My 10 year old Creative Labs 2.1 system blew out the left channel for some reason as I was unplugging them and plugging them back into my PC (so it is part my fault). So I went to BestBuy to get something compatible. Best Buy don't seem to carry Creative Labs so I got the Logitec set. I knew when I bought these that they are a lower power set compared to the Creative Labs but I'm just going to have to return these. Right away I have to wiggle the 1/8" jack to get the sound to work (probably a fluke) and the hiss you get if you leave the sound turned up half way or more is severe. In all honesty the problem for me is that my Creative Labs system set the bar too high for these poor guys. For a person who just wants some sound on a pc these will work ok for you.

Does a great job for the Average Joe. Just enough "above the rest" to give it advantages to more basic models.

I read the rave reviews of these speakers and tested them in-store before buying them. I was excited to find them on sale so I decided to go ahead and buy my own pair. I've had them for about a week. I'm surprised by how good the subwoofer is and have no complaints about that. Maybe I got a defective pair, but the satellites are simply awful. I keep my PC volume at about 80%, and these speakers have major distortion and rattling in the mid and high ranges. I don't even crank them up all the way and I still get such terrible distortion as to make anything I'm trying to listen to unlistenable. I've tried it with many equalizer settings, different kinds of music, and movies, all with the same results. This is really disappointing to me as I was hoping it would be a nice little system for a bargain. I will be returning them to the store ASAP.

Not much to say here, but they work and the sound quality is ok. Every so often, the sound quality deteriorates, but not to the point of being totally annoying. Good response to bass and treble.

I am very disappointed with this produce. I have several Logitech keyboards and several mouses and past speakers which was the main reason that I chose these speakers. Logitech has let me down and now I feel as if their brand is damaged. The wiring, as others have eluded to, are scrambled. Many desk have holes in them to run wires. Can't do that with these speakers because the speakers are hardwired to each other; which is to say I can't push the speaker through the hole. The moment I turned on the speakers I heard a hum. This was very disappointing because this was the reason I was replacing the speakers I already own. So the buy was a waste. Decided too much trouble to return. Then I noticed that a speaker connection was causing static. Oh well. THEN I noticed that one of the speakers was cutting out. That was too much and I returned them.

speakers are ok for the price, however, i had to return first set within 1 week because one of the speakers faded to complete static. As i got an exchange, I found the same thing..because you cannot separate the left and right speakers to adjust them, one of the speakers is very loud while the other is static reguardless how low or loud the music is. the speakers are not equal at all.. tried all ways to adjust but speakers do not differentiate between right or left..they are configured as one whole which if I wanted one speaker I would have gotten a soundbar

I thought that these would be better than the $40 Phillips speakers that we have, but NO, the Phillips are much louder with lots more bass. The Phillips BLOWS away these speakers and they are the same size, same specs. If you just want it somewhat louder, go ahead and get them. If you are looking for something loud with alot of bass, these are not for you. Spend more money on something else or find the white Phillips speakers for $40 instead.

    HORRIBLE SOUND

First, it was almost impossible to set up. NOT PLUG IN PLAY. I had to research online how to set these up. And almost broke my Windows computer. I mean my PC would not Turn on anymore. I spent 3 hrs trying to get these to work. OK they sound horrid. They don't turn on loud at all. Can't fill up a quarter of my living room. I have tried every possible setting on the equalizer for windows and etc to get the bass to be ok. Looked online at the best settings for an equalizer. Moving the subwoofer, putting it on a book, etc. Nothing helps. The cords are short. So don't expect to be able to have much choice in where your speakers are placed. As people said there is no adjusting the bass or anything on the subwoofer. I am highly annoyed I will have to go stand in that line now at Best Buy to return these and oh yah. The box is misleading. I thought these had 50 watts. It says 50 max or something. Whatever. Then everything online never says 50. But anyway, you can not even turn them up all the way or it is totally distorted. and all the way is not even loud.
