It's extremely rare that I've ever written a review. And I'm certain I've purchased more tech than anyone I know, including dozens of speakers/speaker sets. I know that Logitech isn't a high end brand but I've always had great luck with them in terms of portable or PC speakers, but this set is the biggest disappointment of any purchase I've made in so long I can't remember. ZERO bass. There is a bass switch on the side of the power gadget that you can slide up or down. I actually thought I had it set on the lowest end when I first hooked these up the sound was so tinny and awful. Nope! Full bass. After seeing all of the 4-5 star reviews on these plus a great one-day sale on them I figured I couldn't go wrong......,wrong!

Hi "disappointed", Very sorry to hear that the z533 Multimedia Speakers were such a profound disappointment for you. It's surprising to hear that you had ZERO bass with a 30W Subwoofer, but perhaps the connections weren't secure to both your speakers and your device. Another thing to do is to check the volume on not only the speakers, but also that of your audio source. Also, if you're streaming audio content from the internet, it could be the internet connection and not the z533 causing the problem. Try audio stored on your device to verify. If none of these resolve the problem, the z533 does have a 1 year limited hardware warranty. Here's a link to file a warranty claim  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024917374-Warranty-Z533-Multimedia-Speaker-System. Hope that this helped and that it finds you well. - Richard from Logitech

I bought this in January 2021 and it started to do a horrible humming noise from the subwoofer about 1 year of use. It's horrible. The warranty is expired, not worth the money. The sound was great until the problem. Going to call Logitech.

Bought this speaker system based on the reviews and was very disappointed. The speakers sound like tin cans and are not pleasant to the ear. I will be having to go out and purchase another pair of speakers to replace these since the sound is so bad. I do not recommend them to anyone that enjoys listening to music on their computer.

Purchased these a little over 2 years ago and now they make a strange humming noise when they are turned on - it sounds similar to the idling sound effect in an 8-bit racing game. So they are useless now.

We're sorry to hear that you've had unpleasant experience with the Z533. Could you make sure all cables and connectors are connected securely and adjust the volume on both the speakers and your audio source. Also, adjust the bass level on the control pod. However, we'll surely take this as feedback and make sure to share it with the right team.

When the unit is on and there is no sound playing you can hear a constant static coming from the speakers. You will also notice that the left speakers comes on before (at a lower volume) than the right speaker. I had two of these units (exchanged the first for the second) and they both did the same thing. Ended up returning for a different model all together.

I mean, the bass is horrible for what you are paying for. It’s not existent. Even on sale, I regret buying these. Would return if it wasn’t such a pain in the boot to Redbox it and return. Buy a Klipsch speakers instead. They know bass & subwoofers.

Purchased in 11/2019 & it worked & sounded great for 2 years. Now 80% of the time I turn on the computer I get no sound or have to max out the volume to get any sound out of the speakers. Even at that there is nothing but static. This will be the last time I purchase Logitech speakers for my computer.

Hello Chingu! Sorry to hear you're having issues with you z533 Multimedia Speakers. I would suggest making sure all connections going from your speakers to the subwoofer are pushed in fully, and from the sub to your computer as well. Also verify that the speaker icon at the bottom right of your desktop has volume raised up in that area as well. If that still doesn't work for you for some reason, I noticed you said you purchased the speakers on 11/2019, which means about 8 months ago, so you'd still fall under the 1-year warranty for these speakers. It might be worth checking the product page https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/z533-multimedia-speaker-system and contacting the Support on our website. - Mathieu from Logitech

For a C-Note, Hard to Beat

I hesitated on these speakers as they were to replace a Creative Labs set that cost almost twice as much 5 years ago. The Creatives had died, however, and my setup practically requires a control "pod" like this set has. My concerns were unfounded. Pulled the Creatives and set these in their place and boom! sound at least as good as the old ones. All while being better looking, taking up less space, and weighing less. Plus, the control pod not only has the volume control on it, but the bass, which on the old set required crawling under the desk to change. One small complaint: the control pod is permanently wired to the subwoofer, making routing it through all the cables under, behind, and on top of my desk more demanding than it needed to be. At a higher price I'd rate them a 4, but for a sub-$100 set, these are a five. Can't address reliability as I've had them running for less than a day. Time will tell.

Got it sale for $74 hopping they would be worth it. easy set up and everything, but as soon as i turn them on i just heard a high ringing pitch in the background no matter what i plug up to it and the volume controls sucks. I had to turn it at least half way to get any sound out of it. Like i said I gave it a shot but just wasn't worth it to me.
