Had a hard time setting it up. Seema to not pick up or location yeit from my mac. Tryed youtubing it and going online gor help. Gonna return it.

I received this in April and it’s mid-August and this product no longer works. Of course we no longer have the paperwork and it’s not worth using the warranty because it’s probably going to cost me to ship it back so I will have spent more than what it cost. Not worth it….don’t buy.

This microphone is relatively simple. Plug it in via the USB cable and you're ready to go. Using the downloadable G Hub application, however, provides some additional features, though, such as the ability to change the lighting effects as well as having the ability to apply different equalizer settings and effects to the audio. The microphone comes with the stand attached, but there is a threaded receptacle for an articulating arm or other stand, if so desired. There are a few things that would be nice if available. First, the microphone did come packaged with a cable, but it was a USB-A to a USB-C cable. Anyone with a newer computer, especially a Mac, may not even have a USB-A port anymore. I am a little disappointed that the cable was not a USB-C to USB-C cable. It would also have been nice for there to be a hardware mute button (or switch) on the microphone. Within the software, the lighting effects can be changed automatically based upon the microphone's current function (e.g., one color when in standby and another color when recording). Personally, I wish there was a third option to have another color when the microphone is muted (which, unfortunately, needs to be done through the OS as the microphone lacks a hardware function for muting the microphone). Having used a Yeti microphone before for podcasts and video presentation recording, the sound quality from this microphone was great. (I did notice, however, that it does not isolate the speaker from background noise very well, however. That's good in that the microphone really does pick up a lot of sound, but it can also be a disadvantage in a noisy environment. While the stand is nice, simple, and minimalist, it is also not adjustable. On my particular setup, the microphone sits in my field of view for the monitor by about a half inch to an inch (or so). If only I could lower the microphone just a little bit... So, ultimately, I would probably rate this at 4.5 stars if that option existed. Given some of the shortcomings mentioned previously, I was not comfortable with a 5-star rating, so a 4-star it is.

Bad mic quality and the usb c cable snapped after 2 months of use and it would make my voice very quiet

I love this microphone. When I first opened it i thought it would be something that was similar to a toy. This microphone is sleek with a nice sturdy feel to it. this microphone goes with everything gaming that I have on my desk. The quality sound of this microphone was clear and crisp. The vocal quality it that of something more expensive. I have to say that this is something worth buying for that gamer that is just getting started or more so that entry level gamer. i hav to say it is not only for the novice but experienced gamers as well. I found it very easy to sinc and download other devices with it. The only thing that i did notice was I was not able to hide the sounds of the mouse and my keyboard, which isn’t a really big deal considering the value and price of it. I love the size of it. It is large enough and the sleek design makes this a stylish addition to any gamers ensemble. If you go to purchase this microphone you will not go wrong with it especially for the value. This will make a great Christmas gift.

It worked well enough for a few months then became completely unusable. It muffled my voice to the point where it was impossible to hear what I was saying.

The Logitech G condenser gaming mic with LIGHTSYNC is a very cool mic for creating video content, especially streaming. Up front, I will say my biggest concern is that if you have two people streaming in the same room, this mic does not isolate enough sound for both of you to comfortably play in the same room. I wasn't even able to completely ghost out my own keyboard and mouse clicks. That said, the quality on the mic is excellent. Everything comes through, and sounds like an accurate representation. I appreciate that the mic comes with a desktop stand. That said, it can be mounted on a boom or and adjustable table arm, as well as some camera tripods. The price is fantastic, compared to any other mic of similar performance. While this isn't the top of the line microphone it is excellent, especially if you are just starting to create video content or streaming. My biggest issue with this microphone is the lack of a mute button, meaning that if you need to mute it you either need to do so in the PCs controls, or just unplug the mic.

I'm a big fan of Logitech's Yeti series since back when they were Blue, they've been my go-to podcasting, gaming, audio drama-ing, transportable standard. I've never met a Blue or Logitech Microphone I didn't like... and this one is no exception. The Blue Snowball ICE from way back when is probably what you're thinking when you see the Yeti Orb, but the shape and weight is about where the comparison stops. While the Blue Snowball ICE was superbly simple with regard to capturing excellent audio with no extra bells or whistles, this Yeti Orb is deceptively simple with plug-and-play readiness via a USB-C cable and software that literally takes about 2 minutes to master. Out of the box, the Yeti Orb's audio is crisp, clear, and the cardioid pattern capture is sufficient for most streaming purposes. I also found the noise cancellation (especially for clicks and clacks on keyboards) was surprisingly adept, including for things like subtle crinkling paper or plastic nearby, minor creaks and groans of the desk or chair, etc... all without weird clipping in voice recordings. The mic itself is super lightweight and easily transportable, about the size of a baseball. It features a USB-C connector on the back. Serious streamers will need a longer cable for cable management and/or mounted configurations (the Yeti has two mount ports for this and the tripod is removable), but out of the box, you have EVERYTHING you need for a great audio setup. On both Windows and Apple, I was able to plug and play with minimal effort, but where the Yeti Orb really shown is in the addition of the Logitech G Hub software. Like most geeks, I do NOT enjoy "yet another software suite" bundles that must be engaged to wrench the full functionality from a device as simple as a microphone, and in the past, Logitech's G Hub software behaved so badly that I just gave up on it on Apple devices. I'm very happy to say: this is no longer the case. The Logitech G Hub software has had a major improvement in terms of usability. The Logitech G Hub software had been a major issue in the past which meant you couldn't get the full fun and functionality out of your Yetis; the software did not work well or sync settings previously (especially on Macs)... however, that's no longer an issue here. On both Windows and Apple machines, the Yeti Orb and the Logitech G Hub software perform very well, allowing you to customize the condenser settings in the microphone itself to your environment as well as apply the VO!CE effects, create a series of macros for your stream, and even connect into your streaming hub of choice including OBS, Discord, and StreamLabs (the Yeti Orb comes with a StreamLabs Ultra coupon code). It also comes with an array of sound effects for your Macros which can be programmed independently per program or game, and synced with your gaming setup (and pairing nicely with your other Logitech gear). The VO!CE effects are kinda funny; I could see these being used on D&D campaigns or something similar to augment the story being told... or quick effects for an audio drama or anything else that you needed multiple voices for. Blue microphones have always been stylish, and this one is no different. The fabric coating as well as the black matte plastic and RGB lighting make for a mic you won't mind having on camera with you. The lighting on the microphone itself is syncable to your screen sampling as well as fully RGB so you can set to cycling colors or a specific fixed color almost anywhere in the RGB spectrum. All told: this is a fantastic mic for gamers, streamers, podcasters, and audio-drama enthusiasts. The quick-and-easy nature of the condenser settings and plug-and-play out-of-the-box readiness and form factor mean you could pop up a very quick interview setup at a convention or at your favorite coffee shop and still have a very good recording experience, just as good as if you were sitting at home at your full gaming rig.

Bought this mic thinking it would be better then my no name mic. It was not. Very disappointed, lots of static, cutting in and out and the app is pointless.

GOOD - Inexpensive - Has two 1/4" threaded mount points BAD - Mediocre build quality - No on-unit controls for gain, mute, etc - No headphone/monitor jack - Unnecessarily big TL/DR The Yeti Orb is essentially Logitech's updated version of the the older Yeti Snowball. It's an inexpensive mic with passing quality for its price, but lacks some basic features of similarly costing mics. DETAILS The Yeti Orb is rather plain, even for a "low budget" gaming and streaming microphone. It's a simple sphere with a USB-C port for connecting to your computer, two 1/4" threaded mount points, and that's it. The included base is It has no other connections, no headphone jack, no gain or sidetone knobs, not even a mute switch or button. The included base is, well, cheap. It's molded plastic with small rubber pads on the three feet. When connected to the mic, the mic orb can rotate, but there is no other articulation. All customization and configuration of the mic is handled in software, specifically Logitech's G Hub. Options for tuning the sound profile are pretty good and you can share your custom settings for others to download, or download other users' profiles too. You can also set the RGB lighting and sync it with RGB from other Logitech peripherals, like keyboards and mice, but the Orb doesn't seem to support all the different lighting options that other peripherals do. Navigating all these options in G Hub takes a lot of patience as the documentation is essentially browsing through a lot of FAQs, rather than being able to read a good manual. It's not that the Orb is a bad mic, just a bit of a letdown for the price. Build quality is bad to mediocre. The seams between the molded plastic panels are a bit uneven and you'll feel the occasional sharp edge. The fabric covering half works as a pop filter. Having no controls directly on the unit, especially not even a mute button, is pretty stingy. I'd gladly trade the RGB features for a mute button and headphone jack. With the right sound control and settings, it will sound much better than the typical boom mic on your headset. However you can regularly find competing products from Razer and Hyper X around $40. And if you step up just a little bit from the Orb's price, you can get some very good mics in the $70-$80 range.

This is very much a product for people who want an excellent room mic that they can simply plug in and use. You really don't have to mess with EQ or audio levels to get a great experience. From several feet away, the mix picks up my voice with crystal clarity and filters out the background noise of my AC going off and my neighbors yelling as they pass by windows. I used this for work meetings and had a better experience than I've had with more expensive headsets, and I've regained a degree of mobility as well. Your voice will start booming if you get too close, but by "too close" I mean basically several inches away from the mic. Coworkers could even pick me up clearly when I was farther away then I planned on being, like when I had to break up fighting pets during a meeting. This is truly a top-tier out of the box experience and worth the money. I didn't get much benefit from the G Hub options. You can make more granular adjustments to audio settings in the software, but for business and student use this really isn't necessary. Professional streamers and content creators would probably want to invest in a step-ups model anyway, so for this product fine-tuning is a bit of overkill. The RGB light is cute, but it doesn't take up much surface area on the device, so there's not really much point in tinkering with it. Construction is great as well. This little Yeti is durable and the stand can handle bumping a table accidentally. Even my cats couldn't topple it with a couple of swats. In short, if you need an excellent mic that doesn't require extensive tweaking, and you're not necessarily looking to start a career as a streamer, this little mic provides awesome performance for the money. I've used earlier models of Yeti before, and it's good to see that the quality remains top notch. I like the new color scheme more, too.

The Yeti Orb is a solid desktop mic that can easily upgrade your recordings, whether you're a gaming streamer, a music enthusiast, or just a home user looking to upgrade from a mediocre headset mic. It's an easy to use product that can really boost your audio capture. Setup was as simple as you'd expect from a Logitech product. It's basically plug and play. If you fancy the included mic stand, you can be up and running under a minute. For those looking for more flexibility, the mic has a standard mounting hole on the bottom (great for those looking to use a boom stand or otherwise). As mentioned above, sound quality of this mic is unexpectedly good. Out of the box, the sound profile has been great. Of particular note, the mic was great at filtering out background noises and specifically, I had zero issues with keyboard noise coming through on recordings/streams. I have a fairly loud mechanical keyboard that's been notoriously an issue for almost every headset I've tried, but the Orb has done great with this. Beyond gaming, though, the mic also sounds great in the capacity of recording vocals and acoustic guitars as well. I do some home recording, and also write music, and the Orb has been a total game changer in terms of capturing new ideas I come up with for songs. Being a condenser mic, it's a natural fit for recording acoustic instruments, and this one does it well. I don't necessarily get studio-level recordings with it (and no one should expect that), but again, it's great for anyone that's laying down scratch recordings or that's live streaming their musicianship. I've been very happy with the Orb. It's been a great quality of life upgrade for me, as an amateur gamer and also as a hobbyist musician. Anyone looking for an easy to use vocal/recording upgrade should consider this one.

It been two weeks now and I still haven’t received my order

I was able to try out the new Logitech G Yeti Orb condenser RGB gaming microphone with Lightsync for my PC, and I have become an instant fan. The first game I played while using the Orb, I was blessed up when the squad started in with their “Streamer Mic” nonsense. Logitech knocked it out of the park with this one’s combination of quality, affordability, style, and performance. Out of the box, the Orb is a sight to behold and even more so when placed at the angle on the included stand. The mic is sleek black, and the RGB really pops to add a vibe. You set the tone by using the G Hub downloadable software. The Orb comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable (C to the Orb), which I thought was a bit weird since they could have just opted to go C to C. Either way, it is recommended that you use a 3.0 port for optimal download performance. My personal experience was that the firmware update for G Hub would not complete until I used the 3.0. Afterward, the ability to set the ambient lighting projected from the G in the back of the Orb was super cool. I did find the glow a bit distracting in game due to the glare. Because of the placement of the mic on my desk, I was able to adjust the glow to a sweet spot that worked for me. Again, the microphone audio quality is where this device deserves the most applause. At this price point, it should not work this well. The condenser capsule really does block out everything except the user's voice in a way that delivers that perfect streamer mic. The overall conclusion is that the Logitech G Yeti Orb is a perfect addition to any setup. This is a top tier quality microphone at an entry level price.

First thing first. I use a lot of Logitech products. My keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad are all Logitech. I find they provide great consumer products. Therefore, I was excited to be able to try out their new Yeti Orb Condenser Gaming Microphone. The BLUE sound technology that has been integrated works very well. It provides for any fun voice changing affects you may want to use or have been used on you before in gaming/chat lobbies. The quality of the sound depends on more than just the mic. (general sound stage of the enviorment your using it in.) I find that the software integrated into the yeti orb does a great job at isolating your voice and overcoming weaknesses in any sound stage environments. The main question I had was can I use this mic without a mic arm. I was very happy that the answer is yes. For years I have been using a mic that attaches to my headphones and now I have one less wire running up my arm and cluttering my desk. I love that the RGB works with the logitech G hub. All of my RBG profiles added the Yeti Orb without any issues. The device is great. I have not had any complaints from my online friends. I told them I had a new mic and asked if it was a step back and they said it is good. You can get better mic performance from this mic if you include a boom arm and pop filter but that is not needed. The mic works, looks good. and for me was plug and play. Great consumer product.

Looking for a desktop condenser mic? Need it to have a small footprint? Want it to be customizable? Well, you're in luck, the Logitech Yeti Orb hits all three criteria. This microphone has two mounting positions on the included stand, takes up minimal desktop space, and blends nicely into most desktop computing and gaming setups. Setup is easy and fast - just mount the orb to the stand, connect the USB cord to the mic and your computer, and that's it, you're ready to rock. Out of the box this mic is ready to use, but if you desire some custom lighting and features you can download the G Hub application. There you can work a little magic with LIGHTSYNC and customize your mic lighting to your liking. This mic has done a great job picking up my voice while at the same time filtering out some of the surrounding noise. As with all cardioid microphones, you'll want to play with the positioning to find the optimal placement for your use case. I've used this both for gaming and video chat, with stellar results from each use type. Others have said my voice is clear, clean, and minimal to no outside noise interference. I would definitely recommend this mic to anyone looking for a great desktop mic with excellent performance and the ability to customize. It has found a place on my desktop for quite awhile.

The Logitech Yeti Orb Is a very nice microphone, and while intended for gaming, could easily be used for YouTube, podcast, live streaming and other types of audio content production. It arrived neatly and securely packaged, and took only seconds to set up. It come already mounted on it's tripod, which is solid and stable. Setup was as simple as connecting it via the enclosed USB-C to USB-A cable and allowing the operating system to discover it and load the drivers. Mac and Windows setup were equally painless. One nice touch is the inclusion of two threaded inserts to attach the microphone orb to the stand at different angles or placement using a stand or arm type mount. The thread size is 1/4-20, so it will work with a wide variety of accessories. Overall, this is a great budget microphone. I didn't mention anything about the RGB feature, because it simply isn't something I find necessary or care about. I feel that Logitech would be better off spending that development time/money on something less gimmicky and more functional. So in conclusion, for a budget microphone with a variety of uses, the yeti Orb is a great buy with great sound quality and ease of use. If your looking for a mic in this price range, it's a great buy.

This computer microphone plugs into a computer with a USB plug and therefore is strictly digital and not analog. There is a free downloadable app called Logitech G Hub to utilize many settings available with the microphone including the control of the internal RGB light effects for the logo on the microphone. All settings are saved in the microphone. The Yeti orb has a built-in pop filter. It works very well in that regard. The audio processing is controlled through the G Hub app. There are options to adjust voice effects, filters, noise removal, and many custom settings, filters, and the ability to create new personal settings should the user wish to spend time doing so. The microphone has a mounting screw thread to use it without the tripod stand but attached to microphone arms and booms. It has a very good ability to reduce noise and remember this is a USB digital signal microphone so it does not suffer from any analog interference introduced via a prone analog audio cable. The audio quality produced by this microphone is very good from everyone who heard it via apps such as Zoom, Teams and via my app that allows using my PC for phone calls in Windows 11. It is highly recommended. Good work Logitech!

The Logitech Yeti Orb Wired Cardioid Condenser Gaming Microphone is a decent addition to my setup. But I'm not sure it's a necessary upgrade for those using an attached microphone on a headset. First, I love the seamless syncing with my other Logitech peripherals. Very easy to setup and customize through the GHUB app. Not the best RGB app but far from the worst. It comes with a USB-C connection, which is nice. Aesthetically, it is a pleasing device, with a very simple yet modern look. I definitely don't mind leaving it on my desk. It does a mostly commendable job of getting rid of background noises, although it does occasionally pick up mouse/keyboard clicks, which my friends say is a bit annoying. However, I'll often have sporting events/television noise in the background while gaming and it almost never picks up noise from that. My major complaint is the absence of a dedicated mute button on the device. This would have been an ideal addition for quick and easy muting during gameplay. Just a simple button on the device would make a big difference since so many games require tabbing out which is very inconvenient while gaming. In summary, the Logitech Yeti Orb is a solid performer. While it may not represent a massive leap in audio quality, its thoughtful features and Logitech's signature LIGHTSYNC technology make it a worthy addition for fans of the brand.

I am of two minds on the Logitech Yeti Orb. My son who plays competitive e-sports gave it a thumbs up and I am slightly more middle of the road with it. I believe the Yeti Orb is the first fruit of the newly acquired Blue Microphones by Logitech early in the summer. Not to say Logitech may have had much to do with the internal design, but it is clearly Logitech with the external G branding and tie into the G Hub gaming Software. It has a certain gamer vibe with the glowing G emanating from the back of it, but thankfully it is a tasteful design that doesn't scream look at me. Also, the lighting is controllable from the Logitech Gaming software so it can be set to your liking or even turn off if you want to be more innocuous. The mic comes with a short tripod stand that doesn't chew up a terrible amount of desk space and for most people will probably fit the bill. I used it in this manner and my son replaced his Snowball mic with it on an adjustable mic stand attached to his desk. I found the mic had great pickup and possibly a little too sensitive as it picked up everything I was doing with my mouse and keyboard. I am little surprised it doesn't mask noise a tad better, but it no one complained about the noise and everyone could hear me intelligibly. That said, placement is key. If you try to tuck it away or move it further away from you people may struggle to hear you. So while sensitive I think your voice gets masked as background noise if you don't meet a certain threshold. I have it just to the left of my keyboard and I have received no complaints during online matches. Microsoft Teams on the other hand was a real mixed bag. This one stumps me as it really shouldn't be different, but for whatever reason when I have tried to use the mic in more business situations I have found colleagues asking me to repeat myself unless I have the mic nearly shoved up to my face. Could be a gain problem in the application itself and I haven't played with it more to test that theory as it really isn't the point of the mic. I only bring it up for those that might be considering the mic for dual purposes. My son loves the mic. He has told me several times he believes it to be a step up from his previous Snowball. Evidently his team mates say he is much clearer and easier to understand than before. Not really a true metric of any kind, but it is a good endorsement from a crowd that this mic aims to entice. I believe Logitech has achieved what it set out to do here and that is create a mic for gaming, live streaming, and maybe podcasting purposes. I think it is reasonably priced and the Yeti brand of mics lives on for more continued success. My only negative is really the weirdness in Microsoft Teams which could be important if you are looking to work and game with it.
