MK850 Keyboard and Mouse

Mouse doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both the mouse and the keyboard are kind of klunky. The keyboard in particular has very long throws -- the keys need to be pushed deeply before they register. Also on the keyboard, you cannot remove the thick hand rest. Worst of all, the mouse has quit entirely after 2 days. It synced properly the first time, but then after about a day, it wouldn't respond. The computer said it was still attached, but it didn't work. When I un-attached it (bluetooth) and re-attached it, it worked again for about a day. Now it has quit and cannot join my computer via bluetooth at all.

Frustrating
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard doesn't work when you start up the laptop right away. Sometimes you have to remove it as a device and then reconnect it which may or may not catch on the first try. Sometimes you have to give it a few minutes and it will start working. When working properly it is pretty awesome although there is no print screen button in the keyboard. Not sure what's wrong with it and I will probably just throw it out and get another one.

Posted .Hello customer, I'm sorry to hear you're having some connectivity issues with your MK850. If you're connecting the device via bluetooth, that issue can unfortunately sometimes arise. I would recommend connecting to the device via the Unifying Receiver instead.

DO NOT BUY FOR MAC.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY FOR MAC. They say it is compatible but it is not. Logitech claims that if you use FileVault turned on it doesn't work at login screen. Tried turning it off and it still doesn't work. They are lying about this - it has to be a problem with their driver as my Logitech Keys to Go works perfectly at login screen with Bluetooth and FileVault. They are suggesting to use the Unifying receiver but I can't get that to work at all. It won't get past the turn device off then back on screen.

Posted .Hi Kenny, I'm sorry that there was a problem with the use of the MK850 with a Mac product. Please understand that when new operating systems are released it can take time for firmware and driver updates to be created to meet the new security requirements within the new operating system. I'm sorry that the given steps to bypass the log in issue did not resolve the issue. You may need to reprogram the Unifying receiver using Logitech free Unifying Software that can be downloaded at support.logi.com. You can follow the on screen prompts to pair. With the MK850 please note that when pairing to any device or receiver that the 1-2-3 bank needs to be flashing rapidly. To activate the rapid flash press and hold the button. This rapid flash indicates that it is in "find/search" mode and can be paired to the Unifying Receiver. Thanks for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

Feels weird to type.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the overall feel but typing on this keyboard feels like I’m typing on a keyboard with fresh glue on the bottom. Your typing still gets through no problem but it feels off.

Refuses to stay synchronized to the computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When this keyboard is working I love it. Periodically it looses synchronization with the computer, usually at a time when you need it the most.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Logitech
Posted .Hi jimc, Very sorry to hear about the synchronization issues you're having with the MK850. This is likely due to a poor connection with the Unifying Receiver and your devices. Much of it could be dependent on where you have the Unifying Receiver plugged in to your desktop. If you have it placed in the back of your tower or if your tower is underneath your desk, that could be causing interference. If your desktop tower is on your desk, then place the Unifying Receiver into a front facing port. If that isn't possible, use the enclosed USB extender that came with the MK850 to place the receiver into. The latter suggestion is also if you have the tower placed underneath your desk. If the problems still persist, try these suggestions: keep other electrical devices at least 8 inches away from the keyboard, move the keyboard closer to the computer, or un-pair and re-pair your device to the keyboard. For more troubleshooting tips, you can visit Logitech's product support website for a live chat with a technician. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. WORST WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is overall the worst keyboard and mouse combo ever! Its always lagging behind and locks up constantly. NEVER BUY THIS ONE!
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Logitech
Posted .Hi Kevin, So sorry to hear about the issues you're having with lag with the MK850 Wireless Keyboard and Optical Mouse. This is most likely due to interference between the Unifying Receiver and the devices, assuming that you're connected via the USB Unifying Receiver. If you have the receiver plugged in the back of your desktop tower, that's not an optimal spot and will easily be interferred with. Move it to a front facing USB port if possible and if that isn't possible, use a USB extender cord. The great thing with this combo is that both the keyboard and mouse can be paired via Bluetooth. Here's a link to how to set that up  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023300114-Getting-Started-MK850. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

Annoying issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this and probably should have returned it. Bluetooth wouldn't connect after going into sleep mode so that's completely useless. Use usb dongle and sometimes the keyboard doesn't respond, although I told usb not to go into power saving so that seems to be better. Mouse will cause random "scrolling" and totally rearrange icons in Outlook. Will see how long I can stand working with this before I throw in the towel and say "I wasted $80 on a crap combo."

Posted .Hi! Sorry to see you're having connectivity issues with your MK850 combo! You can try to reconnect the devices to the receiver with the Unifying Software tool. But if you have any questions, check out the Logitech support page at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023300114. Continue to enjoy!

Posted .Hello, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the switching between computers while using your MK850. Here are a couple of steps you can follow to solve the issue:
1. Check that both systems are connected to the internet:
On each computer, open a web browser and check the internet connection by navigating to a webpage.
