This mouse works excellently with Apple computers. To get the most out of the mouse, download the software from logitech. If the scroll wheel stops working, it is related to a permissions issue in the accessibility preferences with the software. There are two reasons why I gave the mouse only four stars. First, the scroll wheel only operates with clicks. Some mice have the option to have a free moving scroll wheel. Second, the mouse should operate with the logitech dongle for Wi-Fi, but it is only supplied with the keyboard. Many people may want to use the mouse with a laptop without a keyboard.

I wanted an M510 but had to buy an M550 :-(

When one went bad recently, I went to Best Buy to find another but could not. So I settled on the M550L. This mouse is someone's idea of a joke. The feel is NOT acceptible; it's too sensitive. The scroll wheel doesn't have a good feel, either. I just do not like this mouse. To the trash can it'll go as soon as I can find a source for an M510. I guess it has something to do with its "silent click' sunction. Matters not to me ... I'm gonna throw it away.

Want to love this mouse, but the scroll wheel stop

It stopped working only a few weeks after I first got it - I've tried re-installing the software, cleaning it out, blowing canned air on the area in case it's an issue of dust in the wheel, but nothing seems to make it work 100% of the time. Really annoying and I'll have to get a new mouse that does work correctly, because the scroll wheel is something I use often.
