Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Performance Mouse MX's long battery life, comfortable ergonomics, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to work on various surfaces and its accurate tracking. While some find the price a bit high and the scroll wheel could be improved, the overall user experience is positive. The mouse's weight is also a point of contention for some users.

    Excellent Mouse

Really nice design for a mouse - fits great in my hand. Works better than my M705, but needs more recharging than I'm used to. Still, it's a worthwhile accessory and I'm certainly happy with it.

Perfectly designed mouse and great battery life

I wanted to write this review mainly to highlight the fact that the Performance MX battery life is excellent. I took it new out of the box exactly 2 weeks ago and it is still going strong. The battery indicator has said "low" on the "Setpoint" software that came with the mouse for roughly 1.5 weeks. But I have used this mouse on average 4 hours a day for 2 weeks and have not had to recharge it. I also downloaded the newest version of Setpoint software directly from the Logitech website. I also have the Logitech unifying receiver about 2 feet away from the mouse. I am sure this helps. The unifying receiver is located in a front USB port. Overall, this mouse suits my hand size perfectly and the additional buttons on this mouse are truly a must if you can afford it. The cheaper Logitech M705 has a similarly placed thumb button, but the look/feel and size of the M705 are no comparison. I am extremely satisfied with this product. With the M705, I had a gap between my palm and the mouse (very uncomfortable). With the MX, I feel like I actually have a mouse that fits my hand. Buy this mouse. Hopefully you are able to get a good price on it instead of the $100 list price. What I have done to maximize battery life. *unifying receiver within 25 inches *dowloaded newest Setpoint software

Great while it works, but doesn't last.

Fantastic Mouse, a little expensive, but it feels great and works great... until it breaks. Very hardcore gamer but I still expect at least two years from a mouse and this one only lasted one. The right mouse button begins to give out making it impossible to click and hold, cruicial to a lot of games. The rechargable battery is a step backward from rechargable cameras and cell phones, pretty much designed to die quickly. Contacts wear out on both the charging base and the mouse itself making it (along with the battery problems) incredibly hard to charge. Maybe I shouldnt complain, I did get hundreds and hundreds of hours of use out of this mouse, but honestly I would expect at least 1000 hours for 100 dollars. Wont buy again. p.s. Razors brand mice have the same problems, works great, breaks fast.

Almost better than the MX Revolution

I bought this mouse to work with a new laptop. I am also using the MX Revolution. The fit and weight is the about the same as the MX Revolution (which is what I like about the old mouse) and it lasts much longer on a charge. One of the best features is that you can use the mouse while it is charging. What was a bit disappointing is the side wheel is not included on this new mouse. I use it often on my old mouse and am trying to get used to using only the buttons. Overall this is still a good mouse and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a decent wireless mouse.

I'm on the computer all day and needed a comfortable mouse for my laptop. This feels great, works well and has loads of features (many of which I don't even use). It's pricey, but I was able to purchase it on sale. Worth the price. This mouse has a rechargeable battery which took a little getting used to, however, you can tether it to your computer and use it while it charges. Doesn't take long to charge and the charge lasts forever. Bought it a month ago and it's still running on the first charge. Would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this mouse when it was on sale for $45. The mouse is very comfortable and has lots of features you can change in the software. The mouse also has a internal battery and charges via USB. You can also plug the mouse in via USB and use the mouse. The charge seems to last a decent amount of time depending on your usage.

    My Favorite Mouse!!

I'm a retired computer technician/systems analyst that has used almost every type of mouse available in over 30yrs and this is my favorite of all !! I have been using this mouse daily for almost 2 yrs, is easy to setup and configure with the Unifying Software, I get at least 3 days of 12hr use out of a rechargeable battery and 5-6 days with a Duracell Ultra Power battery. It has worked on every type of surface I have tried, the arm of my recliner, glass, bumpy/uneven surfaces, my leg, the corner of my laptop, have not found a place or surface it does not work on. It is very programmable for many apps and games. I love the shape, is very comfortable for hours of game play, surfing, or anything you do on your computer. I use it with my 2 laptops, wherever one of these laptops goes so does my Performance Mouse MX !! The only other mouse I use is with my tablet another Logitech Wireless mouse the Anywhere Mouse MX, it works the same way, can use on just about any surface too, but much smaller!! ! If you're looking for a wireless anywhere programmable mouse, you won't be disappointed with the Performance Mouse MX or the Anywhere Mouse MX!

    Smooth Mouse

This mouse glides very smoothly, love the frictionless scroll wheel option, a bit pricey as far as mice are concerned but If the pains I have been having with my arm using other mice for extended periods go away it will have been well worth it, haven't had this long enough to test that theory. A big thanks to Best Buy for shipping this APO, no one else would.

After reading up on this product, I was hoping that this slick mice was top of the line. It has good ergo and feel and like the recharge capability. he scroll wheel seems kind of lagging. I have adjusted using settings but it still has its own judgement. Could use a some updates on the driver.

I purchased this mouse about a year and a half ago and it is still going strong! I am a graphic designer and am browsing the web a ton so I was looking for a mouse that wasn't too small and would fit comfortably in my hand to avoid pain when I was on the computer for an extended period of time. This mouse has definitely fit that need. It is super comfortable in the hand, have never had an issue with that. The programmable buttons are awesome, and having forward and back buttons right on the mouse are great for browsing the web. And most importantly it is super easy to set up; just plug in the USB dongle into your PC and you'll be good to go after the driver downloads and installs. I would highly recommend to anyone!

A great mouse to use works on every surfaces especially glass which i love most. It's not worth the price just too expensive. Mouse does not respond quickly after being on hibernate mode which always happens, commonly 2-5 second delay, really annoying.. It's heavy and not comfortable, tiring on the wrist.. The battery is rechargeable.

I bought this mouse to replace another Logitech mouse that was well used and due for replacement. I reviewed a number of options and decided on this one. I have been very happy with the purchase except for the software. The mouse has a number of extra buttons that can be coded to do special functions using the Logitech software. This does not always work.

I have been using this mouse for more than one year. There is no delay in responses and you can easily charge it with your USB connection. Recently, I purchase another for my wife during the $49 deal period. She likes it a lot. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I'm a graphic designer and I was developing severe symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, to the point where it was effecting my work. I purchased the Performance MX because of it's ergonomic attributes. About a month after using my new mouse I came to a startling realization... my forearm and wrist no longer ached like it did with my conventional Mac mouse. That alone was worth the price.

    Best Mouse Available

I walked into Best Buy to get myself a mouse for my new laptop. I had a general idea of what I wanted and I was going to choose between 3 logitech mice. I decided to go with this one because it was the only one that fit my hand size (I have big hands). This is by far the best mouse on the market today with its incredible ease-of-use and its Darkfield technology. I plugged it in and was ready to go. Easy to set up and the customizable buttons make it even better. Most comfortable mouse I tried. It also doesn't need any batteries and I just charge it every couple of days. It is a tad bit overpriced but I still wouldn't trade it for any other mouse.

I bought this for a Mac Mini and to see if it was a viable long term replacement for my MX Revolutions when their batteries die. So far I REALLY like it. I'm having to recharge the battery 1-2 times per week. Good that I can still use it via USB cable while charging. I also have a 2nd wireless mouse to serve as alternate while it's charging.

I got this mouse to use with my MacBook Pro for both OSX and when booting to Vista to play PC games. The receiver is super tiny and can even fit inside the battery compartment if you need it too. The mac needs the drivers to use any of the buttons correctly. I had trouble getting the scroll to be sensitive enough. Make sure to click on the scroll option in the menu to set scroll sensitivity, not very intuitive. HUGE improvement over my first laser wireless mouse. You can charge via micro-usb while using the mouse and it feels like a wired mouse. Battery seems to be holding up but you can swap out a single AA if your in a pinch. Nice accessory bag and charger etc comes with it. Was going to get the smaller "notebook" mouse but this one travels well and is GREAT for gaming. Feels great in your hand and very sensitive and responsive. Really like the thumb click for reloading etc in PC games. Last logitech mouse is over 4 years old and still working. This is the only mouse anyone should need.
