Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high-quality keyboard, ease of use, and protective qualities of the Slim Combo Keyboard Folio Case. Many appreciate the included stand and its lightweight design, along with convenient features like the pencil holder. However, some customers find the price to be high and the fit slightly snug. A few also mention that the case adds some bulk to the iPad.

    Exceeded Expectations

I got a 12.9 in iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for school this year as I wanted to go paperless and I needed a new iPad anyway. I needed iPad and laptop functionality and this case definitely delivered it. The keyboard is better than my actual laptop. The keys are soft, quiet, and don't take much energy to hit so you don't get that tired after a while. The grip is perfect for holding my Apple Pencil at the top and the keyboard is also magnetic, so it locks the iPad by closing it like the Apple cases do. The actual part where you put the iPad in is very secure and it feels very good to the touch. Some people were also saying that it randomly plays music or something when it is on and the keyboard is over the iPad. The keyboard does have a volulme up/down and a mute/unmute button, but I have never had a problem with it. I have walked across my campus with the keyboard over it while it was on and nothing ever played. You just have to turn down your volume, mute the iPad, and make sure no audio playing apps are in the background and you'll be fine and if you are not using the iPad at that moment, I don't know why those apps would be open anyway. If you need an iPad to work like a laptop, the iPad Pro and this case is a match made in heaven! Very glad I picked this up!

    Great Keyboard!

Yes, the music did go on but not until I hit the key on the top row when I was seeing what they all did. I agree with the one guy and wish that the the cloth like material was on all of the keypad, not just where the keyboard is. I made the mistake of buying a cheap keyboard but soon found out that cheap was really expensive, first their were several keys that stopped working then I bumped the keyboard and it broke . Another bonus, the screen can be put in different angles, Apples Keyboard does not do that. I have a really hard time with making the right choice, but this one was the right choice and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!!

Serious flaw with case - do not buy

Initially I loved this case. It's relatively thin, the keyboard felt great and was responseive, but then I tried to carry it. Literally the first time I closed the case and went to put it in my bag - music started playing! I quickly discovered if you hold the case by the side with the keyboard, the keys will press against the screen and activate the iPad. This was consistent and repeatable. All within the first day of owning this case, I managed to accidentally play music multiple times, and finally - get locked out of the iPad. I noticed the keyboard works when the iPad is flat, so I'm guessing it doesn't deactivate like Apples Smart Keyboard. Even if Logitech issues a patch that deactivates the keyboard when closed, I would still be nervous to have the keys pressing against the screen simply from transporting it.

A Major Black Eye For Logitech

I have been using logitech products for many years with great success. From my Harmony smart remotes to mice, keyboards and cases I have always had a very positive experience with Logitech. However, the Slim Combo case for my iPad pro 12.9 drastically misses that mark. I upgraded my iPad to the newest generation iPad pro 12.9 in December. My goal was to use this instead of a laptop when I am traveling. Initially, everything seemed to be working great. I was not experiencing the random music issue that others were reporting on but on several occasions I have gotten into morning meetings ready to get going only to find out that my iPad is almost dead (despite being plugged in the entire night). I researched the issue and found several posts where other users were experiencing the same issues. I contacted both Logitech and Apple to see if there was a fix for this. Both companies were initially very responsive. After several support calls and a trip to the apple store, Apple said there was nothing they could do as the keyboard was causing the issue and they are unable to support 3rd party products. I continued to work with Logitech and toward the end of January I contacted them again to let them know I would be returning the product as the issue has yet to be resolved. The rep asked several times for me to reconsider the return and if I did she would escalate the issue to the level 3 support rep. Based on my prior experience with Logitech I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have called back several times and I keep getting the run around. At the beginning of the month, my ability to return the product expired and now Logitech is not responding. The service level here is not what I would expect from any product (much less one I paid $160 for). For that reason, I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you use this case make sure to keep a powerbank handy because you will not be able to trust the iPad is charging.

    Better than Apple!

This keyboard case is the best I've found for the iPad pro. It's much better than the Apple keyboard. Stand angle is adjustable. The case also covers the back of the iPad. The key board work great. No problems at all on 7 iPad Pro's.

    Nice but not flawless

I purchased this keyboard on a cross country trip to replace an older one, and it took me a little while to get used to it. I finally fell in love with it, despite having to remove the keyboard on a regular basis, until after 6 months of use, the keyboard does not work properly. It will allow you to type with most of the keys, but there are times when the iPad does not reconize, the space bar, the letter “n”, or other keys. Too bad. I really liked it.

Good buy to compliment Apple product. Works well. I like the touch of the keyboard and the angle of the folio.

    Starts playing music-stay away-defective design

    Posted .

I recently bought this keyboard. Although it is quite nice, the design is defective. When you close it, the keyboard will start playing music. And it will play it LOUD. I've carried the iPad in my hands, with the iPad in sleep, and the keyboard will start playing music. I've had the iPad in my backpack, and it will start playing music. I've also had it in my trunk, when all of a sudden, it just starts playing. If you want to avoid this, you will have to take the keyboard out, or turn the iPad off every time you're walking with the case. It's a shame, because otherwise, the keyboard is nice to type to, and the case is practical, even if I don't think it will protect the iPad if it falls. Until Logitech improves the design and corrects this fatal flaw, I would stay away. I hope this gets recalled some time soon.

    Erratic Operation

I am disappointed in the operation of the unit when opening keyboard to unlock the iPad. I must disconnect and reconnect the keyboard to get it working. Logitech told me that the unit was defective and they promised to send a new one. They never did. I am back to using my Apple keyboard. It ALWAYS works.

    Won’t last you 6 months

Got this case both for protecting my iPad and for the keyboard. I’m currently on my way to take my iPad in to get the screen replaced because after only 6 months, the case has entirely broken, clinging onto the iPad by one side. And after one drop, my iPad is now shattered because this $150 case wasn’t worth it. Save your money and buy yourself an otter box or something more protective. The keyboard sounds great at first but in 6 months it will bend and it won’t even be usable anymore because the contacts and magnets won’t reach. Not to mention the random music playing at random times is super embarrassing and not a problem I’ve had with any case before. I wish I could get my money back.

    Not Good

Ok, read some other reviews but thought no it would happen to me. Wrong, it did, it does and it continues to do so. If you squeeze too hard on this keyboard while it is closed (carrying it around for example) it hits the play button on the keyboard and music starts playing. Not Good! Until Logitech gets this addressed, stay away from this keyboard unless you want music to start randomly playing when you walk into a meeting (happened to me) or walk out of a meeting or while it's in your backpack.

    Not Good

Not a good case for packing inside a backpack. Keyboard buttons press against the screen triggering the Ipad everytime it is stored inside of a backpack causing your itune playlist or your security window to engage with the potential of draining your battery or permanently locking your screen while in tow.

Have been a logitech fan for years. Purchased this for my iPad Pro so I could use it more effectively while traveling. Liked it overall. Found the exterior to be slippery and the plastic corners holding the iPad in place broke off in less than a year.
