Great typing experience and protection

The case protects the iPad, the keyboard is fantastic (and my favorite part) and everything else is done well. That said, it is not perfect and how much you like it will depend on how you want to use it. The case does its job well, feels sturdy and I really like the holder for the Apple pen. This does all come at a cost. The case has some weight to it, and it is not exactly the slimmest thing, despite it being in the name. This is my main issue with this case. It is not a deal-breaker for me, and I do take it with me on the go, but it does add some weight and bulk to the iPad. It is fine for my uses, and I like that piece of mind knowing it is protected, but just know what you are looking for. As for the keyboard. I love it. Nice spacing, the keys are responsive and feel great, it has a convenient row of iOS shortcuts (battery check, brightness, volume, etc…), and it is backlit. It is great to use, is instant on, and I could not ask for more. There are a couple of viewing angles/modes you can use, and although more is always better, these were good for me. For me, this is the most important part of this product, as I by far spend more time typing than anything else, and I think it is also the best. The rest of the device is solid as well. Pairing is simple and just works. Charging is via USB-C and while I can’t comment on battery-life for the long term, it seems great so far and is rated such it should not be a problem going forward. In the end, as I said, I like this keyboard case. Other than compatibility for new iPad models, it seems similar to last year’s model, which I also liked. It protects, the keyboard is great, and things like set-up, charging, and battery are done well. I like the blend of keyboard and protection. You just have to see what mix is best for you, but I think, as a whole, it is a better product and value than Apple’s in-house offering.

While this is more on Best Buy’s end, the folio is quite heavy. Also if you’re used to a laptop and plan to convert, I’d suggest getting the one with the trackpad
