A Good Solid Mouse

Great mouse, but not properly supported

It's a feature that I now wish all mice had. The side-scrolling is also very useful when working with larger spreadsheets and content. The finish on this also means that it will require a lot of care because it easily gets dirty especially with high usage. The Bolt receiver is generally OK but leaves plenty of room for improvement. Searching online you see many issues with the reception, and I personally experienced it as well. Apparently, connecting to a slower USB 2.0 hubs is the solution. This is unacceptable for a modern mouse at this price point. What's worse is that their own software, Options+, claims to SUPPORT firmware upgrade for these mice, but doesn't actually work. This has been known for many years for other devices too, but Logitech hasn't fixed it. So, you are stuck with whatever factory firmware your device comes with. In my case, that means that there are fixes that I will likely never get. So, in summary, if the mouse works OK in your environment out of the box, then you are in luck. Otherwise, don't count on Logitech's support or any future fixes.

Mouse with programmable buttons

You plug it in and turn on the button on the bottom of the mouse. Thats pretty much it unless you decide to use bluetooth. Once u download the logi options app, you can program the buttons to be almost anything you want. I set 2 side buttons to have 1 for copy and 1 for paste

I don’t need all of the capabilities of the MX Master right now, but I’ve been getting into some creative apps & felt I could future proof my setup.
