    Bad luck with higher end mice from Logitech

    This is my second higher end mouse from Logitech. The first one was a VX Nano Cordless Laser mouse, which was great while it lasted, but then died after about 6 months. So, after many years of just using cheaper Logitech mice, which have worked fine, I decided to try another higher end laser mouse, the MX Anywhere 2S. I loved how it could track on glass and other smooth surfaces that other mice could not track on. I also loved that it has no batteries to replace, you just connect it to a micro usb cable and recharge it. But then after about 5 months of use, the mouse scrolling direction went haywire, scrolling down would cause the pointer to go up and scrolling up would cause the pointer to go down. I tried using the Logitech options software to change the scroll wheel direction, which works ok for only minutes, but then up is down and down is up again. I also tried disabling the smooth scrolling as suggested by some of the troubleshooting info I found online, and that did not work either. I got so frustrated with it that I just put it in a spare briefcase and bought a Logitech M720, which has been great. Recently I found my Mx Anywhere 2S in my spare briefcase and decided to see if I could find my receipt for it. Turns out I had purchased it online at Best Buy. So, I went to the Logitech support website, registered my MX Anywhere 2S, uploaded my Best Buy online receipt, and contacted Logitech for a warranty claim. Initially when I contacted them 2 weeks ago, I was told that my replacement had been "processed". Then, I received an email from Logitech today saying that "The replacement request was rejected due to incomplete information and incomplete troubleshooting steps" and that my case was still open. I called today and did further trouble shooting with Logitech support and was then asked for my receipt (which I had already uploaded to my Logitech support account when I registered the mouse). When I told the Logitech representative that I had already uploaded my receipt, he questioned the validity of my Best Buy online receipt. He said he could not see on the receipt where it said Best Buy and I told him to look at the top left where it says, "Best Buy Order Details" and to the top right where you can see the Best Buy web address. He would not accept the validity of that receipt. I told him that when I went into my Best Buy online account and looked up my purchase, that is the only receipt that I can print. He said he would have to call Best Buy to verify my receipt. So, after putting me on hold several times, he comes back and asks me to verify my shipping address so he can send me a replacement. When asked about his receipt verification with Best Buy, he said he tried several calls that were disconnected when he attempted telephone verification with Best Buy. So finally, after 45 minutes on the phone, he says he got the replacement "approved by the back office". So now I am supposed to get a replacement within a couple of weeks. I am hoping my second time around with the MX Anywhere 2S is better than the first.

    Little disappointed in that every week or so the Bluetooth just goes away ..??? Have to reinstall. Used to count on Logitech ... but now, I dunno?

    Laptop arrived and we had to wait a couple weeks to get it set up by IT dept since this was a business purchase... which put us past return date. Your return policy is terrible for such large ticket items. Long story short, the laptop is defective and now we have to work with DELL. This was second experience with Best Buy where a laptop purchased online was defective.
