It may sound weird to say since this is based on a tragic, real-life event, but I very much enjoyed the movie. The core quartet of actors were able to display the resolve these soldiers had/have and clearly expressed the friendship they had as well. There are many harrowing moments and the sound effects/editing are terrific.

This is a well done military movie based on an amazing book! Most of this story is true but has a little bit of Hollywood flair at the end. Regardless, this movie follows in the same vein as Saving Private Ryan, Band Of Brothers, and Act of Valor for authenticity and tactics. This is a film that should be in everyone's collection!

A heart-pounding and exhilarating thrill-ride that does not let up until the final shot is fired. You feel the tension escalate in the story and between the characters wonderfully and is acted superbly. A true powerhouse of a movie that's a riveting celebration of courage and brotherhood. An unforgettable movie that is a must-see.

Will what to say its a blu ray and if you have a HDTV regardless of the type or model, When its time to watch a movie am grabbing a blu ray the picture quality is wonderful and you can hear the difference on surround sound love the movie highly recommended grab some popcorn turn it up and you'll love it!!!

While this movie is based on a book, it is also based on a real-life event, that happened in the mountains of Afghanistan, back in 2005. As such, it has been glamorized, for Hollywood purposes. This is definitely not a movie for young people, as there are extended scenes of violence, which may not be suitable for young viewers.

Refreshing movie, that depicts what's right in this country REAL American heroes that words cannot begin to describe the selflessness, courage and honor present in both the Special Ops community and our brave men and women in the military. 6-28-2005 never forget and God Bless the family members, Marcus and all of our military.

Must own! Fantastic film based on a true story and it just leaves you in total amazement! Wahlberg continues to impress as a legitimate top actor in the industry and he is amazing in this role! Both picture and audio is one of the best in HD bluray i've seen to date and you feel that you are there in the combat. Go get it now!

This movie is fast paced and really exciting. There are lots of action but gives you the reason behind the movie which it's about brotherhood and strong ties to each. This movie was made to honor the fallen so they did not sacrifice themselves for nothing. The extras are also a nice bonus to show the meaning behind the film.

The bluray is everything you've come to expect. Perfect clarity. As for the movie, it's title pretty much tells you what to expect if you haven't already read the book. It is well acted, ahead a comical couple lines, but overall does an outstanding job of making you feel like you are a part of this sad and scary disaster.

This movie is intense and makes you proud of the men who fight for our country. It also makes you realize there are good people all around the world who believe in doing what is right no matter what the consequence is. It was very emotional. I laughed, felt frustration and cried. I think everyone needs to see this movie!

Very realistic depiction of a true story. It honored the participants and the advisors to the filming was spot on. It was evident that the actors were invested in doing their best to be true to their characters. It wasn't just another shoot em up with guns that never run dry and gasoline fireballs hundred so feet high.

Marcus' Book was truly brought to life and it gives the events without missing a beat. The actual Seal Training footage is awesome. Grab a cox of tissues for the bonus features - parents who lost there brave sons are interviewed and we are thankful that they shared their story... We will remember their brave service!

Really good movie. Lots of action and drama. The movie is close to the actual event, a few things are different but does a good job telling the story or what happened. Has actual photos of the team at the end of the movie and tells a little about them. Great movie.

Went to see this film in the movie theatre and bought it first day it released to Blu-ray. It is a great action/suspense movie. Well done to look authentic. Yes some is hollywood look and acting but I really liked it anyway. It is a battle film and for anyone who likes to watch these type of movies its worth seeing.

- Good actors selected to portray characters - Good Cameo roles for the author and director - Makes one realize the danger of what our soldiers have to face - What I did not like is the decision making on what to do with the Talib shepherds. My two cents (I am not one trained or was in the actual operation) based on the book and movie, is that they should have just tied them up and made their escape. That would give them time to be far away and I know the tailb will search for their kin if they do not return. By that time the Seals would be long gone.

This is an excellent movie and is filmed very well. Although it is not 100% true to the book and actual story (but then again what movie is), it does do a good job explaining the story and remembering the lives of all the brave soldiers that died on Operation red wings. This is a must have for any movie collection.

Great acting all around with awesome visuals. It's based on a true story with the person who wrote the book in the actual movie as well. I really enjoyed this movie, especially Ben Foster's acting. At the end of the movie, they showed all the men who served that passed away. It was very heartwarming and touching.

One of the best action movies of the year or quite possibly the decade. Movie tells the story as it happened and is easy to follow the story line. Mark Wahlberg played Marcus Lutrell quite possibly netter than Marcus could have. Hats off to Macrus, Axe, Mike Murphy, and Danny Dietz. Thank you for your sacrifice!

I wanted to pick something up to watch that night and it had just been released so I decided to check it out.It was exciting and very intense.Gives us a glimpse of the sacrifice the military makes that we have no clue about.I highly recommend this one.Not for kids because of the language and violence obviously.

Enjoyed the movie as I really like watching war movies, especially when they depict actual events and are not just the subject of some director's imagination. I really bought this as my first 4K DVD to see the difference in quality. It was amazing being played through my XBox One.
