    Horrible keyboard, good mouse

    I've been using the keyboard for the last two months and still can't type properly on it. It's just horrible. The general connectivity and battery-life are impressive and the mouse is just fine.

    I bought this keyboard hoping for an amazing experience but I was extremely disappointed. For anyone looking for a good keyboard, one of the most important factors is decent key travel, which seems to be lacking on many of the Logitech models. I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse combo I bought a while ago which has far more travel and is a joy to type. I cannot say the same for this one which was why I had to return it. Typing on it was just horrible. As for the mouse, this seems to be another huge problem with the "lower-end" keyboards. All of these mice are so tiny and unusable! Be aware of this because that was a complete turn off for me.

    I was replacing one i had had so long the letters were no longer able to be seen, this one works great, it has a lower profile so easy on the wrist, rounded keys are very nice on the finger tips

    This is a newer model I guess, but performs worse than an older model Logitech wireless keyboard & mouse set I bought at Wal-Mart about 3 years ago! I only sit about 5 feet away from my TV (monitor) for PC gaming.

    Bought this set and the mouse stopped working less than a year later. They keyboard still works great though! Disappointed half of the system works at this point.

      Hi, thank you for sharing your experience with the MK540. I'm sorry that the mouse has stopped working. When the battery on the mouse is changed it will sometimes effect its pairing to the Unifying Receiver. You can try and repair the mouse to the USB receiver by downloading the Unifying Software from here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025297913 You can follow the on screen prompts to add the mouse back to the receiver. You can also purchase a different mouse that is Unifying ready and add the mouse and keyboard to the same receiver so that they both operate off one USB receiver.     This is a nice keyboard, but oddly enough, at least for me, the keys seem to be a little "too" quiet. I realize this isn't really a negative, but I prefer my keys to make a little sound as I'm typing, and this one is fairly quiet... almost silent, even.

    Bought one for work and loved it so much, needed one for home. To my surprise the one that I recently ordered was in gray and the mouse was cooler and more comfortable. Highly recommended!

    The keyboard does not connect with computer right away. Then when it connects and you leave for awhile it takes another 2-5 minutes to connect again. It’s the pits.

      Hello there, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having issues with your MK540 keyboard and mouse combo. It certainly sounds like you're having some connectivity issues, so I would recommend making sure the USB is fully inserted into the computer, and possibly think about swapping the receiver to a different port, possibly one closer to the devices or with less obstructions, as that could be causing the disconnections.

    Bought this last month. This package was OK until today; the mouse stopped working. Took it to Best Buy and was told I had to contact the manufacturer which I don't want to be shipping or returning anything. So I bought a new mouse.

    No matter how many times I try, I can't get it to connect. Also did not come with a usb connector that I'm see all over the internet.

    Don’t buy this one!!! I bought one to help set up my home office & as soon as I attempted to use it, the keys stuck & the mouse lagged. I figured “okay this one’s just defected so I’ll just exchange it for another one.” My experience with trying to exchange the purchase was not great but I understand that this pandemic is stressing most humans out. The new keyboard I got was working great for a little bit. Today is my first day using it again after about a month. Just like the previous keyboard & mouse combo, the keys kept sticking & the mouse was lagging. Don’t waste your money on this one!

    The best buy website says this is a back-lit keyboard, which is not true! For just a few bucks more than this bundle price, you can get a much better feeling keyboard with back-lit keys, such as a gaming keyboard.

    Think about an Upgrade before Buying this Keyboard

    Returned for major upgrade to Logitech - K800. The MK540 did not fit may needs for the following; low dim lighted room at times, loud keyboard and clunky, and the mouse it came with was economically cheap.
