After my 3rd set of the Z623, I felt it was time to put down more money (you get what you paid for) and upgrade to optical sound. They are still going strong after this long!
Entire Z625 setup stopped working after one month.

When I bought the Logitech Z625 speaker system at Best Buy in June 2020, I had connected my computer to it via the optical SPDIF input, and that worked well. I then temporarily connected a portable DVD player to it via the subwoofer's 3.5mm input, and that also worked well.
However, a month later I connected my smartphone's 3.5mm output to the right speaker's auxiliary 3.5mm input, while I was streaming iHeartRadio. The speakers produced music for about two seconds, but then the whole system went completely dead. I tried disconnecting all of the input sources; toggling the power button multiple times; unplugging and reconnecting the satellite speakers; and unplugging and reconnecting the power cord multiple times, but nothing ever helped. I would also like to note that the volume and bass control knobs were at their midpoints when the failure occurred. So, a very disappointing experience.

The subwoofer is nice and powerful but the speakers themselves can be a little on the quiet side sometimes.

Normally Logitech never lets me down with any of their products but they did let me down with this speaker system. For the price of the system and how it performs is a true disappointment. The sub woofer / base doesn't put out any sound / output unless the sound card that it's plugged into a device / PC with an updated sound card.
