I purchase this item in store and within one and a half months it went out! I wasn’t the one using the speakers and I was uninformed, so when the return or exchange period of a whole 2 months expired, I couldn’t even return it for the exact same item. Great plan, sorry outcome if your item is factory crap!

Normally if a product breaks on the first day, I return it for another one and go about life. This however sounded so bad from the get go that there was no way I as getting another one. I had a Logitech 5.1 setup that sounded fantastic until the amp died, but this sounds terrible. I got the klipsch setup when I returned it and it is better in every aspect.

Bought this because I wanted to upgrade my computer's sound setup at home. I got it cause I had seen how many good reviews it had and because I liked how it looked. Unfortunately, it didn't work from the get-go -- the dial from where you turn it on and change volume was defective. I then looked up my issue online and it seemed to be a common problem. I would be weary of people looking to purchase this item.

Purchased these speakers about 15 months ago. They were working fine until I had to relocate my computer. After hooking everything up, all that I got was a low hum out of subwofer and speakers. And, of course, its outside of the warranty period. Contacted Logitech via their email and never heard anything from them

Hello. Thank you for sharing your experience and concerns about the Z533 speakers. I'm sorry to hear that you're getting unwanted noise from the speakers after moving them. It sounds to me like you may be getting a ground loop hum. This is often what happens when a circuit or breaker is not isolated and grounded. If you try to use an extension cable and plug the speakers into a different outlet (preferably the old one that it was plugged into before if in the same location), the hum should go away. If that is the case, its an electrical problem and not an issue with your computer or speakers. Another thing could be interference from something emitting electrical waves nearby that the speakers are picking up. Moving the computer/speakers could have put them in the range of the waves. Our customer service team is trying their best to get back to normal after California just reopened and people are returning to work. Please be patient as they are responding to thousands of emails daily.

Sorry about that! Could you disconnect and reconnect everything and check your audio settings if the sound card is set as default playback device. Also, check if there is any loose or damage part on the ports and the cables as well. If the issue persists, we recommend reaching out to Logi Support for further assistance.

I purchased these today coming from another set of $30 logitech speakers, used them for 2 years and they got broken, decided to buy these today and I am happy with them. They have very clear sound for the price and the bass is more than enough. I know what quality audio should sound like and for the money these are great speakers. Coming from high end car audio and loud bass from big subwoofers these are definitely enough for home computer use. Set up is very easy and takes up a small amount of room. Some others may find it a bit bulky but I find that for the sound the speakers and subwoofer produces for the size is really good. They produce really good sound for music as well as gaming. The cables are plenty long enough for me but may be a bit short for others depending on how they are set up. The sound produced from these are more than enough to fill the room and probably annoy those in other rooms that are trying to watch TV or have other things they are doing. Overall they have a very crisp and clear sound. The Bass is definitely enough for the average person. Although if you are used to loud subwoofers in cars these probably won't impress you much.

I am an OTR truck driver, i have a little flat screen tv with a dvd player & when you combine the noise of the air running, other drivers parking & the APU running, you cant hear jack from the tv speakers, even at maximum volume. I was looking for something that would overpower the other sounds & still sound decent so i gave this set a try. I was very surprised at the sound level & quality this little set has on my movies. Surprisingly it gives out a small theater like sound. The two satellite speakers are crisp & clear, even at high volumes & the sub responds to frequencies across the bored. Bass sounds clean, not distorted, even at high volumes. The three of them together sound really good, definitely a high quality sound at a decent price. Big stereo sound for a compact space. Im not saying its the best out there, ive heard better & have had better but for the price range I definitely recommend trying this set up before spending top dollar on a big name system.

Now that I share an office with my wife, 5.1 on my PC isn't really practical anymore. So I opted to go with a 2.1 system with a nice sub (aesthetic and overall perceived sound). I have owned two other Logitech 5.1 systems in the past. The older Logitech 5.1 system I have is the Z506 , and it has to be close to 4 or 5 years old. It still sounds pretty good (3.5/5). Before I bought the Z533 I purchased the store brand Insignia 2.1 that is/was $35. While the satellites sounded great to a certain volume, the bass was seriously lacking. The sub box looked nice, but it was weak. To compare, my roomba was running right near me and I could barely hear the bass on the Insignia. The Z533 has plenty of bass! When sitting at my disk I have it set to 1/3 max bass. I also really like the way the sub box looks with the Z533. I'm glad that it didn't have the copper colored Logitech badge on it that the store floor model had. The positioning with these speakers definitely matters. Make sure you have your sound set up properly as well (e.g. Spotify supports 24bit 48k Hz studio, don't have your speakers behind things, etc). Some games will only support 16bit 48k, etc. The only big issue(s) that I've really turned my head at with the Z533 after a solid day's use (on lots of different music, movies, and games) was once during a song with pretty distorted bass notes. The satellites just couldn't handle it and sounded pretty weird, thankfully I didn't have them very loud! The speakers do his, but it doesn't really bother me that much, when something is playing they sound great. They lose a star mainly because they just aren't 5-star speakers. I would say that these are 4.5 (Great) but not 5.0 (Excellent). I know if I cranked these speakers up they were tear themselves up pretty quickly, I'm sure there would be plenty of clipping. I was originally set on the Z323 (based on reviews and online appearance) when I first went in to exchange the Insignia set, however, while the satellites did look decent the sub was hilariously small, I swear it probably had a two or three inch cone in it. If you enjoy a good amount of bass, skip the cheaper sets with the tiny subs, you'll be glad that you did.
