    Awesome iPad Air Keyboard/Case

The Logitech Slim Folio Wireless Keyboard for the 3rd Generation iPad Air is a great case for the 10.5" iPad. It turns your iPad into a portable laptop. The keyboard/case completely covers and protects the iPad. When the case is closed, it will power off the screen on the iPad. Also, the case is hard-shelled so it will protect the iPad front and back when closed. There are convenient cutouts which allow you to still use the camera and get to any other buttons on the edges. The case also does not interfere with the speakers so you still have good sound quality when listening to media on the iPad. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth to the iPad. The pairing is fairly easy to do but it may take a second or two to figure out. You don't simply go to the Bluetooth settings and press CONNECT. There is a code to type in. It is just something to be aware of. The keyboard keys feel good when typing. There is enough of a tactile response so that you feel like you are typing on a real keyboard. The keys are raised so it feels like most other laptops. Another nice feature is that the keyboard does not need to be continually charged. The case is powered by two CR2032 3V batteries. These batteries should last at least a couple of years before replacing. Replacement of the batteries is easy as well. The battery well is easily accessible and can be opened with a thin screwdriver. The case also features a place to hold the Apple Pencil. This holder does a good job of holding the Apple Pencil. I have moved the case around many times and the Apple Pencil has not slid around or become loose. As with any case, it will make your iPad a bit thicker than it was. However, if you want a keyboard/case, this one does the trick. This is a great keyboard to help you get the most out of your iPad. I would recommend this to anyone.

Keys fell off with 2nd use

I purchased this and with second use several keys popped off. We were able to replace most but two of them wouldn’t go back in place. Best Buy had it marked ad too late to return and Logitech didn’t answer the phone. I sent and email and called Best Buy and they both responded. I’m hoping to exchange at local store but I’m unsure this product is quality. Time will tell!

I'm no stranger to Logitech products and their quality. I really like the versitality that adding the keyboard to my iPad adds. My last gen 2 iPad had a keyboard attacment from Logitech which I really like as well. I'm writing the review using this new one. Battery life...4 years! I'll let you know. At first with it being a standard cell replaceable battery I was a little shocked, and wasn't sure if I agreed. But after thinking about the fact that it is replaceable and I don't have to carry an extra cable to charge, its really great. When the case closes and the iPad docks the magnets give a very solid reassuring connection that it won't easily pop open. It feels like a Netbook of old. I tend to keep my iPad on all the time and the fact when the device is closed in notebook style it shuts off the keybard is great and allows one to keep the tablet on. The keyboard is great size and all the shortcut keys make it feel like your using a laptop, only the limiations of iPad OS remind me I'm not; and also no trackpad. The keys are really quiet and have a satisfactory feel to them, so would be suitbable for meeting and/or class situations with distrubing someone. Way quieter than a pen click. When it comes to using the Apple Pencil and the holder, I wish the Pencil wasn't just secured by a loop at the top of the case, but had a spot to snap into the housing of the case. I have seen this implemented in a different brand, so I know it can be done. When using the iPad to write and laying it flat against the keyboard, it is doesn't hit the keys by design. It does rock/wobble a little bit. The casing material is a nice soft touch, almost leather feel. Not sure how else to describe it. I highly recommend this to anyone want to extend the versitaality of their iPad. Using it in Portrait mode as a reader, does add a bit of awkwardness to holding it, but for me coming from a porfolio style case that was thick, its not any more awkward than that one. If you are looking for mulitiple viewing angles, you will only get one in Landscape mode, but it is a comfortable angel, so should be fine whether using the device from your lap or on a table. But your experience may be different than mine. All in I can easily recommend this product.

    I love this wireless keyboard

This wireless keyboard is great for the Air and it even fits on my Ipad Pro 10.5. I had an older version of the logitech keyboards and I loved that one, but this one is even better. My only complaint is the keys don’t light up. I loved that about my old logitech keyboard which is one of the reasons I chose that over the apple keyboard. It is not a huge deal, but I did love that feature. Other than that, this keyboard is a def 5 stars. The outside is sleek and smooth and feels very durable and thick, but doesnt look it. I love that the keyboard is smaller like the apple one and the cover is not separated from the keyboard so you can fold it behind the ipad. The keyboard will not work until you connect it to the very strong magnetic strip area that holds up the ipad very well. This is such an awesome wireless keyboard for your Ipad. It really feels like a mini laptop and I love that. I love the upgrade and I love how it looks. Connecting this to my Ipad was very easy. It also connected to my Ipad Pro easily too. The battery life is supposed to be very long too (4 years) so thats a plus. This slim case also makes it easy to fit into a sleeve protector. I can actually fit both my ipads in my one sleeve. I love that. After owning the older logitech wireless keyboard, I realized that some of the things I liked about it at first were not things I liked in the long run (except for the light up keyboard). I like that the Ipad is attached to the keyboard, I like that it is slimmer and not so bulky and still feels very good as far as protection. There is a pen holder and the keyboard is smaller. I would def recommend this.

    Great Keyboard, But Heavy

The Logitech Slim Folio Wireless Keyboard for iPad Air (3rd Gen.) is a solid cover for your 10.5” iPod Air. When opened up it provides great typing capability with its solid keys. Its solid constriction also provides great protection for your iPod. This folio case has 3 basic functions: (1) Heavy-duty protection for your iPod, (2) Typing functionality and (30 Transforming your iPod into a laptop. This Logitech case increases the weight of the iPod itself from 1 lb. to 2.3 lbs. It will work great on a flat surface like table as a laptop, but quite uncomfortable when using it in bed. This folio case uses Bluetooth to connect to your iPad. Installation is quite simple. Just press the Bluetooth symbol on the keyboard and you will get a numeric code that you need to input on the keypad and your connected! What could be easier! The folio case’s keyboard has a great tactile feel making it easy to use when typing emails or documents. When your case is closed, your iPod is in sleep mode. Although I heartily recommend the Logitech Slim Folio case for the 3rd gen. iPod, I wish the weight would have been less as I frequently use it in bed. But if you’re wanting to use your iPod as a laptop, this is the case you need to buy!

I bought a Logitech on 1/18/2020 and it soon started falling apart-keys fell off and also the top seal was coming loose. Then the virus hit and was unable to bring it in for an exchange. So i wrote the company and was asked for pics and all sorts of other info many times until one day a replacement arrived, but soon after it also started losing keys and the seal also started coming loose. I need to bring it in for a refund since Best Buy has nothing to exchange it for. My last Logitech for my Ipad mini 9 years ago is still good. The mini needs a new battery, though.

    An Awesome iPad Companion Keyboard!!

As an owner of an iPad Air, I was truly excited to test this keyboard and its functionalities. Suffice to say, it was a true plug and play experience. Thus far, I am extremely pleased with its performance from how tactile the keys are as they afford a really great typing experience, the spacing of the keys as they don’t feel squashed which allows my fingers to move with free mobility while typing, and the IOS short keys are a plus as they make navigations simple. The case itself feels sturdy which thus affords a level of protection against accidental damage, scratches and spills. Logitech claims a four-year battery life with a replaceable coin cell battery that powers the keyboard for up to four-years without replacing it. I am looking forward to seeing if this time-table holds up. If it does, this is indeed impressive technology. The only downer, I can think of is that I would probably need a new iPad by that time as Apple frequently updates their technology. Overall, this has been truly a positive experience with this keyboard as it has truly not disappointed. The only thing I would have liked to have a lighted-keyboard but then that would probably significantly drain the battery. I give Logitech yet another thumbs up for a great product that improves technology for iPad users!

Using iPads since the 1st generation, I had always been okay with the onscreen keyboard; but recently started using an Apple Pencil w/ Photoshop/Illustrator. Great and all, but nothing beats having keyboard shortcuts handy and on the fly like using an actual keyboard! This case now makes my iPad world complete. Fits snug and secure - doesn't not require an engineering degree to install. It offers good protection to the iPad itself, it pairs (very easily via bluetooth), allows for actual keyboard input/shortcuts, and has a great place for my Apple Pen! Minimalistic in design and concept, but so practical, I'm not sure why I waited so long to get one. I've already taken it on a trip to Africa and back, and it was awesome to have this case on the LONG flights! Your iPad sits propped up at a perfect viewing angle on the tray table of the seat in front of you. If you have an iPad, you should have one of these.

Horrible Experience - Scratched the Screen

Purchased the product thinking that it will protect the screen and provide the ease of a keyboard. After a few days of use, I was horrified when I realized that the cover actually scratched the screen. The cover has a slide linear movement, left to right, due to the flexibility of the material that is used as hinge. Do not use this product without a screen protector. Better look for a different product or invest a little bit more money and buy the Apple keyboard. That is what I should have done. Truly disappointing.

Bought this for my wife's iPad Air. Would not turn on. Put in new batteries and still wouldn't work. Returned it to store for exchange and that one didn't work either, so I left it at the store. This was great at first! I liked the look, it was sleek and easy to use. But the Apple Pencil holder quickly became loose and my pencil would fall out. About the fourth or fifth time it fell out, it actually damaged my pencil. So disappointed, since I now have a damaged pencil and a holder that I don’t want to use anymore!

This keyboard case worked extremely well for my wife at her work. All her forms are on her Apple iPad Air and she needed a way to complete them faster than the on-screen keyboard. She just happened to need a case also, so we got the Logitech to see if it would fit the bill. It absolutely does, and she loves it. It is a very secure case that doesn't add too much to the iPad's thickness. It seems to be of good quality and durability, though I don't care to test it. She loves the full sized keyboard and the key travel works great for her. It's a good size and allows for full speed typing! Highly Recommended!

the good: - overall design and build quality - Feels well built with quality materials, with some hard plastic and some “grippy” matte material. Classic design. - keyboard - layout and travel. It’s of course smaller than a standard keyboard, but the layout is the same. No oddly placed shift or arrow keys to deal with. Key travel feels decent for this type of keyboard, so I had no real issues getting used to it and typing accurately on it. - secure fit / protection - The case does seem to offer up a fair bit of protection for the iPad itself, though that may not be its intended design. - dedicated function keys - The dedicated “Mac-centric” function keys are a nice touch: media control as well as search and command are nice to see here. the bad: - thickness / weight - Really my only somewhat nit picky complaint about the case is the thickness. For a device as thin and sleek as the new iPads, it is a bit of a shame to put a case on it this thick. Logitech doesn’t seem to have put any research into making these cases thinner, as it looks essentially the same as my old iPad Air 2 case. overall: Overall this is a very solid case in my opinion. A bit thinner and lighter and it’d be an easy 5 stars for me. As it stands, I’m taking off 1 star for overall size, but that in no way detracts from the quality and usefulness of it.
