    This is a nice keyboard, but oddly enough, at least for me, the keys seem to be a little "too" quiet. I realize this isn't really a negative, but I prefer my keys to make a little sound as I'm typing, and this one is fairly quiet... almost silent, even.

    Bought one for work and loved it so much, needed one for home. To my surprise the one that I recently ordered was in gray and the mouse was cooler and more comfortable. Highly recommended!

    The keyboard does not connect with computer right away. Then when it connects and you leave for awhile it takes another 2-5 minutes to connect again. It’s the pits.

      Hello there, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having issues with your MK540 keyboard and mouse combo. It certainly sounds like you're having some connectivity issues, so I would recommend making sure the USB is fully inserted into the computer, and possibly think about swapping the receiver to a different port, possibly one closer to the devices or with less obstructions, as that could be causing the disconnections.

    No matter how many times I try, I can't get it to connect. Also did not come with a usb connector that I'm see all over the internet.

    Logitech wirless keyboard and mouse

    Bought this last month. This package was OK until today; the mouse stopped working. Took it to Best Buy and was told I had to contact the manufacturer which I don't want to be shipping or returning anything. So I bought a new mouse.

    Don’t buy this one!!! I bought one to help set up my home office & as soon as I attempted to use it, the keys stuck & the mouse lagged. I figured “okay this one’s just defected so I’ll just exchange it for another one.” My experience with trying to exchange the purchase was not great but I understand that this pandemic is stressing most humans out. The new keyboard I got was working great for a little bit. Today is my first day using it again after about a month. Just like the previous keyboard & mouse combo, the keys kept sticking & the mouse was lagging. Don’t waste your money on this one!

    The best buy website says this is a back-lit keyboard, which is not true! For just a few bucks more than this bundle price, you can get a much better feeling keyboard with back-lit keys, such as a gaming keyboard.

    I purchased the wireless keyboard and mouse and have had issues since day one. The mouse either doesn’t connect or when it is connected lags significantly. I have followed all of Logitechs suggested fixes including reinstalling the firmware, nothing works. I believe that there is something fundamentally wrong with this product. I suggest seeking another option if you’re looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse that actually works.

    Don't buy, Logitech's quality has gone down over the years and I am now waiting on my 2nd warranty replacement from them in less than 90 days. Have followed all precautionary and needed instructions, yet 2 keyboards now have frozen up on multiple times requiring me to pull batteries and repair them, to hopefully get it to be able to work, even just for a couple of hours. Very unhappy with purchase and wish I could just get money back at this point. This is probably the worst keyboard I have ever owned.

      I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your MK540 connection. This sounds like a USB driver connectivity issue. I would suggest trying to reinstall the USB port driver on your computer. You can do this in Device Manager in your Windows OS following this instruction:
      In the search box on the taskbar, enter "device manager," then select Device Manager.
      Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device and select Uninstall.
      Restart your PC.

    Returned for major upgrade to Logitech - K800. The MK540 did not fit may needs for the following; low dim lighted room at times, loud keyboard and clunky, and the mouse it came with was economically cheap.

    Ok, Chromebook Issues

    The keyboard is OK. The box said that it was Chromebook compatible. But the volume control buttons on the keyboard do not control the volume. I’ve had other logitech keyboards that were able to control the volume. So I was very disappointed.

    The keyboard is fine, but the mouse is horrible. Every time you use the scroll wheel on the mouse, it sounds like you are dragging something across a surface. If you like smooth scrolling, this is NOT for you. The noise alone has prevented me from using my new desktop. I ordered a Microsoft wireless mouse to replace this one. Believe me, you do NOT want the mouse that comes in this package.

      Thank you for your feedback. Sorry you are having issues with your mouse. Here are possible solutions:
      If your mouse is not working, the problem is likely to be a lost connection. The connection between the mouse and Unifying USB receiver can be lost for several reasons. Make sure you have fresh batteries in your mouse and is turned on. Make sure the Unifying USB receiver is securely plugged directly into a working USB port on your computer. Turn your computer on. Finally, download the correct version of Logitech SetPoint mouse and keyboard software. If you need further assistance, please contact Logitech support on the website.

    This should all be plug and play, but it ain't. Had trouble after install yesterday but finally got it working after reinstalling drivers and options. Today it's not working again. I checked the Logitech boards, and someone reported this problem 8 months ago - no one responded to his request for help. This is the first time I've had a Logitech product fail.

    Doesn't stay connected to Wi-Fi

    The keyboard doesn't stay firmly connected to the Wi-Fi and many times you have to wait for it to respond to input and commands like "Backspace", etc. Can be frustrating to operate. Pros: Do like the soft touch of he keyboard

    while i believe this works ok for some, i have other computers with wireless devices. apparently the frequency of these devices interfers with the proper operation of these wireless devices.

      Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the MK540 combo. I'm sorry to hear that it is causing interference with other devices you have. This uses the 2.4GHz frequency band and while it is highly unlikely that frequencies are crossing, occasionally it can happen. Please download Logitech Options and try to pair both the mouse and keyboard to the Unifying receiver again.     First wireless keyboard and mouse, works well and I can’t detect any lag (though I’m not playing any games). Uses a single usb dongle you plug into your pc and it just works.
