It's a wireless keyboard and mouse for a Windows computer -- replacing one that wouldn't take a charge anymore (which was less than a year old). So this one uses a battery. It connected easily. It's not some funky ergonomic shape. The mouse is a standard mouse. It all worked right away -- no fuss no muss. It's not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I got it for a guy who's older -- and needs to be able to do "normal" browsing, banking, and emailing. It fit the bill just right.
