Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Slim Combo Keyboard Folio Case's keyboard quality, ease of use, and the protection it offers for their iPad. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the convenient stand feature. While some found the price a bit high and noted minor concerns about magnet strength and the pencil holder, the positive feedback on the keyboard and overall usability outweighs these drawbacks. The case's fit for the iPad is also frequently praised.

Design that is lazy that will drive you crazy

For $120 this case for the 5th/6th gen iPad is NOT WORTH it. The one imperfection is with the magnetized keyboard which does not stick well to the iPad. I've owned this case for less than 1 hour and the keyboard has fallen twice already (I didn't get the $20 BestBuy protection plan either). Though the keyboard is still working, as you can imagine, continual detachment of the keyboard by accident will surely render the keyboard inoperable. Since the keyboard will likely fall off, I'd highly advise getting a screen protector as I doubt the outer shell will protect your screen, especially if the iPad falls flat on the side of the screen. The keyboard's keys themselves are not attractive; they keys are squared giving a cheap finish look and feel (at least try to copy the Apple round keyboard style). The charging wire that comes with this case (yes, you have to charge the keyboard) is very short; about a foot long give/take and you will need your own wall adapter; I'd imagine if you have to work and charge, then you'll need to purchase a very long USB wire. Overall, the case looks too thick and bulky; forget about the idea of carrying around a slender, slick iPad; you're going to be known as the person with a big flat brick; extremely unaesthetic. The only good thing about this case is the concept of it; a case to protect with a keyboard and pencil holder. But this is a design that is LAZY that will drive you CRAZY for the price and imperfections you'll have to tolerate. I'm returning this tomorrow!

    Got a great deal

I bought this off of Best Buy’s deal of the day for $60. Not bad for that price. Everything works well so far, but the overall feel of it is cheap and I’m afraid one drop will break the case. The keyboard feels great, but I’ve read a lot of bad reviews on this. I hope Logitech fixed the problem. As for now, everything works great and for $60, it was a deal but I wouldn’t buy it for the asking price.

    Easy to Pair and Use

I was not going to get a keyboard for my IPad because I was going to use it primarily as a personal planner disconnected from Google. I read the reviews and was apprehensive that it was going to work. I simply put the IPad in the holder, turned the keyboard on (it was already charged though I don't know how long it will be before I have to recharge it), found Bluetooth on the IPad and paired it by typing in the number the IPad told me to. I then tested it by typing a Note and then by entering events in my calendar. It worked perfectly. I love it!!!

Keys stop working. Replaced. Happened Again

I purchased the Slim Combo in mid August 2018 for my 6th Gen iPad. I wanted a keyboard/case with back lit keys. Initially it was great! Everything I wanted. Keys were the perfect size with the feel of typing on a real keyboard. About 6 weeks later the 'delete' key stopped working. Days later, multiple keys stopped working. I attempted to return it to the store, but was told I had to go through Logitech because it was greater than 14 days. After trying all of the recommended "fixes," I submitted a support ticket and Logitech promptly sent out another keyboard. As you might have guessed, the same thing happened with the replacement about 4 weeks after I received it. Although their customer service team was quick to respond and replace the first Slim Combo, I can not rely on the product and requested a full refund. Go to their website and look at the knowledge base for the Slim Combo 5th/6th Gen. It'll convince you to look elsewhere for a keyboard case.

    Do not buy

The only thing worse than this keyboard is Logitech’s Customer Service. I bought the keyboard for $120 from Best Buy in August because a keyboard was required for her school-issued iPad (new). School started in September. Several keys quit working by October. I called Custoner Service in November. They were very nice but it took a month for them to send a replacement. The replacement quit working within a couple weeks. Several keys quit working again and the whole keyboard wouldn’t re- pair with the iPad when we tried to reset everything. Logitech Customer Service said they preauthorized sending another replacement. Instead we got a email asking for more details. When I called again, they said again that they would immediately send a replacement. We got an email saying shipping was in process. We waited three more weeks and finally got an email saying the case was “resolved”. According to UPS, they never received a keyboard from Logitech. My daughter’s school year is half over and she needs a working keyboard now. I asked for a refund. They sent an email saying my 30 days from purchase had expired. That was it. No offer to actually “resolve” case, finally send a working keyboard, or any effort whatsoever to care of the customer. Their reps are nice on the phone, but this company knows nothing about making a quality product, timely service or putting their customer’s needs first. DO NOT BUY LOGITECH

I bought this in January and started using it for work. It worked great. Now it is March and a few of the keys have stopped working. I am going through Logitech for the warranty and I am waiting on a response from them. I need this quickly.

    Great Idea poor execution

I was initially really excited about the Slim Combo for my 6th generation Ipad but that excitement died pretty quickly. Within 2 weeks the keyboard started working very poorly. The A, and C key as well as the Spacebar would only work maybe once every ten times. Then they quit working altogther. I tried to contact Logitech but they didn’t help at all as it took a week to get a response, which essentially amounted to: power the Ipad and keyboard off. I ended up taking the keyboard back to Best Buy. Best Buy was very helpful and they gave me a store credit as I was past the 15 day return window. There weren’t a whole lot of options in the store that I could try so I went with a Slim Folio as a replacement and I have been happy with it so far.

    Works for a day..

I loved this keyboard at first. It was exactly what I wanted and allowed me to carry my iPad vs a laptop around as I commute for work and go to school. Week 2 of the first case, keys started sticking and it intermittently worked. Logitech support offered some ways to resolve - then it would not even connect by bluetooth after that. Took 4 weeks to receive a replacement after a warranty claim. The new one arrived and I was hopeful - worked for one day last week and already is worse off than the first version. This product is a hit or miss and I have missed on both products. Be wary of reviews for people who have just received product. I am in an online forum and there are many people facing the same issue of this product after 2-3 weeks. I'm past the point of the best buy return so now I am stuck with an expensive keyboard that does not function and I cannot afford to replace.

Bought this keypad case for my 6th gen IPad in early February from Best Buy because I liked the ability to separate the case from keypad. All was good until various keys stopped working within a few days of purchase and after only very limited use. The case/keyboard were NEVER dropped, exposed to moisture, or electrical spike. Random keys just stopped working. Very disappointing. WORSE: I could not return to Best Buy as I was traveling for work. Upon return, Best Buy advised they do not honor the Logitech warranty and I would need to go directly to Logitech, but Logitech does NOT offer the option to request a refund or exchange on their website, and their Customer Service is useless. Logitech, how dare you sell a product for over $100 that fails in days and can not be returned or exchanged without jumping through multiple hoops. Stand behind your product or stop selling it until you get it right!

    Some keys do not respond

Purchased two months ago. During second month of use on my 2017 iPad, certain keys stopped working. Thought it might be a low charge on the battery causing some keys to stop working, but removed this possibility after fully charging batt. Other reviews have indicated same keyboard issues. Probably too late for a return. Logitech's product run has apparent issues with this keyboard. Would not recommend.

    Keys stopped working/terrible customer support

This is the second case I purchased (same model). The first one I dropped from a short distance, and the keys broke off. I figured this was my fault, so I didn’t complain - though I feel a drop drom about 3 feet should not damage the keyboard. I went and bought another slim combo, as I like the design. This time, random keys will stop working. I filed a claim through Logitech under the warranty (purchased in Oct. of 2018). They ran me through some trouble shooting, which did not fix the problem. After a week the keys started to work again, so I let Logitech know this - they closed my warranty claim. Now they keys are acting up again, and I’ve been tryin to file another claim. Logitech’s website keeps looping me through the claim process, only to have error messages pop up when submitting.

    Good but broke

I had two. While it lasted, it was very convenient and useful as I really enjoyed using it. However, both, after just a couple of months, some keys started to fault, increasing continually until it became completely unusable. Not sure if that is just a cheap make or if I was unlucky both times, but I am sad to give this a bad review.

I bought this case for my new ipad, and just after 2 weeks, my keyboard would stop working and certain keys wouldn't work or it wouldn't connect to my ipad. The magnetic strip that attaches to my ipad also is very weak and kept falling off my ipad. Would not buy this product again !!!

Keyboard stopped working after 6 months. Bought in Jan, stopped working in July. Returned via Geek Squad protection plan I bought at the time of purchase. With refund, purchased a Zagg Rugged Book instead. Giving this a try.
