Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the keyboard quality and ease of use of the Universal Keyboard Folio, frequently citing positive experiences with pairing and usage across various tablet brands. While many appreciate its lightweight design and protective case, some users reported issues with the fit, battery life, and the stability of the stand. Concerns were also raised regarding connectivity problems experienced by a few customers. Overall, the positive feedback on the keyboard and ease of use appears to outweigh the negative comments on other features.

    it does the job

I travel a lot so I was quite excited to try out the Universal Folio on my latest trip. I must admit I didn’t read the instruction so I switched it on and I didn’t see the power until I pulled the plastic slip from the battery compartment and the light lit up green. Try pairing with the device on a plane may be a pain because I found like 20 other Bluetooth devices ready to be connected and I had to scroll down until I found the Universal Folio all the way at the bottom of the list. After that, it was simply entering the passcode on the keyboard to pair with my ipad mini. The keyboard looks and feels small, but it does the job and fits perfectly on my economy food tray. I was able to respond to several work emails without finger fatigue from typing. Keystrokes are very responsive and I experience no delay. The only complaint I got about this is when you close it, the top grip holders are pressing against the left CTRL shifts and right arrow keys, which may result in damage in the long term. For now, I am taking this baby with me on all my trips just so I can check in with work periodically from my ipad.

A decent product not without its flaws

Used with iPad 2 The folio was easy to remove from the packaging. The instructions, while concise, did not provide any text. It was easy enough for me to discern what needed to be done, but less tech savvy users may experience issues setting the device up. I did experience some issues getting the folio to pair with my iPad. I will not fault Logitech on this, though, as I've noticed many times that Apple products can have some issues when first pairing with a new accessory. I have noticed issues with the bluetooth staying connected. While the folio does go into an inactive state when you fold it over to use the touch screen (as it should), I experienced issues with getting the device to reconnect when I put it back into the keyboard configuration. When the device functions properly, I think it is a solid product. I would prefer the thickness to be a bit smaller when you fold it closed, but you give up some of those comforts when using a universal item. As much as I like the concept behind the folio, I don't see this as something I'd use on a regular basis. I think it would be a great product for someone who travels often and does work primarily from an ipad or tablet. It does make typing long responses significantly easier than using the touch screen.

At first I was not happy with this. Once my son set it up for me the right way. It is great to have a normal keyboard. The size makes it easy to get text wrote. I still think it is bulky and I am all about thin but I think the function of normal keyboard out weighs the thin tablet

First of all, I received this item as a tester. The first impression I felt was it is very flimsy, the material feels cheap. Bluetooth connection was not stable, it took me a while to get it to connect. The keyboard itself feels great when typing. The space between them is perfect. Since this is an universal folio, it should be able to hold any size of tablet, not just for 9 or 10 inch. The stand that holds the tablet should be adjustable.

Ok but still a little awkward

Now that Hurricane Irma has passed and life is getting back to some semblance of order, I’ve had more time to spend using the Universal Folio. I use my IPad2 frequently for many different applications, one of which is to read or reference material while standing at a podium addressing medium to large size groups of people. When my iPad is clipped in the universal Folio on these occasions I don’t really need the keyboard and it is cumbersome and somewhat in the way when just trying to view the iPad because it has only one position/angle. The angle is great for typing, but not necessarily the best positioning for the application explained above. If you don’t like that angle you have to remove the iPad tabs out of their locked position and just lay the IPad on top of the keyboard. Again, that is a little awkward and not to my liking. Overall, it is a great setup and I have loved using it. It is quick to fold out, click on and get right to work. It is great for taking notes during meetings or just jotting down thoughts and impressions for various projects for me. Sent from my iPad

    Not worth the price tag

I have been using my Logitech - Universal Keyboard Folio Case for about 3 weeks now. When I first received it I struggled to get my tablet into place. The instructions showed just images, I think some text would have helped. Additionally it took several (many) attempted to sync the bluetooth from keyboard to tablet. Once synced up the keyboard works well when sitting at a desk or table. The base of the keyboard is too light to counter the weight of a tablet when you try to balance it on your lap or a soft surface. I also missed using shortcuts like copy, paste and save. For a basic keyboard it works well, but I think the price should be lower. Aesthetically, It looks professional and sleek. I got this keyboard to see if I could survive without investing in a new laptop. In the end I decided a laptop was more functional for on the go mostly because of ability to actually use it on your lap.

I wanted to review this product because I have a small tablet that doesn't allow for typing to be very easy. I am constantly on my tablet and this keyboard makes it 100 times easier to type what I need to. The quality of the product is as expected. It is durable for what it is. I liked that my tablet fit into the slots made for it. It was very easy to connect to my tablet. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

Biggest Embarassment to Logitech I've Experienced

I ordered this with my Galaxy Tab 10, which is on the list of tablets supported by this "universal" case. It does not fit. The 2 rubberband hooks have awkward corner-shaped tips that were designed to support a 4:3 aspect ratio screen not a 16:9. They sit with over an inch of slack around the tablet, if you straighten them the tablet kicks itself out of the stationary bottom 2 clips. The pegs that hold it in place are also not great. If you reach for something it's going to fold shut. There is no padding, your tablet will smash it's face into the plastic keys. The keyboard does not fold back behind the tablet neatly when it is not required, suggesting you fully remove the case when you aren't typing. Because of the terrible hook design the secured, supported model tablet slides a good inch left and right with the folio closed. Speaking of closing the folio, there are 2 specific notches in the cover meant to keep the screen of your device from grinding across the keys. With the band securing the cover in place aligned properly, the slightest movement will disengage those notches and the full force of the alphabet is ready to ruin your screen. I unboxed this $50 case tonight. It goes back tomorrow.

Sorry to read you're having compatibility issues with your Universal Folio keyboard. Since it is a Universal case, it isn't guaranteed to fit every 9-10" tablet perfectly.

I did not purchase this, but was asked to test it. At first I had a hard time getting the blue tooth to connect, but then I realized what I was missing. Now that it is connected, I just love. The case is sturdy and holds my ipad (10") in place. I can place this on my knees and type away. I love having this keyboard better then the keyboard on the ipad. I now use it more then my laptop. It's nice and easy to carry outside. I like the factor that the case is a hard plastic. I use my ipad a whole lot more now that I have this case. The clips that hold the ipad in place are a nice hard plastic. Its really easy to clip in and out. I use my ipad to store alot of my knitting and crochet patterns on it, so often the other case would just collapse. With this one it is very sturdy on the couch or outside on a table. Even when the table was bumped the case did not fall, it was sturdy and when someone else sits on the couch, again the case did not move, the case kept it in the same position..

Really nice that this keyboard pairs easily. The keys were easy to touched and pressed quite easily. The thin design of the keyboard makes it look very sleek and stylish. Goes with my iPad well. I did not experience any difficulties pairing it together. Worked like a charm. Very easily portable, you can slip this in your purse easily, it is not bulky and does not take up a lot of room. I did not experience any cons with this item and would recommend it all family and friends.

I am not going to write anything different than what others have commented. Hard-hitting: It is definitely not worth the stated price. One could get a tablet for the same amount! If one has at least seen the Surface's detachable keyboard, you would realize how tall the design and aesthetics have grown. This keyboard is late to the market by about 6yrs. BT 3.0 was old as 2009. Pros - 1. Can act as a super case/shell for your tablet 2. The keys are solid and feels good, but not as good as the Surface's cloth board 3. The holders are capable to accommodate different sizes 4. Good battery life Cons - 1. Old design 2. Old technology 3. Overpriced 4. For the price, there is no backlight for the keys 5. Flimsy/low quality plastic 6. Bulky! 7. Has two adjustments (tilt) only 8. Does not come with a pen 9. For the size, there is no touchpad

I absolutely adore this keyboard! It's absolutely perfect for anyone who does a lot of typing on their phone or their iPad! It may only fit a specific size iPad, but if you position the keyboard to set up like a laptop like you're supposed to while in use, it has enough lean that any device smaller than the suggested one will stay there. I've used this keyboard both with my iphone and my iPad and I absolutely loved it! It made writing so much easier! The best part, was I chose this product with only the expectation of it just being a generic iPad keyboard... it was not! There are so many little perks to it that it just blew my mind! You can type from a distance away and it will still work, should you have to leave your phone somewhere and go check on the spelling of something or maybe you're documenting something and your phone or iPad is charging. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone I know with a Bluetooth compatible device!

I have a Windows tablet and love it since it can connect to all my other PC's, but the darn keyboard doesn't stay in the magnetic holder and it disconnects itself, but this keyboard fixed that. I was able to connect via Bluetooth for a more stable connection (then the physical magnetic one). Besides making my tablet better, the keys are well spaced for normal typing and the typing angle is perfect whether using on a table or a lap. What's cool is I can also use this with my iPhone or other computers as well. Basically open the box, insert tablet into the adjustable clips, connect Bluetooth by pushing one button, and go. Buying fresh corn is more complicated than this keyboard setup. Great product from Logitech! Thank You!

Did not hold up to travel

I have had successful experiences with Logitech keyboards in the past, for iPads. I was planning a trip for Aug 2021 and purchased this Universal Folio, since a dedicated keyboard for my older iPad Air was no longer available. The Universal Folio began to self-destruct almost immediately. The elastic strap became disconnected at one end. A key came off and was lost (I was traveling after all.) Eventually the keyboard ceased functioning altogether: many keys would not work at all or produced different letter/symbol. When I returned from travel, I reported this to Logitech and they sent a replacement.

One of the best keyboard folios on the market

I bought this item today and I'm very pleased. It's exactly what I needed: sleek, non-bulky, uses plastic anchors to hold the tablet in place instead of cloth straps, ergonomic relative to the hands, zero lag when typing, and it looks fantastic with my black 10'' android tablet. It looks like I bought them as one unit. I researched keyboard folios extensively and this is one of the cheapest and best looking on the market.
