The shape is oval and very smooth. The slightly odd thing is that it is lower in the front. That took a little getting used to but I don’t notice it anymore. It is extremely quiet. You can’t really hear any clicks or the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel has that clicky feeling, but makes no noise. I really like the fact that it can be used via Bluetooth with or without the adapter. I just turned the mouse on and then opened my computer device settings and looked for it. It installed quickly and I was up and running. I appreciate the fact that I didn’t need to use another USB port for this mouse. I have a wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse that came with it had issues. The right click button didn’t work anymore. This mouse has a power saving feature and goes to sleep. This is supposed to allow the battery to last up to 18 months. I don’t have a mouse pad and use it a granite countertop and it works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this mouse if you are looking for a wireless mouse.
