    Bought this on an early black friday sale. It was the more expensive of the two I was considering, which I expected would mean it was better. That was apparently wrong. I would never have bought this if I'd been able to touch it first, and I'm planning on returning it at my earliest convenience. Both the keys on the keyboard and the roller button on the mouse are extremely stiff. They feel like buttons that have spent years getting clogged with dust and grime. (They don't 'click' at all either, if that's something you're into.)

    Simple to connect- love one dongle for keyboard and mouse. I hate the built in wrist rest- takes up too much valuable desk real estate and I already have a gel rest/ so this puts the keys a couple inches further away. Terrible design and I see why they are offering it for 1/2 off- to get rid of them!

      Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the built-in palm rest on the MK540 you recently acquired. Best Buy does have it's 14-day return policy if you're still unsatisfied and Logitech does provide other MK combos to choose from. Thank you for your feedback.

    This keyboard came with my new Inspiron 2in1 pc. Worked fine for a couple of weeks. Suddenly stopped working. The mouse and keyboard work via 1 usb port. The mouse works fine. Disappointed. Had to buy another keyboard. Am contacting Dell

    The keyboard was on sale when I bought it. I like that it has several shortcut keys and commands, but the keyboard feels cheap and the mouse kept disconnecting. I dont think this is very good for what you pay for. One good thing about it is that it has one USB for both, so it only takes up one usb port on my computer.

    Works great with my surface laptop. I can use both with one USB connection (only have one port). And no mouse lag with my last wireless mouse.

    Mouse stopped working after about seven months of use so I had to switch to a wired mouse. Tried wiping the optics with ethanol but didn’t help. Tried changing batteries and didn’t help either. Not sure what is wrong. Two stars cuz at least the keyboard is still working.

    There is something not quite right with this design. Can't type fast without messing up and needing to retype. Very time consuming. Logitech is a good brand, but this keyboard lacks something that I can't describe. You need to type slow for it to keep up.

    does not stay connected. Have changed batteries twice and the keyboard will fail me each time. Need to return, throw away or something. Not worth the price. I have to provide some pressure to the keyboard just to get it to work. long and slow response.

      Thank you for your feedback. Sorry you are having issues with your keyboard. Here are possible solutions:
      The connection between the keyboard and the USB receiver can be lost for several reasons, including:
      • Low battery charge
      • Moving the USB receiver from one USB port to another
      • Moving the USB receiver to another computer
      • Plugging the USB receiver into a USB hub, KVM switch or other unsupported device. (NOTE: Your USB receiver must be plugged directly into your computer.)
      • Using your wireless keyboard on metal surfaces
      • Radio frequency (RF) interference from other sources
      If your keyboard is not working, the problem is likely to be a lost connection. The connection between the keyboard and the USB receiver can be lost for several reasons. Make sure you have fresh batteries in your keyboard. Make sure your keyboard is turned on. Make sure the USB receiver is securely plugged directly into a working USB port on your computer. Turn your computer on download the correct version of Logitech SetPoint Mouse and Keyboard Software.

    Freezes all of the time

    This keyboard and mouse freeze up all of the time and it drives me nuts. I have changed the batteries twice after barely 2 months of purchase and I have also checked the receiver and USB port multiple times. It has actually become more a product of inefficiency than making my office time more productive.

    The keyboard is good, but the mouse failed to work after less than 4 month, it is not the battery issue. I have to take out the battery then put it back. If lucky, it works ok but it doesn't last long I have to repeat the same step a few times a day. very annoying.
