    As an adjunct professor, I've had one of these for several years. A friend of mine is also teaching, and I bought one for him since he was always trying to borrow mine. Great for powerpoints - especially with the laser pointer!

    The new one that I bought already had batteries inside. The battery apparently leaked while it was on the shelf. I had to return it since it made the inside corrosive. However, returning it was easy.

    This one is pretty good for when you are doing presentations. I use mine everyday. Really like the timer feature as it can help to keep you on track without constantly checking the clock. Only negative is the bag that comes with it. Previous versions had a nice bag with a zipper. This one is simple cloth with a drawstring. Green laser light that does not show up real well on a tv.

    The item is compact and durable, and fairly flexible for usage. So far it has interfaced well with our equipment. The 100 ft range isn't always accurate, but overall we are very pleased.
