The really gives you an idea of the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers. It is an amazing story. I suggest you read the book if you have not done so, don't just see the movie. There is a much longer story, and frankly the moving ending has been made more "dramatic" for Hollywood. There was no need for that...the story was amazing as told in the book.

A tough film to watch that viscerally places you in the midst of a failed mission whose circumstances just goes from bad to worse in short order. The film truly captures the power of loyalty, comaradery and friendship backed by the determination and toughness developed through the impossible Navy Seals training. Inspirational, heartfelt and spirited.

This movie shows what it was really like over there during that time. Marcus Lutrell is a true American Hero and a great guy who has been to hell and back. It show what our guys has to go thru and how they survived and unfortunately show the ones that didn't come home.

Aside from being a phenomenal movie, the picture quality and sound from this 4K film in unsurpassed. Watching this move on my Sony 930e 4K television is simply amazing. The crisp colors and contrasting blacks makes watching this film on the same or similar HDR televisions a must. This is a must watch film.

Based on a true story about bravery. Had tears at the end. God bless those who serve our country

As a Veteran I've always had a deep respect for the SEALS and what they do. The fact they are Navy is a plus as well. The actors and crew did a great job always with respect to those that were lost. These guys do the jobs nobody else wants usually without much support or acknowledgement from our own government. They ARE the best of the best.

Awesome movie based on a true story! I first saw this when it was released at the movies and had white knuckle grip on seat the entire time. You cannot go wrong with this Blu-Ray especially if you're an action/adventure junkie! Highly recommend! I've bought this for several family and friends and they loved it, you will too!

Lone Survivor left me with a great sense of pride in our military service. The movie itself was very personal having been in the Vietnam war and experienced its insanity and brutality; risking life and limb for my country. Overall, I thought this blue ray movie was filled with action packed scenes and the filming was exceptional.

Harrowing to watch and emotionally involving. The more times I watch this movie the more I like it. One of Wahlberg's best films. That helicopter crash is one of the most realistic I've seen. The 4k version of this blu ray is more vivid and brings out the crispness in the movie. A fine transfer.

Most Americans can only watch a movie to get an idea of what certain American do for a living that involves so much sacrifice. I myself am fortunate to be one of those Americans who never had to got to battle thousands of miles away. But this film did help me to realize what the brave men do for us on a daily and how little we know about it.

An excellent depiction of brotherhood, and a true story. Focused on all the right things. The action was great but it wasn't the focus. Instead the film focuses on the camaraderie of the SEALs and how they live a sort of double life, being warriors to some, and husbands and fathers to others. Definitely in my top 10 list of favorite movies.

This true story is a heart wrenching account of Navy Seals and a mission that lead to the deadliest day in Seal history. Marcus actually has several cameos in the film as he was there to oversee the project. The big benefit of purchasing this item as opposed to renting it is a portion of the purchase price goes to the "Lone Survivor Fund".

Watching what these Navy Seals had to deal with and ultimately all but one die for, makes you appreciate the sacrifice that the men and women in the military have to deal with on a daily basis. Obviously not to this extent, but we need to be thanking these brave soldiers every day for doing what I know I couldn't do.

I've had this movie on BluRay since it first came out, and this disc looks and sounds great on 4K. Very glad to get it and see how amazing the battle scenes look in more vibrant formatting.

I saw this movie in theaters and it completely took my breath away. Literally, there are some points where you feel like your heart is in your throat and if you blink you might miss something. This is such a great film and such a great tribute to our Navy Seals that I recommend any one buying this movie and praying for our men in uniform.

After reading the book, I was excited to see the movie. There were a few letdowns, but was very pleased with the movie. I went to the theater to see it when it first came out. And then later I bought the DVD to watch again. Great action! It is unbelievable that four Navy Seals took out so many of the enemy. These are some bad dudes!

Awesome War movie! I really enjoyed this movie based on a true story. The cast for this movie was great and the quality of the picture is awesome in 4k. Surround sound in this 4k version is great. Highly recommend this movie!

Great movie on its own, but being based on a true story makes it amazing! The acting is spot on and every major player in the movie is totally believable. I'm a huge Mark Wahlberg fan and he didn't let me down. What these soldiers went through will seem unbelievable, but it really happened. Be prepared to shed a tear at the end...

Lone Survivor is a great movie. Well directed and the story is very easy to follow. You must remember that it is a true story and the events actually occurred. Great movie showing what people risk for the great country of the USA!! Thanks to those who served.

Throughout my career in the military and retirement after service I've had the honor to sit with these men and conduct training with them. They are a credit to the armed forces and should always be held in the highest regard. What they do to keep us safe is insurmountable and everyone should be thankful that they "have the watch".
