It has a lock key that shuts down the screen and requires re-opening, located right alongside the volume up key. So if you are listening to a live broadcast and want to turn up the volume, you have an excellent chance of turning off the iPad for however long it takes you to log back in. Also a good chance of hitting it when picking up the case with your right hand.

My daughter had purchased two prior cases from other manufacturers that were a “pretty pink” but broke quickly. This case was easy to put on, sturdy, and does not limit function or obstruct features of her iPad. This was very important because her school uses iPads instead of laptops. I’m glad we did the research and bought this case. Hope it comes in pink one day!
