We returned it because it did not have features we needed. There was no scroll capability and the buttons could not be programmed.

I did not like this product for what I wanted to use it for. If you are using it for word applications or just moving around on the computer it is bulky and slow. Maybe it was better for gaming and since I don't do games on the computer I don't know. I went back to the standard looking mouse and am much happier.

You have to move your arm more to get this thing to move the cursor than if you just used a traditional mouse. The thumb click is very counter intuitive if you are new to ball mice.

Works OK but no scroll wheel.

I was using a Logitech M570 but found the Logitech universal transceivers to run it was so weak that any more than 3 feet from the PC was enough to disrupt it. So when it's buttons stopped working, I decided to go back to a wired mouse. Too bad Logitech decided to stop making the equivalent to the M570 in a wired form. The only other Logitech wired trackball available was the Marble. It works with the middle fingers to roll the ball instead of the thumb. I find that harder to use but still useable. There are two problems though that are making this Marble completely unusable. 1st, it has no scroll wheel. None whatsoever. Most all of my programs, both games and documents need a scroll wheel. I can't believe this was left off this otherwise good mouse. The instructions mentioned how using Logitech's Setpoint software I could program the two smaller buttons to do this. Had to download it as it was not included. Not true that it would simulate the up and down scrolling. The universal scroll or auto-scroll settings do no work in almost any software I have and require combinations of clicking buttons to get any functionality at all. There are no options for scroll up or scroll down to be assigned to the 3rd and 4th buttons. Logitech's settings for these button are ignored by any software I've tried that actually wants to use the scroll setting. Next the 3rd and forth buttons are so tiny and submerged into the bigger buttons that they are not easy to find or use with the thumb and outside fingers. The fact I can't use this mouse with most of my software to scroll is an incredible inconvenience. Even cheap $10 mice have this built in these days. What was Logitech thinking when they canceled most of their wired trackball line and kept this one? I'm going to be replacing this trackball mouse the next time I am in the store. And it won't be with another Logitech. Thousands of people are complaining online about Logitech's cancellation of the wired trackball that works like the wireless M570. I too wanted to get that mouse and ended up with this one. Don't buy this Marble mouse if you have owned older Logitech mice. You'll probably not like it.

    Great Track Ball Mouse

This is a replacement for my first one that lasted nearly 10 years. A regular mouse causes pain that radiates up my arm after an hour of use. This one allows me to use the computer for hours without having to stop. It's a great product! For approximately $20 it's a great deal too compared to other models by other companies.

Best Mouse is a Logitech Marble Mouse

I have had this logitech Marble mouse for about 7 yrs and it has never failed me. I'am a frequent gamer as are my kids and they love it. This is a great gaming mouse due to the number of buttons, they can be programmed to perform any action you have. It has out lasted every friends computer mouse that I can think of. It comes with an installation cd and is easy to navigate, works like a charm. Logitech offers a wide variety of actions for each button. The action is stilll as smooth as the day I bought it and I will continue to use and recommend to everyone. Today I'am buying another one for sons first computer. Well worth the money even when it was almost three times as much back 7 yrs ago.

This mouse is Excellent!!! Best for both right & left handers, we have both in our family and this mouse is perfect for all. At first everyone disliked it, but once they got used to it, it's the only one they want to use. Easy glide, smooth to scroll with, easy to click - move, and even better for gamers. We now have 4 and will purchase at least another for a backup. We all use them at home and at work. I've converted others that I've worked with over the past few years also. Logitech Marble Mouse is the only one we use & recommend!! Haven't found one yet that I like better than this one!

Ive been using one of these superb pointing devices ever since Logitech released it. In my opinion, it's the best, most user friendly and ergonomic device of its kind. I use one with all my computers and always will!

    Excelent mouse

Excellent mouse. It can be used for right or left hand and the right and left click can be reversed, so right click= left click and vice versa.I use it with my left hand and use a regular mouse with my right hand. It Takes a little time to get used to the track ball, but it quickly becomes second nature. Some reviewers have said that they can't scroll with this mouse, but I definitely can. It's easy. Just use the marble to move the cursor to the scroll bar, click and hold down, and move the marble to move the scroll bar. It's comfortable to hold and is excellent quality as well. I've had mine for years. Definitely recommend.

    Good trackball-inadequate driver & support

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am a long-time Logitech fan, but this experience makes it hard to remain one. First, I like the Trackman Marble hardware - well-built. The usefulness is severely degraded by not having a workable scroll setting. I tried to work with Logitech support several times to get their driver & setup software to work as advertised - no success at all - like talking to a robot with canned answers only. Bottom line - only buy this is you do NOT need scrolling. Logitech needs to fix the driver / setup software & support to make this a winner.

    Great Mouse: No shoulder pain!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is probably my 3rd one of these mice. I really like the way it works. No shoulder pain from moving my whole arm to use a regular mouse. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that they do wear out after a few years (and yes, I do clean it).

Found the shape a little hard on my hand, (age 68) used another trackball for 6-7 years, buttons too sensitive ( I have tremors). Worked very well but just not for me as I shake to much. I would recomend it.

Logitech's choices for trackballs are dwindling. This one is definitely not for the novice trackball user. But it is OK. A scroll wheel would be nice.

I have never had any issues with other mouses with carpel tunnel issues but this trackball hurts my hand majorly. Within the first 15-20 minutes of use i felt discomfort in my hand and later started getting sharp pains and soreness. Save your wrist and money don't buy this product.

I have had the roller ball for years and loved it but I just had to change to the reg mouse because the 10 computer will no longer allow me to use it .It is now incompatible !!!!!!!!!! .This really makes me feel bad as I have arthritis in my fingers and wrists and find it so hard to use a regular mouse. So don't buy it now until you know for sure it will work with your computer
