    Garbage

Purchased these a bit over a year ago. They always had issue with distortion and uneven balance. I think the pot for the volume wheel was not soldered correctly or there was some kind of short. Overall just cheaply made. The subwoofer sounded alright while they worked. Won't be buying Logitech speakers ever again.

    auxiliary connection stopped working

While it lasted, the speakers were fantastic, the sub had more than enough power for its size. the one day the left speaker cut out and the auxiliary connection has to be moved around to get it to work.

Price was good but quality of sound was not up to par. The woofer was fine. The two speakers were super tinny and distorted music. Voices were ok

    Horrendous!

If you like muddy bass for which there are no controls, and dingy mids and highs, this is the set for you. Anybody who has any respect for the material, and his ears, would vomit after listening to these.. Maybe for games this is acceptable, but true gamers wont be happy either. The poor excuse for a sub so overwhelms the listening experience with distortion that my ears started bleeding after about 15 minutes.. It only took them that long to start bleeding because I was attempting to tone down the muddy distorted sub bass by using software.. But even with the bass end of the equalizer turned off, it was still unlistenable because of the muddy mids and highs... My fault for trying to cheap out.. Took it back and replaced it with the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 thx certified system... What a difference.. Holy Smokes!!

    Cheap speakers, sounds tinny

My 10 year old subwoofer went kaput. Unfortunately, you can't just replace a subwoofer these days, they've dumbed down the systems so much that you have to buy a complete set when you want to replace yours, and can only plug in one line into the subwoofer. Anyhow, I bought these, thinking they would be okay, but they are terrible. They sound tinny in the ear, even when you adjust the equalizer to take down the treble. If I could give the sound quality zero stars, I would. You really do get what you pay for. It didn't last more than 10 minutes out of the box. I wish I could just find a decent surround sound subwoofer into which I could plug in the individual speakers.

DO NOT BUY -- TOO MUCH BASS!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased two sets of this Logitech speakers. The bass is overpowering. Using 2 Dell PC's, there is no way to control the frequency. Logitech Customer Service has not provided any solution. Using a third party equalizer has not helped. Too much time has elapsed for me to return these units to Best Buy. So I am going to throw them in the trash.

Hello scguru, Very sorry to hear about the issue you're having with too much bass with the Z313 2.1 Channel Speaker System. Most PC's have a way for you to troubleshoot sound problems and adjust bass levels of your PC's sound. Right click on the sound icon at the bottom right of your Windows taskbar and then click on "Troubleshoot sound problems". Hope that this helped and that all is going better. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

    Not for Audio Lovers

The sound quality is distorted - end of story. I will be taking these back and upgrading. We put 1k into the PC, 300 into the monitor, why not love the sound for a 100 more... you get what I'm saying?

    Poor Sound, Construction and Quailty

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My son bought me the Z313 speaker system for Christmas an that is the only reason I haven't taken them back. When unpacking the speakers if you're not careful you will punch a hole in the 4" subwoofer because it is mounted underneath the cabinet and has no cover to protect it. The speakers will add bass but will cause the vocals to be too low. There is no way to control the amount of bass or even a tone control. The wiring and control pod is messy to say the least and because of the way it is wired you will not be able to use it in some situations.

    Questionable Quality

I've owned these for about 3 months now, and I never write reviews, however this product is so poor I had no choice. The sound only works in one channel now and the quality is so poor with the volume control. Bang for buck its tolerable, but since mine was defective, definitely think twice with these speakers.

If you have owned a high quality speaker system, you will find this solution to be loud, but ingredjble flat. Missing mid range and bass notes. Very dissatisfied.

Good for the little over 9 months that it worked

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Worked good for the 9 months I have had it and then without warning she died and I am sure it has something to do with the power as the green light on the volume went out at the same time the volume died out. So, for the price, I guess it wasn't bad, just thought it would last longer than 9 months.

I think Bose Companion 2 series are way better than these. I don't understand why one previous review have said that these are better than Bose.

These speakers sounded fantastic in the store. Just puchased them a few hours ago. Hooked them up properly to the computer, and they sounded horrible- practcally no bass from "subwoofer" at all. And they were no way near the volume level they reached in the store on disply. They are being returned ASAP. I do not recommend them.

I don't care about cranking my music, but a little volume would be nice. The speakers sound ok at very low volume. Lots of distortion if you turn them up more then 50 perent. It could be just the ones I received, but I wouldn't take the chance.

I purchased these speakers to accompany a new pc that I purchased. I'm not sure if the person at Best Buy didn't know what he was talking about, but these speakers just continually hummed. Don't waste your money, I'm returning them today

VERY disappointed in this audio system, As soon as I saw the size of the small computers I knew it was going to be weak. The bass has NO volume control and is very low. The reviews are inaccurate.

You can't even turn them up past mid-volume because the bass will create an earthquake. You can't even really hear the music, WAY TOO MUCH BASS and terrible balance. DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS.

These speakers don't compare to the ones I just threw out which was a Logitech Z230. The sound is horrible. Taking it back to get another model.
