Keyboard and Mouse Lag with Mac

However, after about a month both the keyboard and mouse started lagging. There is a major delay and it's so incredibly frustrating and difficult to work. I'm now looking to return or replace it because it doesn't do its job at all anymore. I thought it was a battery issue, but I've put brand new batteries in both items and it still doesn't work.
