It will start to spin freely if you want to scroll fast, and continue scrolling even after you stop the wheel. This makes it hard to use effectively, and often has unwanted side effects, e.g. in Windows Explorer, where I keep accidentally changing the view mode when I want to select items, due to the lagged scrolling.

Mushy clicking is not what an MX Master should be

Countless times I've recommended it to friends and colleagues. However, the 3S is NOT a good product if you like a responsive click to your mouse. It's mushy, unpleasant and unclear (sometimes) if you've actually clicked the buttons. If you don't care about that, then sure, go for it. But otherwise, avoid the 3S.

The silent clicks are a really cool touch, I wish more mice would implement this. When viewed strictly from a productivity stand point this guy is hard to beat. That being said, I feel as though the cursor movement pales in comparison to some of Logitech's other options. And while their "gamer" mice seem like a weird option for productivity, the G502 has even more buttons / customization when compared to the MX Master. All that, and with a much better optical sensor for cursor movement.

Great mouse for office work on any surface.

I don't use all the features, but for a larger hand, it fits perfectly. Works really well on any surface. Button on the top switches scroll wheel between a smooth glide and traditional wheel mouse feel. I use it for office work on a mac and I'm very happy with it!

It's smooth and seamless but the lag is substantial. Sometimes the rollers are counterintuitive, the logi software doesn't help. I expected a premium product, this was not it.

Connection is solid and fast (coming from usijg only gaming mice) but the issue is, the software slows the side scrolling down. Not sure why but when i delete the software the side scrolling returns to its smooth former self. With the software, side scrolling feels clunky and choppy. Such a bummer because you miss out on so many great perks of the software. Get the mouse, dont download the software.
