This movie brought back vivid memories of my time in combat. It shows the brotherhood that develops between brothers in combat as well as the mental and emotional stresses. Technically this movie was masterful and accurate. It show that not all of the Afgan people are zealots but rather discent people just trying to do the right thing.

This was a well done movie. I wish I had seen it at the movies. It is based on a true story and there is heavy involvement from Marcus Luttrell the only survivor from the attack, as the title suggests. If you have read the book you will like the movie (normally I read a book and hate the movie). Remembering that this is a true story it is harrowing the abuse that these individuals endured to protect each other.

This movie is excellent and so was the book. An Allstar cast brings to life the incredibly brave warriors who fought a battle with the Taliban. The American soldiers were greatly out numbered and fought valiantly. At times it's hard to watch as the producers did a great job of making the battle scenes realistic and the acting was superb! If u like war movies, don't miss this one!

We all know this is Hollywood, however, pictures like this brings you inside of the situations that soldiers may face in times of war. The choices you decide to make are not as easy as one would imagine. You are responsible for your team, your country, and your family. Not to even get into the politics behind it all. Overall great movie, and a good representation of good guys on both sides.

This movie was fantastic! It was full of courage and acts of great kindness. I recommend this to everyone looking for a movie about our military and the training our navy seals have to endure. I guarantee the open credits will astound you. I was expecting a typical "war" type movie and this definitely made me even more thankful for the men and women who volunteer to join the military and fight for our freedom.

I have not seen a movie this well-done in a long time, if ever. Every aspect of the film is done superbly well, from the acting to the effects, to the settings, to the camera angles, to the dialogue, to the characterization, to the pacing, and the plot. Just perfect. If I am not mistaken, some of the cast members were actual military! They were fantastic.

This movie is a great movie. I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to see in on the Big Screen, So once it came out I got it on Blu-Ray, And I must say.... AMAZING. The movie is suspenseful, and the story behind it makes It hard not to share... Highly recommend it. The bonus features on the Blu- ray , are one of the firsts I have watched . You get to hear the story first hand from the the author.

Great telling of a true story of human redemption, not just a shoot-em-up with Marky-Mark. The action is terrific, the acting is very good, and the story is real. Definitely worth the price, as it is repeatable. It was cheaper to buy it on blu-ray than to go to the theatre, and I have watched it twice. I will have it for the future, when guests come over and want to see a well-done film in 1080p.

another great 4k flick. liek i said who doesn't love mark wahlberg. he is one of today's greatest actors and this film is right up his alley. alot of action and a great story, which actually is based on a true story. one thing is for sure, ANYTIME you see that a film stars mark wahlberg, its gonna have a good story and usually alot of drama or action as well....

First off great movie, good action and acting...BUT, if this movie was not based on a true story, there is no way you would believe it. Throwing yourself off a cliff not once, not twice but 3 times and survive?? Then village people helping? Again, if not based on Kyle's true story, you would spend the movie rolling your eyes...instead you find yourself realizing how touch these guys really are

Excellent account of a group of US Special Ops troops in an awful situation. As a special ops veteran of an earlier undeclared war that the US should not have entered, I have great empathy for the situation in which the men found themselves. Decent acting, thought provoking story line, and extremely sad ending. US soldiers are the best; our political leaders, however, leave much to be desired.

This is a great story made into a movie. This movie is very graphic and violent like most war related movies. Also has a lot of language so it is not for the young. The movie is very realistic and it is great they were able to tell the story of those who gave their lives, they truly are heroes. Thank you to the special forces units who server and put their lives in danger to protect us.

I bought this movie for my retired Navy husband for a Father's Day gift, and he absolutely loved it! He watched it at least four times within a two week period. The packaging included a DVD and BlueRay disc, as well as very interesting footage in the making of the movie...a true story. After watching this, you will truly appreciate what a soldier is willing to sacrifice for this country.

This movie is a masterpiece. The value this movie displays the accuracy is uncanny and priceless. Casting was incredible, the effects and cinematography is seamless and the plot was historically accurate. I had chills, sat on the edge of my seat and was anxious for the next scene. The outcome and true story is heartfelt and the interpretation is honorable! A purchase I do not regret.

I read the book many years ago, so I knew the story very well. This was a very much anticipated movie in the military world, and we were all very excited to know that Marcus Luttrell was a huge part in the making of the movie. With him and other Navy SEALS as advisers on the movie, I was confident that they would do the deceased well... and they did. You always hear, "the book was better"... and in most cases (including this one), its true. But you have to realize the book can go way more into detail than a 2 hour movie can. But even within the time constraints they had, I think they did an amazing job of capturing the essence of what happened on that mountain that day.

I've read the book, and while the film is crazy insane as to what went down, it is still nothing compared to the book. The acting is great, production value great. A very emotional action packed film worth watching. Hard to believe this actually happened. And again, what happens in the film is not at all as bad as what was actually written in the pages of the book.

Throughout the first half of this movie, it was what I expected. The second half made me step back and rethink my feelings for the people who live in that region. A good reminder that people are people... Some are good and some are bad, but you cannot judge them solely based on how they look or the region they live in. Watch this movie and see if it impacts you in a similar way.

This movie was absolutely amazing! The action was over the top. My husband is a true fan of this type of movie, but the mere fact that I enjoyed this action flick so much is proof of how truly engaging it was. I couldn't take my eyes away! It was truly successful in feeding his need to see unlimited action while giving me the solid story line that I needed. This one was a winner!

Great movie! I bought it not knowing a lot about the true story…it was a great movie that was based on true events.

It is an enjoyable film that keep decently close to the real events. Visuals are crisp and clean from the solid cinematography. The sound design is fantastic from beginning to end.
