Logitech has been in the accessories game for a long time, and their MX line of products are some of the best in the business. I have more than a few Logitech accessories at home and work and have had great luck with all of them. The MX Anywhere 3S is the latest travel-size MX product, with this version being aimed specifically at Apple users. Both colorways compliment Apple’s latest Macs, and the svelte shape makes it ideal for taking on the go. With a bluetooth connection and USB-C charging the MX Anywhere 3S comes with the latest and greatest. The mouse is packaged in a small box and I was pleased to find next-to-no plastic packaging. Logitech advertises 60% or more recycled materials in the mouse so I was happy to see they extended their sustainability to the packaging as well. The MX Anywhere 3S comes with just a USB-C charging cable in the box, as it’s designed to connect to your Mac via Bluetooth Low Energy. I was happy to see the included cable is USB-C on both ends which makes it more useful now that nearly all devices use this standard connector. Setup was dead-simple: I simply powered the mouse on and it immediately went into pairing mode, after which I selected it from my MacBook Pro’s Bluetooth devices list and it paired instantly. I haven’t had any trouble with the connection since initially pairing it. The mouse about 60% charged and I’ve hardly used any battery over a few days of average use. If you’ve used any of Logitech’s recent products the design of the MX Anywhere 3S should feel very familiar. It’s a mix of hard and soft touch plastic in a modern, attractive design. It fits right in with my other MX-series accessories in terms of appearance and quality. The biggest difference, of course, is that the MX Anywhere is quite a bit smaller than my daily-driver MX 3S mouse. It’s a cute little pebble shape — emphasis on the little. I’m glad to see Logitech still managed to include two side buttons and their excellent MagSpeed scroll wheel despite the diminutive size. Installing Logitech’s Logi Options+ app unlocks the full power of this mouse, allowing you to customize your entire user experience. In addition to the typical scrolling speed and forward/back commands you can assign different commands to the mouse buttons based on the application you’re using. This is really useful for folks who like to integrate as many shortcuts as they can into their workflow, and Logi Options+ supports all the popular productivity apps (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Chrome and more). The app will set up suggested defaults if you allow it, all of which you can change or disable to your liking. I mostly left the settings as they came, with minor adjustments to the scroll wheel behavior. One of the best things about MX-series mice is Logitech’s MagScroll wheel. It has wonderful weight and precision and feels downright luxurious to use. A press of the button immediately behind the scroll wheel changes from ratcheting to smooth scrolling, both of which have their uses. Once you get used to a MagScroll wheel it’s hard to go back to a more basic setup. The same goes for the MX “S” devices, which feature nearly-silent clicks. You still get a nice, tactile click from the left and right mouse buttons, but you hear only a muted click, hardly audible more than a few feet from the mouse. This makes for a delightfully quiet work environment and while perhaps not strictly necessary it, like the MagScroll wheel, makes regular mice feel like a noticeable step down in quality. The MX Anywhere 3S for Mac is a great compact mouse, but as a small, travel-friendly accessory it’s nowhere near as comfortable to use as a full-sized, ergonomic mouse, especially for someone with larger hands like myself. Compared to my standard MX 3S it’s no contest in the comfort department. That being said, this mouse is definitely designed for travel, so I can forgive the comfort sacrifices necessary to make a packable device. Just be cognizant that this isn’t the best all day, every day mouse; it’s made for those one the go who can’t cram a full-sized mouse into their bag every time they leave the house. Size concerns aside I’m really happy with the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S. It’s well-designed, well made and intuitive to use, and feels right at home alongside my other MX-series accessories. Yes, it comes at a higher price point, but it really puts most standard and travel mice to shame (again, the MagScroll wheel is really hard to beat). While it won’t replace a full-size ergo mouse for daily use this will make an excellent travel companion when I’m on the go.

It's very rare for me to give something a 5/5 but the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S Mac Wireless Mouse is simply the BEST mouse for your Mac. This is the mouse to buy. Full stop. End of story. But as for why, I'm going to do my best to explain why you should only buy the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S. -= In the Box =- In the box is the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S and a USB C charging cable. There's no dongle, because the mouse connects to your Mac via Bluetooth - so no dongle needed. -= First Impressions =- The mouse is more an off-white than a bright white (Logitech call it pale grey, which is fair), with silver accents. Aside from the left/right mouse buttons, there's a scroll wheel, two extra buttons on the left, and a button below the scroll wheel. There's a USB C port for charging (yay) and on the bottom of the mouse is an on/off switch and a button for switching between devices. The mouse has a good weight, and feels premium. I also happen to own the Logitech MX Mini Mechanical Keyboard for Mac and the MX Mouse looks at home with the keyboard (a perfect pair)! -= Setup =- Setup is easy. Hold down the pairing button on the bottom of the mouse until the LED blinks rapidly, go into Bluetooth settings on your Mac, and pair. Done. You can optionally install Logi Options, which is Logitech software that lets you customize buttons and has app-specific profiles. The software isn't necessary for setup or use. -= What's Good =- Everything. I love that I can pair the MX Anywhere 3S to my Mac and iPad. The metallic scroll wheel can be set to spin free or step spin with a tap of a button (no software needed)! It just feels perfect in my hand when using, the buttons have a nice click but not a loud mechnical click (so great in an office). After a few days of use the battery has barely even dropped - I think I will get a month out of the battery. The fact that you can charge it WHILE using it is great and makes it 100x better than Apple's mouse. It blows my mind, but the MX works on any surface - even my glass dining table. Wow! You can even do some cool tricks, like horizontal scrolling with the scroll wheel while holding a side button. Switching between devices is fast, press the button underneath and pairing is instantaneous - I switch between my Mac and iPad with ease. -= What's Not So Good =- It's hard to pick something not so good - there's no carry case. Not a deal breaker, but if you're throwing this in your bag maybe that is something you may want. But this is me searching for something, anything to say that's not good. I think the button to switch between devices being under the mouse is smart - so really it's just perfect. -= Final Thoughts =- I rarely if ever (read never) give something 5/5 but the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S for Mac is absolutely perfect. If you own a Mac, an iPad and want one mouse to rule them all, this is the mouse for you. PS. You can even use the MX Anywhere 3S for Mac on a PC. It's all Bluetooth connectivity. So I added my work laptop as a 3rd device, so when I work from home I don't need to bring my work mouse home.

This is a very nice mouse to use with my late 2017 MacBook Pro. I like the smaller, sleek design and the buttons feel very nice. One thing I'll have to get used to is how silent the mouse buttons are compared to other mice I've used. You can feel the click happen but can barely hear it. I like this feature a lot and it is nice. Connecting it via BlueTooth was very simple and I also downloaded the LogiTech Options+ software so that I can change mouse controls if needed. What is awesome about this mouse is that you can pair it to three separate devices and press a button on the bottom of it to switch between those devices. I did not have another Mac or iPad to test this out with, but I did make an attempt at my 2017 Windows 10 laptop. I was also able to use it there, because it's obviously BlueTooth but the switching button to go from Mac to Windows did not work. I know that this mouse says "for Mac," but I figured why not try this out if you have two separate computers with different operating systems. Overall, this is a very nice mouse and I'll definitely be using it with my Mac when needed. Since you can still pair it with Windows, there's always that option for use as well.

So I got this to replace my current logitech mouse, the bigger version. I'm happy to report, it's good to go. It's very small when compared, and I was a little worried about that. However, after a short time of use...this little guy is great. The sound is much lower when clicking the buttons, something I was shocked about. The scroll wheel feels the same as my older model, but it's just more compact in size. The button layout is the same, again...just smaller in size. It does however shape different, as it's for traveling. It's so nice and compact, that it will fit in to any bag or briefcase with your laptop or computer. I like that it does come in a different color or two, so that I can match it with my keyboard and system in my office. It charged fairly quick, and I seems to hold a charge well. I'll have to wait a little longer over time though, as my older model lasted for at least a month. This one should as well, if not longer I'm hoping. Overall, the price is decent, and should be in the reach of most people.

This review is for the Logitech MXAnywhere 3S mouse (Mac version). My TL/DR review: Highly accurate and dead silent mouse with lots of options if you want to mess around with additional software. Long review: So far, I’ve really, really enjoyed this Logitech Anywhere 3S mouse. Here are some things that stand out for me. 1) Super accurate. I have yet to find a surface that the mouse doesn’t work well on. Cloth, mousepads, furniture…it works all the same. And not just that, but it’s the most accurate mouse I’ve ever used. You can learn and feel the ease of movement the mouse exhibits. This is the biggest difference between an expensive mouse and a cheap mouse, trust me. 2) Silent clicks. I never realized how loud my previous mouse was until I ordered this near-silent mouse. Instead of ‘clik clik’ sounds, the Anywhere 3S mouse produces a lower-toned ‘thud thud’ sound that you can barely hear from arm’s length away. 3) Optional software adds functions. You can download the Logitech Options app for Mac OS and it unlocks all sorts of button combinations, scrolling behaviors and more. I use it create easy ways of right/left scrolling, for example. 4) Works great as a regular mouse on iPadOS. I even saved my iPad as a mouse preset (which the mouse has three of). Just tap the small button on the bottom of the mouse and you’ll be reconnected to your second (or third) device in a second or two. No more having to navigate the Bluetooth menus when you want to use the mouse with another device. So nice! 5) Works equally as well on Windows 11 as it does on MacOS. To be honest, I’m not sure what the differences are between the Mac and the non-Mac versions of the Anywhere 3S are. But I’m happy it works so well on all my devices. There are a few things that I’m not as fond of (though I don’t feel strongly enough to deduct stars for): 1) I really miss my previous mouse’s ability to horizontally scroll using the scroll wheel. I often use split-screen mode on my 13” Macbook and 14” Windows laptops, when means horizontal scrolling is something I do a lot of. And while I can use and create shortcuts in the Options software, I still miss the ease of scroll wheel horizontal scrolling. I realize I may be a select minority here, so I can cut Logitech some slack on this. 2) Just a personal preference, but I would have preferred different color options for the mouse. When I ordered, all that was available for Mac was a soft matte white color. Don’t get me wrong, it’s attractive and the silver accents make it look sleek and futuristic. But, in my house, white things don’t stay white for very long. Dirt, dog drool, etc. tend to make whites look dingy pretty quickly. Again, this is purely my select preference, so again…no point deduction. Overall, I would have no qualms whatsoever recommending this mouse. Definitely for Mac users who want another option than the Magic Mouse, and even for iPad users and Windows users. It’s just a really good, really quiet mouse. And that’s all most people really need. 5-stars!

I dont have much to complain about with the entire Logi MX series of peripherals. The MX Anywhere is now available in a "3S" series - This is my FOURTH MX Anywhere mouse, and my first in the "Just for Mac" edition. I've been using the MX stuff from Logitech since the original MX Master and MX Keys, as well as having had 3 previous MX Anywhere mice (MX Anywhere, MX Anywhere 2, MX Anywhere 3, and now THIS beauty!) - They are unstoppable. They hold up better than any of the competition and have superior ergonomics and accuracy on screen. This new version states that it's the "for Mac" edition, but its just a regular MX Anywhere 3S without the included BOLT USB receiver (that wouldn't work in a Type-C native ecosystem like Apple's anyway). The device pairs to up to 3 Bluetooth devices, and works perfectly with my MacBook Pro, iPad Pro M4, and my Dell laptop (see, spoiled it for you - This is the SAME MX Anywhere 3S you get in the box in the not "for Mac" edition, but that one doesn't come in white!). Tracking is perfect, the heft in your hand is perfect, and the Type-C charging is great to have (its table stakes really - USB C is the new USB - For everything!) and the curvature of even this small travel version feels great in the hand (Only Logi has mastered this - Good fit, and still fits in your bag perfectly). And with NO real alternative from Apple, this thing really is the standard. I wouldnt just reccomend this to a friend, I constantly DO recommend these to friends - All of the time!

I have been using the Logitech MX Master 3S for quite some time, on my desktop and laptop computer. I have absolutely loved it, but it is also a full size mouse and not super portable which sometimes results in me not using a mouse at all on my laptop when I am traveling, or out and about for the day. I am so happy to have the MX Anywhere 3S now to fill that void! It syncs up seamlessly with my MacBook Pro every time I want to use it, and is so much better than having to use a touchpad. I love that I can also have it synced up to my work laptop and easily switch back and forth between devices with just the push of a button! My favorite feature of the MX Anywhere 3S is the same feature that makes the MX Master 3S my favorite full size mouse, silent clicking! I have always been annoyed by the loud click click click of traditional mice! The near silent operation on this mouse is a fantastic upgrade, and makes working in the office a breeze without bothering everyone around me as I am a loud typer and clicker! The battery life is amazing as well, and the fit and finish is definitely premium. Once you use one of the 3S mice with the quiet clicks, you will never go back!

Overall good functional mouse that works well with my Apple products. Easily paired to my Mac air and also iPad. Little strange using the mouse with the iPad, but it does work. Pairing is the easy part. And had no issues with that. Pretty cool that you can switch between different Apple products with a flick of a switch on the bottom of the device. Tracking and smoothness of the cursor is nice and works well. The online application is useful to change parameter settings with the mouse and have a do different things with different programs I find pretty cool and useful. I am having issues pairing the extra buttons to other functions but so far it does look like it can work. It may take a little bit of tweaking. I think for the price it’s very nice and a good competitor with apples own mouse. I think I like the feel of it and use of it better than the other Apple mouse and I would prefer it over that. Overall, good product that runs really smoothly and A great feature to be able to switch between different products. I haven’t use the add-on application features that you can do with this mouse, but I think they are great addition as well.

Like the bigger mouse. Helps if you have hand problems.
