Good for multiple devices!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from a Magic keyboard 2 and I have watched plenty of reviews and did plenty of research before buying this keyboard. All of the reviews said that this device was great build quality and felt great because of the substantial weight. I agree, it is pretty heavy. But, this thing is flimsy. My desk is of a farmhouse design and it's not exactly all the way flat. This keyboard dips and sags with very little pressure. I really wasn't expecting that given the price point. I know it's not the most expensive keyboard, but the quality just isn't great for the price point. It feels cheep. Switching in between devices is a breeze and the typing experience is pretty good, I prefer the apple keyboard.

Very nice keyboard, sometimes hard to connect

Though it's made of plastic, it has significant weight to it. My main complaint is I it hasn't been totally reliable in connecting to my Mac. I don't want to use their unifying receiver, and don't think I should have to since it's made to work with Macs. I like the idea of being able to use it with 3 devices, but that hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be. They key travel is more than the Apple keyboard if that matters to you, but I can easily touch type on either. I'd take a hard look at the Apple keyboard if I were to need to replace this one even though it costs more primarily because this one doesn't always connect.

Bluetooth Keeps Losing Connection

I have several Logitech keyboards and I love all of them. This is, in fact, the third of the MX keyboards I have purchase. Unfortunately all are plagued by a problem with the Bluetooth randomly losing connection. I write code for a living and sitting at this keyboard, 12-13 hours a day is a must. The configuration is perfect. The keys are perfect. The backlighting is awesome. The feel is great. But the Bluetooth is horrible. Typing away and suddenly, the connection is gone. You're tapping keys on the keyboard, shaking the mouse and finally, after 3-4 minutes it reconnects. Totally disrupts your workflow If you have the MX mouse (love it too), it will randomly be disconnected as well but ONLY if you have the MX keyboard paired using Bluetooth. This is most definitely a driver issue as the dongle has no problem. I have tested this on the multiple Macs I have connected to it via Bluetooth and all exhibit the same issue. I love this keyboard. I want SO BAD for it to be perfect, but it just isn't there. If you're going to use this keyboard, use the dongle. You'll thank me.

The grooves fit the fingers well. I really like the fact the keyboard lights up as soon as it detects your hands hovering above it. However, when charging, it would be beneficial to know just how much charge you have left prior to reaching 100%. Not a showstopper, but would help. Overall, this is a very good keyboard with easy set up.
