Quick switching works like a charm

Other than that, the side scroller is also pretty handy.

Mainly in how the forward/backward buttons are now placed. The 3 had them one on top of the other which made browsing pages difficult when trying to go forward or backward. While the 3s placed it in a more intuitive position next to one another horizontally. The soft-click left and right buttons are a big bonus on the new design of the 3s. Everything else is top notch. Logitech interface and set up on the PC via Bluetooth is smooth as always.

I absolutely love it and even use this mouse at work aside from home now.

Also allows for some fun button customizations; ex: the launching of any arbitrary app from any button press makes it very powerful!
