It is an alright keyboard. I like how the keys feel, and I like the Bluetooth on it. What I don't like about it is how it doesn't come with a USB extender type thing so I can have the dongle closer to my keyboard, and I wish that the feet would be a lot stronger because after a few days of use one of the extendable feet had a piece snap off and one side is holding it in. I will most likely glue it in, but it is still annoying.

Using Bluetooth: 1 star Using 2 Unifying receivers (no BT): 5 stars (even though I miss having an ergo keyboard layout). I often work from home, and was looking for a keyboard/mouse combo that could be shared (and switched frequently) between 2 laptops running Windows. Both of my laptops, both monitors, the keyboard and mouse are within a few feet of each other. So, the close proximity may be causing some of my problems. But, it also seems like a typical setup for someone that works from home. (minor) Problem #1: I'm used to using Microsoft Ergo 4000 Keyboard, and really miss that layout, and key spacing. Problem #2: Originally, I set up one laptop with the included Unifying receiver, and the other laptop with Bluetooth. That setup was terrible because the BT connections frequently got dropped. At one point, I switched which laptop was using BT connections to see if that would resolve the problem, but I had the same frequent drops. The good news...my old mouse was a Logitech M705, and I was able to connect using that Unifying receiver instead of Bluetooth (after following directions found in a Logitech forum, including installing Logitech Unifying Software).

Its a nice keyboard overall. I own several different logitech models. This one uses regular batteries. I am curious to see how long they last. How the keys feel to the touch is subjective. For myself, I like a soft touch with s shallow key depression. This keyboard has a soft touch but a deeper plunge for the keys.

Love the Bluetooth switch between pcs, the noise is super duper sensitive though my only issue it’s almost as if the wheel is broken.

Soft, Inconsistent Keyboard and Good Mouse

The keys on the keyboard are my biggest gripe against this set other than the devices not being black similar to the display on the website. Most of the keys have great response but some of the keys (backspace and space bar in particular) have too sluggish or a quicker/noisier response. It is mildly irritating. I'm hoping to trade the kit in for a replacement, and I'll edit this review accordingly.

I got the used version of the keyboard and mouse. It works fine. But the 'I' button on the keyboard is tighter than the rest and I often miss "I" when I type, which I need to fix again and again. A bit annoying. I hope it will get better with time. The mouse is great tbh. I can move the cursor to 3 different display with a click - a great feature. The hand rest is also a good addition to the keyboard. But the keyboard is a bit bulky for my average size study desk.

    Not worth the trouble

I've owned this combo set for 5ish years and half that time it's been on a shelf. The firmware issues are terrible, but hopefully they've been fixed as I'm using the MK850 currently. I bought this set on a very steep sale but I can't recommend it at full price unless you're tech savvy enough to troubleshoot the problems yourself because Logitech customer service is worthless. When it works the MK850 set is comfortable and high quality. However another big gripe is the extremely short range. This set only works reliably if you are sitting at a desktop with the dongle right next to you. Across a small room? No way. Kind of defeats the purpose of wireless peripherals.

    Connectivity

Utter garbage - massive Bluetooth issues.

Like many of the other reviewers here I have been a loyal Logitech customer for many years... probably 15 in fact. When I saw this keyboard and mouse combo I was impressed. I needed something to easily switch between machines. Sadly, this keyboard and mouse and complete utter garbage. Out of the box, the unifying the connector worked immediately. But pairing to Bluetooth to two different Windows 10 machines was next to impossible. The first computer (a Dell Lattitude E5570 running Windows 10) took several attempts to get it to pair. It would find both the keyboard and mouse easily enough and would ask you to type a code into the keyboard to pair. And then it would pair. But then the light would go to a slow steady blink, which according to support means it is reconnecting. Out of about the 30-times I pressed the button to activate it, it would do the slow steady blink 29 of those 30 times. Only 1 time did the light go solid and I was able to use the keyboard over Bluetooth. For the second custom built gaming rig, I have an Intel Bluetooth card (that is about as vanilla and compatible as you can get with Bluetooth). It would always detect the mouse and keyboard and when you tried to pair it would report as connecting and then always fail and say to "try again". After messing with this thing for 1 hour I put it back in the box and sent it back. I wish I would have taken heed of all the other negative reviews that have mentioned massive connectivity issues with the Bluetooth. The keyboard and mouse were nice to use over the standard USB unifying connector. Just a shame the Bluetooth feature of this keyboard (its main selling point) is absolutely worthless.

Great thought, horrible execution - key spacing

First, keyboardists ... that is those who can touch type 95% of their keys, will probably find this keyboard as I did .. frustrating. The good? Logitech did the full inverted T for the cursors, and gave room above that for the standard 6 key horizontal layout of del/ins, home/end, and pgup / pgdwn. Where they failed however, is in key to key spacing across the keyboard. Its like typing on an uncomfortable laptop keyboard, where everything is jammed tightly and causes your WPM to drop because you have to keep going back to correct what you've typed for having miss-typed or inadvertently hit caps lock vs shift or tab as you intended. Because the keyboard was designed to be universal (mac is like what .. 5% or LESS of the market) between PC & MAC it includes the CMD key, a FN key (stupidly on both sides with one smaller on the left and one biggin' on the right) and this makes it *NOT* the keyboard you want it to be. Love the idea of getting 3 dongles to cycle not only my mouse and my keyboard to 3 machines (desktop & 2 laptops) via dongle or bluetooth ... but the keyboard is so uncomfortable to type on for someone that's been using computer keyboards for the better part of 30 years and before using selectric typewriters ... I'm constantly frustrated by such products that take one great step forward, but then perform a complete design stupidity by not just biting the bullet and making two different keyboards. The function key is really not needed at all .. how many people have really looked at their F keys and gotten to know how each keyboard maps different functions there, just like keyboards with dedicated volume and back/home keys for browsers. Its the design to placate idiots that really should just do, verses fit form and functionality. And if it really needed to include one, then having a smaller one on the right side only .. would have been the way to go .. but no... design idiots at Logitech just had to try to be ambidextrous and screw the lot of us. Sadly, though I'd really love to have a keyboard that does 3 PC's or 3 Mac's or combination of the like, this will not work for how tight the alphabetic keys are, and forcing people to type on a smaller than standard size layout. If you're serious about your typing skill and speed, this will *not* be the keyboard for you.
