its a windows mouse, no mac support. Review ------- SETUP The setup is a breeze, just plug in the USB receiver into any of the usb port on the computer or laptop and you are good to go USAGE Its a great slim keyboard and has all the keys that a typical laptop will have. The only downside is that its not a keyboard and mouse in one like the K400r. Other than that, the keyboard is super light and very quiet. someone could be sleeping in the room and i could be typing away a novel, yes its that quiet. It has a full numeric keyboard and i think they could have eliminated it to keep it even more smaller since the number keys are already there. Instead, the number keys on the side can be substituted by a mouse and that would have been more beneficial. The good part about this keyboard mouse is the auto sleep function and it sleeps when not in use. On my earlier keyboard the K400r, i had to manually turn on and off the keys. Overall, its a good value instead of a full sized heavy keyboard and mouse. Save the real estate for something better.

Nice Basic Keyboard, Mouse is OK
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a fan of Logitech's keyboards, and this one is no exception. If you're looking for a solid, basic keyboard an mouse, this is a great option. As much as I want to get into mechanical keyboards, I'm usually drawn to the low-travel "chicklet" keyboards like this. This particular keyboard has a nice feel to it and ix extremely quiet when typing away. If you work in a really quiet office environment and want to avoid making your co-workers crazy, this is your keyboard! It uses a scissor-lift mechanism like the newer Apple keyboards. I'm using mine with a MacBook on a stand, even though it has all Windows markings. In a world or rechargeable keyboards I'm happy to see this one take batteries. I never remember to plug in a rechargeable keyboard at night and it's always easy to keep a few AAA batteries around the desk. Logitech promises around 18 months of life on a set of batteries. Obviously I can't confirm that for a while! The MK470 comes with a USB dongle for both the mouse and keyboard. I actually like that arrangement over Bluetooth most of the time. I have some high-end Bluetooth headphones that start to stutter when sharing bandwidth with other devices, so I prefer to keep them separate. The mouse is okay, but nothing particularly special. It feels a little light and the lower-profile mice tend to make my wrist hurt after a while. I prefer something taller to keep my hand in a relaxed position, but that's totally personal preference.

Simple and a 10-key
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this little pair. I received these about a week ago to test out and have not put them down yet. I have a PC, a laptop, and a PC tablet and each have their own function in my day-to-day. The PC is mainly gaming, and I use some higher end peripherals for that one and the laptop has built ins of course. The tablet though is where I wanted to apply this mouse and keyboard and I have not been sorry. I like having the tablet out in the living room to have available for whatever while chilling out in there. We had just a mouse on it to ease use while share screening to the tv but having the keyboard and mouse combo is where it's at. This slim MK470 is perfect to leave out because they are small, sleek, and eye appealing. Or if I prefer, it is small enough to be easily stowed in my coffee table drawer. The keyboard has a 10 Key which I think is such a bonus and the lack of would have been a deal breaker. The mouse is a very basic wireless mouse, but it WORKS great. They both come with batteries installed and I get the impression I will be replacing the mouse and keyboard before the batteries die. This is a neat little combo for any desk, counter, table, or couch.

Good keyboard, small mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech bills the MK470 as a slim mouse and keyboard combo. And they nailed it on slim. The keyboard is sleek and minimalist, yet still has a number pad. Logitech aimed at making it quiet, and it is. The hidden compartment under the logi logo is a bonus. I'm no keyboard snob, but the keyboard feels good to me. My only gripe is that there is no indication that caps lock or num lock are on. On the other hand, the lack of indicator lights helps battery life to be phenomenal, with the keyboard rated at up to 36 months, and the mouse up to 18 months. Now, for the mouse. It works fine. And it fits in with the slim design Logitech was going for. It's just...too slim. Specifically, it's too small for my hand, and I don't have big hands. So, what's the verdict? If slim and compact are what you are going for, the MK470 Slim Wireless Mouse and Keyboard Combo fits the bill. Or if you work in an environment where quiet operation is paramount, this could be exactly what you need. But at least for me, the mouse is just too small to be comfortable.

Full-Function, Low-Profile Keyboard + Mouse Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech MK470 Slim Wireless Mouse and Keyboard Combo packs a full-sized keyboard and numerical keypad, plus an optical mouse, in a small package.Unbox it, activate the batteries, plug the single USB receiver into your laptop, and you’re good to go in less than five minutes. I tested the keyboard and mouse in a small business environment, and it appears to be business-worthy. Pros: The keyboard keys have a comfortable typing action and the mouse has right and left buttons and a central scrolling wheel that also works as a third button. The batteries should last many months, up to 18 and 36 for the keyboard and mouse. Setup is fast and intuitive, with illustrated instructions inside the box. The keyboard and mouse should work with both Windows PCs and Mac computers. The design is sleek, with full-sized keys, a numeric keypad, and full row of mappable function keys. Cons: Neither the keyboard or the mouse are ergonomic or adjustable; they are slim and low-profile. This makes the MK470 combo good for stashing in your messenger bag along with your laptop. If you need an ergonomic keyboard and mouse, consider other Logitech products. The keyboard works with my Mac, but I was not able to remap the “modifier keys” (e.g., Control > Command, Alt > Option, etc.) to use simple keyboard shortcuts like “copy” and “paste.”

Excellent Wireless Combo for Numeric Input Needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech - MK470 Slim Wireless Mouse and Keyboard Combo is and does exactly what it claims. It also does it in a simple, straight-forward way. I like that the keyboard is light, yet works great for typing. For my needs, the numerical key-pad is not an essential feature. However, it's nice when you need it. For those whose work-load demands regular numerical input, it is a must-have feature. The mouse works very well and feels effortless to use. The combo was very easy to set up and use - even on my older MacBookPro. The only thing to remember is that the wireless signal comes via a small attachment that needs to be plugged into a USB 2or3 port. In this day of USB-C ports and Hubs, those older connections are becoming less available. If that's not an issue, this is an excellent combo.

Love this Quiet, Pink Keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a petite woman who works in a call center. My call center replaced all of the keyboards with extra-large, super loud & clackety keyboards. They all have a wide space at the bottom of them, which makes it hard for my small hands to reach the actual keys. After just one week of trying my best to like them, I gave up and bought this keyboard. I love it because it is pink. There is a very narrow space at the bottom, which makes it super easy to reach the keys. And it is QUIET! For being wireless, it keeps up with my typing speed just as well as a corded keyboard does (this is awesome, since the call center I work in is a 911 center where fast and accurate typing are very important!) I like that it has a 'number pad' on it. I like that the 'F' buttons have options to do just about anything (volume controls, muting, etc). At the end of my shift, I unplug the little USB that came with this keyboard and place it in my locker with the keyboard. I never have to disconnect the giant keyboard, I just move it to the side in favor of this beauty. The keyboard is awesome, the mouse is garbage. I just use the regular 'work mouse' because the pink one that came with this keyboard is just weird.

Exactly what I needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect size, quiet, fits in my backpack. I use this combo for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and its perfect. I have a docking station that I hook the USB to, but it allows for me to bring my tablet somewhere and use it as a computer, it's small enough that any flat surface will do and it's super portable. Way better than spending $350 on a keyboard case

Cheap Mouse and Non-Unifying Receiver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keyboard: Thinness of the keyboard is astounding. It needs to be picked up regularly to appreciate. There must be a steel plate in the keyboard to provide rigidity to the thinness. This has given the keyboard some weight and it becomes useful when using on a table so that the keyboard doesn't move away as you're typing. The weight seems very evenly distributed as well. However, I think the steel plate has added too much weight. When actually weighed, the MK470 keyboard is actually 1/4 ounce heavier than a Logitech K360. It thinness belies its weight. I've owned a few compact keyboards. Mostly from Logitech. I like that the MK470 keyboard is very compact. I like the styling. But it comes with a cost. The arrow keys are all placed below the right-hand shift key and they just seem too small. I actually prefer their old K360 keyboard as it separates the arrow keys from the rest of the keyboard just by taking up a little more space. This has the added benefit of being able to find the keys very easily by touch. The MK470 arrow keys are difficult to find since they have no separation from the rest of the keys. Right now, with the MK470, I have a hard time adjusting to the layout of the special keys. At the top of the keyboard is a gray colored cover. The cover has a slight indent to provide some grip in order to remove the cover. I thought the curved channel would allow me to rest a pen there. While it is possible, with careful placement of the pen, I found the overall angle of the keyboard causes pens to roll to the Fn keys. Speaking of the overall angle of the keyboard, there are no adjustable legs to change the angle of the keyboard. Under the cover, on the right side, resides the two AAA batteries that run the keyboard for a reported 36 months. Towards the middle there is a place to store the nano USB receiver. On the left, there is a large void. Unfortunately the cover has a matching extra plastic ribbing underneath. I thought the void could be used to store extra batteries for the system, but the extra plastic ribbing prevents the usage of the void. The typing experience matches most laptop keyboards. It is very smooth and the keys have just enough travel. What surprised me is that there is no power switch for the keyboard, so short of popping out the batteries, there is no way to turn off the keyboard. The keyboard also lacks indicator lights for the caps lock, num lock and scroll lock. Mouse: The mouse is cheap feeling. It is light. Its backend is higher than its front. The backend angle is sharper than it appears, making it jut into my palm a little more than I like. Since it has no arch to it, it doesn't fit nicely into my hand and makes the mouse feel smaller than it is. The cover is magnetic and is easily removed to access the single AA battery used to power the mouse for up to 18 months. The magnets seems strong enough that I don't feel like the cover will pop off in my bag. What's most noticeable about the mouse is its quietness. Its clicking tone sounds like the trackpad buttons on my laptop, only quieter. It's approaching the point where I'm feeling the click more through my finger than I can hear it. Nano-Receiver: Included in the package is a Non-Unifying receiver. It is paired only with the mouse and keyboard in the MK470 combo set. This means that I cannot pair any additional keyboard or mice. This is troublesome as I would like to keep a mouse/keyboard set at home and at work and be able to connect either set without having to swap out the nano-USB receiver. My previous setup had the nano-sized Unifying receiver plugged into my laptop and I had a mouse and keyboard at each location paired to that single receiver. I took the extra step to install Logitech Options to see if there were any additional settings that I could manage. I found there really isn't much use for Logitech Options. In fact, the interface assumes you are using a Unifying or Bluetooth receiver. Since the MK470 does not use either of these protocols, I eventually clicked past the Unifying and Bluetooth pairing and was able to see a couple simple options for this keyboard/mouse combo set. I would recommend skipping the Logitech Options settings for most people. Overall, this set is OK for light occasional use. For all day use, I'd recommend a full size keyboard and a full sized mouse like the M510. With the lack of a Unifying receiver, I'm rather disappointed with this MK470. Having a Unifying receiver opens my choices to mix and match scenarios that would probably fit my needs better. Such as pairing the K360 keyboard with an M510 mouse.
